I went through the check out process without hitting complete order (to see how cheap you can get an tm this year) and it charged just under $20 for shipping. Not sure where it will originate from but I know it costs $20 direct from tm..

Edit: I would love to be wrong by the way. That would mean ordering direct would be a fantastic deal and better than others I have seen.
I was not talking about the shipping cost, simply the shipping speed you mentioned. So still cheaper and the same shipping speed.

Claimed shipping time was a lot shorter from POTV that from TM. Vgoodiez always gets to me a week later than they say, or has on the stuff I’ve bought from them. POTV is only one or two days late Usually, and occasionally early.I hate waiting.

Finally I have my new Tinymight 2 made by the fine folk in Finland and delivered to me by similar folk at VGoodiEZ.
This replaces the one I fried, and now, being fried, I share my variable airflow throttle valve made with cooling unit halves
set holes to holes, and no o-rings. Of course some means of keeping everything together is needed.

Here seen wide open; I can actually adjust the openings with a wood tooth pick through the mouthpiece.

20241202-143115.jpg

This view shows now the air flow is throttled. Both views are before the cooling unit is installed;
the CU and a mouthpiece keep everything together.

20241202-144039.jpg

It works with capsules, with or without covers, basket screens, with or without rims, or with the cooling unit screen.
(L-R) VGoodiEZ mouth piece, a empty CU half, a 2nd empty CU half (Both without screens),
half-flipped cooling unit with screen(s) toward load.

Notice the modified cooling unit (w/nuts, washers, screw) making a oil-level viewing port so one knows when it is time for a change.

I would like to buy a tinymight 2. Unfortunately, while researching, I noticed that the return rate is also very high.
Can owners of the tinymight 2 confirm this?

There is a very decent warranty, and it is honoured without hassle. I had to send mine back twice because of button problems.

IIUC, this is a weakness with a earlier production runs, and recent runs have a reinforced button. Certainly the PH one does. And I presume he's added it to newer runs of the walnut version, if only to save on warranty costs.

This and the firewood are hands down the two best vapes I own. And the TM2 is a total flavour machine. You won't regret buying it... even if you do have to send it back for repair.

I once had the opportunity to do "sound" as part of a film crew that interviewed Charlton Heston at his Mulholland Drive home.

As an aside, I had Heston miked with an extremely high-quality German-made Schoeps microphone, monitoring on a good set of cans. Let me tell you, listening to that man's voice in this setting--where I was in the room (close by) and getting the audio via microphone--was an experience I will never forget. The phrase "dulcet tones" is an understatement. I'm not sure Heston was the greatest of actors, but his voice was an instrument that he knew how to play, and well.

Anyway, Heston notoriously used the expression: “From my cold, dead hands,” with regard to his relationship to firearms (and one I don't happen to share), but try (actually, don't, because I'd fuck you up, LOL) to take my TM2 PH from me and...

From my cold, dead hands.

My TM2 is a fairly new acquisition. But I can assure you, these are fucking brilliant devices. World class.

No chance of a "return." Really.

Some German dealers have removed the TM2 from their range.
I asked one of them and got the following answer:

Good evening, we no longer stock the Tinymight.
The main reason is that we have too high a complaint rate in view of the high retail price.
We are also not particularly impressed by the quality of the design, especially the switch and temperature control.

In view of the overall high support effort, I have decided to discontinue the item completely and focus on the many other great vaporizers.

Best regards

Addendum: and the manufacturer is also said not to be dealer-friendly

I will admit that, for myself, the way one needs to use the switches and buttons on the TM2 are not my favorite aspects of this otherwise world-class vape. For example turning the unit to Zero level temp (which is my standard choice) locks out the unit. So I need to set it on 2 (not super easy with old eyes), get it going, and then reset to Zero. Whatever.

But OMG! This is a fantastic vape. Not only are they beautiful, and the Purple Heart for my taste is especially so, but the quality of the vapor is superb. I have no tolerance for "burnt popcorn" flavors. The TM2 delivers.

The good old internet will provide a lot of contradictory feedback at times. But don't let that muddle your mind.

Look at the reviews here on FC. I've yet to see on that isn't highly positive.

I treasure mine.

This is hilarious. "We stopped selling it because people said it was too expensive.' I feel like something else was happening there but maybe that vendor just doesn't like customer contacts. 😄
I read that as “we were getting too many customer complaints for a device priced that high,”’not that they were getting complaints that it was too expensive.

Yeah this still sounds a little ridiculous, not knowing anything about who those German dealers are, but I would be skeptical that they are perhaps likely biased in continuing to support S&B primarily...? They might also prefer to not carry more artisan leaning products, there is so much versatility with a unit like TM, that the average know nothing person could not get on with it at all, maybe they also had poor support though?? So people who purchased one even unclear exactly what they are in for... Quality of design is relative, but I would take the dial and trigger over any digital display garbage personally that we've seen in many mass produced vapes that I'm sure they carry happily... I honestly don't know what a view of overall high support effort really means, that does make it sound like they just don't want to put in any effort supporting their customers???... That last note says a lot, they feel the manufacturer of TM is not dealer friendly, maybe this dealer expects more of them as if they were a gigantic corporation....????? (so just buy direct)

I've never had any issue with my TM, any of them, many of us have not, many others who have had issues were well taken care of as well... More people are likely to complain, than say how happy they are, but I wouldn't trust a shop like that very much personally? It depends on the user ultimately, with enough research here, the choices should be clearer... I think concerns over quality and reliability are a bit overblown when it comes to this product, though it is not for everyone, the more artisan type even like this that is leaning toward the more mass produced, still much smaller scale and different type of product, but many of us appreciate that aspect personally, so choice is yours :2c:

Anyone upgraded to a purple heart and felt it simply wasn't worth the extra spend ?

Currently looking at an upgrade for myself and a Christmas present for someone. Own a TM2 "standard" and love it

Someone else mentioned that the new standard versions come with all of the oven upgrades that were originally PH version only is this confirmed to be the case ?

Take considerations like extras and accessories off the table in the comparison please as I doubt I or the intended recipient would use the included accessories very often if at all.

I wish it were clearer in which units the upgrades have been implemented. I suppose he's worried he'd never shift old units if he made this information available. 🤔
