Is this glass ball stem not super restrictive? Just noticed it has an in build glass screen. These things are atrocious for ruining airflow in my experience.

Anyone who is an experienced TM user have opinions on it?

I am not an experienced TM user but I have used quite a lot of vaporizers over the years, look at the B1, it has a chamber filled with 3mm rubies (way smaller and with less space between them compared to the glass balls that come with the stem) and two grids that are tighter than the basket screens of the TM, and the airflow is very good and not restrictive.

The airflow with the glass stem with balls is very good (short stem with cooling unit is more restrictive), even with added 3mm rubies in between the spaces and using it heavily for a week, there is a lot of reclaim in there it is a little more restrictive than clean but still quite free.

I don't think these basket screens are bad for airflow, unless they get dirty.

I actually ordered more 3mm rubies because the added cooling is insane.

Sorry if this is a dumb question but was curious on how to use session mode. I’ve only been using on demand and was looking for tips on the session mode. Should it be set to a warmer temp, than on demand? What’s a recommended dial level for a flavor chaser in session mode

I only use session mode to avoid pressing the button if it is awkward on a glass piece. I use the the same settings. It simply hold the button down for me

I usually use session for hash in caps around 4 on the dial. For herb 2.75 to 3.75, but usually 2.75 for tasty pulls. I’ve been using on demand lately to compare to the S3, but usually I use session as you get at least 1 more bowl from the battery, on demand is hard on battery consumption, maybe 4 bowls compared to 5 or 6 using session.

Yeah I only use it for one hitters through water really, so I can turn it off while I'm still inhaling, to fully clear the heat and vapor from the TM and stem... I think this is a benefit of that tinymigh.t bowl or whatever so you can remove the TM from the stem quickly bypassing the o-ring seal (keep an eye on good vibes boro for something similar coming soon possibly btw)

I only use session mode on my TM2, I find it much more convenient and I don't think it uses much power in between hits in order to keep the heater at temp but yeah you have to remember to shut it down when you're done. About the dial level for good flavor I'd say anything in between 2 and 5. The temps should be the same between the two modes.

I forgot to add in my first post about the glass stem with balls, the capsules fit perfectly in it, the space between the opening and the glass screen is exactly the height of a capsule.

I also use session mode and much prefer it to on demand mode. I do understand why people use on demand but just feels better for me to use session.

I'm 19 months in and never even activated the session mode...
Always want to clear my hits and spread them out or go back to back as i please so on demand is how i roll.
Matter of personal preference/different usage style i guess as i'm sure it hits just as hard either way!

Really enjoying the glass balls for cooling that came with the PH!
Been using them in two configurations: the 'new stock' stem (with glass screen/mp) and the long (OG stock) stem with half CU (empty) for screen and ditanium mp (fully open airflow, great cooling!).
Both work and taste pretty good!

I'm really liking seeing all these new stems. I never did get a stem (other than the stock one) that fit the wooden Eds mouthpiece, which is a shame, cos I really like the mouthpiece.

I probably don't use the TM2 enough if I'm honest. My preferred use is with the sidecar bubbler, but I find a little tedious to clean, so I don't use it heaps.

Hi, as my tinymight was fixed by the 2 months ago (after less than a year of use), as i want to open it again to make the button more solid and not moving, do you think that i shouldn't open as i could make problems on theirs fix?
I don't think so, but i m really carefully as i want to keep working as much as i can (possibly more than a year).
Then i m wondering if a little bit of plastic tape close to that button could underpower or make problems to the electricity /connection (but i don't think as i posted here the pic last time and nobody say anything about it).


2-right now it's a bit scratched and signed, If i want to slightly scratch the gray external area, what you suggest me to use to not ruin it?

