And I got everything and more done, lol.........took me about 3 seconds flat to know I don't like the changes on either of them, especially the FW8. ;)

When your wrong, just admit it damnit, lol. The new red, with a titanium stem, the TM powder coating sanded off, and a darkening of the red over time will be joining me at some point in the future.....uh, yup! But will not concede to battery cover or stir tool, no siree! :nope:

Can anyone recommend a stem that cools really well but also small enough to be on the go with? Also worth noting that I’m strictly a native user.

High artisan terp pill stems or Ed’s tnt wood stem filled with boro beads.
Both great cooling, wood obviously a bit more durable but also has a little more draw resistance than the high artisan.
I’m sure there are others back through the pages of this thread as well. Good luck in your hunt.

A few members on this thread are making titanium stems, some may be custom length too. Search the thread as these were fairly recent posts within the last month or two. I don’t have one though I might consider getting one about the same length as the short stock TM glass stem for my second TM when the TM2 is officially released. I too am a HUGE native user with all my vapes, TM included. I use rubber caps to protect my TM glass stems:

I'm in group D for the firewood and I've never been so happy to be so late on a waitlist. The FW8 looks wise doesn't interest me. The capsules don't interest. The battery pack is a negative. Unless the usage differs a lot from the FW7, I'll be sticking with that.

Kind of the same with the TM2. It just doesn't seem like enough of an overhaul to warrant purchasing a new unit. The biggest upgrade is the USB-C port and like others have said, I never charge through the unit. A new wood option sounds neat, but still wouldn't be worth it imo.

How is this mimicking s&b? Neither the mighty or crafty have a battery pack.

I can recommend a Ti stem I bought from dzoinp. It is great with cooling and also you can carry it with you no problem. Mine is 60mm.

Good Vibes Boro

For all of these responses, I have a dumb question - but do we know if this will fit in the TM2 without issue?

All indications from the beta testers seem to infer the stem size will be the same in the TM2 as it is in the OG TM. I’m banking on it as I have extra stock stems now and don’t need additional glass ones. I’ll take a RED TM2 please () without any extras! :) A 3rd party titanium stem can’t be ruled out though I prefer glass at this point. :peace:

You already have lots of great recommendations but the stem I use on the go now is from 508phineas on Instagram. I have heard he is not making more but he might still have some. The two that I have cool wonderfully, with no CU.

Which screen do you use without CU? Such a basket screen with an edge? I only ask because i always had problems with the thick red oring where the screen always got stuck. And a screen without a "border" doesn't hold up without anything behind it.

Yep. I use a dome screen with no rim. Like you said, the ones with a rim get caught on the o-ring and make a mess. I have a bunch from Amazon and Ed's TNT.

I don't have any problem with the screen slipping out. The Vlad stems have a dimple to hold it in place, but I find the screen tension is enough for me.

Thx. That is nice that the stems have a dimple to hold it in place.
In the past i had dome screens without rim and i had sometimes the weed in my mouth because there was not enough tension. That is not nice, weed in the mouth while vaping.

Anyone know if the wood on tm2 is finished or like the old?
The TM2 will have the same finish, like the newer batches of the OGs.The maker has opted for a hard oil finish ,that gives a bit of matte look to the wood and it has been tested for wear and tear and appears to be holding very well ,compared to a more shiny finishes ,that start to show wear sooner in time. The reason the new batches look a bit smoother is due to the grain . Walnut has much smaller grain than oak and surfrace will be more even !