3- right now im using just glass stem and cu. What do you suggest me to buy on aliexpress, apart a second 80mm stem?
Would you suggest me to use dosing capsule (maybe instead of basket screen?
It looks interesting, as it could keep the vapor fresh, but also prevent a little the weed to finish in the cu/mesh/oven.
I would love to buy a second cu there but i can't find it there and average price is 35€

4 as i don't like to waste alcohol and both not having all dirt, where you suggest me to clean the stem/? I thought i can immerge in the chamber glass, as it perfectly fit it, i don't know any other small container made by glass (or something that alcohol doesn't ruin)

In my previous post on this thread, I told of reinforcing my button with a suitably sized piece of plastic that fills the space between the button micro-switch and the USB connector. The switch/plastic/USB become a firmer 'sandwich-singularity'. It has been six weeks now with a better button.

Edit to add that the work is not hard, but how to source a small piece of plastic.

Using a 55 vor 80mm stem, fill it with some glass pearls/pills, ad a mouthpiece (blocking the pills) and close the other side with a basket screen. Now you can use the rimmed basket screen or dosing capsules. Nice cooling and airflow (not as free as without, but perfect for me) and not as huge as the j-hook. That's propaply why they added the glass stem with balls () to their shop.
Dry for the uncleaned pictures no ISO ready to grab atm.

Curious what size pills I should get to do this. I can't seem to find the sizes anywhere.

I have the 15 ball stem, it's not restrictive at all. Didn't it come with the vape? You could just try it out if so.

Im in U.S-Few months ago i contacted TM about my 2 yr old TM2 button having no feeling or click anymore & virbration working sporatically. - They sent me info to send unit to Vgoodiez in Georgia for fix under warranty. I sent it off & got it returned working perfectly. VG turned it around in a day after they received it. Button now has a good click when pressed. I saw somewhere online that a little silicone piece is used to stabilize the button. Anyway TM warranty worked perfectly & was quick.

I love my TM but the fact you had to do this drives me crazy. Anyone who has studied PCB design knows that you need to provide strain relief and mechanical support for anything that attaches to it and interacts with things off the board. You never never use solder as a mechanical connection. There should be a little metal cage around\behind that button with through holes on the board for solid attachment. It's PCB 101, they have a wide variety you can buy stock from the electronics suppliers for pennies. The compression electrical connection through the housing of the TM1, fixed in TM2, was ridiculous.

His tuning of the heater is a work of art but his PCB design skills are amateurish. I wish he would spend some time talking to an electrical engineer for his next model. I love my TM, but it could be so much better for a tiny additional manufacturing cost.

It's not entirely new, there's nothing visual really, the ceramic posts are more robust, thicker, so I guess that could be visually noticed maybe? The actual stainless steel ribbon heating element is the same...

I've experimented with numerous stems. My favorite is the XL Rocket. Nothing I've tried draws or hits as cloudy or strong. I bought 1 on Sneaky Pete and another on Ali Baba and they're virtually the same. I use with a screen. I like the Grav but am not fond of the large bowl depth. The OEM stem and cooling unit doesn't draw/cool as well as the XL Rocket. I refuse to use the provided washers but occasionally use the OEM stem and cooler. I have a sidecar I haven't used due to bulk and cleaning issues. Would be foolish to put water in it anyway. Also got stem with bent mouthpiece and dimples on Ali Baba but its bowl is too deep. IMO, the titanium stem is useless.

I use On Demand almost exclusively. My average session lasts 15-20 minutes (8-12 hits) and I get 2 - 2.5 sessions per charged battery. My dial is set to around 7.5. I usually switch batteries when the light turns pink.

From what I was told by Tinymight prior to its release, the Purple Heart edition has zirconium glass around the heater as the biggest difference (and perhaps only one) from the previous TM2 versions. And wood color of course. Perhaps the pins are different and I haven’t looked nor do I plan on taking my PH apart unless necessary.

Loving my PH so far, by the way. The one thing I’ve noticed in 2+ weeks since I’ve had it is that performance seems weaker on low battery charges than with my OG TM. When my TM was repaired a couple of years ago it was like putting a Ferrari engine in a Datsun, and I enjoyed lots of sessions on 2 or 1 battery level compared to before the repair. When the battery level gets to the same in my PH, it’s not as robust nor does the PH seem to extend the battery like my TM does. It’s very unscientific but a casual observation. I label and rotate my batteries so I know which are older/newer and can account for that (but again unscientific).
