The buyvapo mp looks like what you’re looking for. Not a fan of the Ti stem, was running with the screen from the TM cooler for adjustable bowl and filled with 6mm quartz beads and a glass mp and was very hot to the touch so added Nano silicone grip. Tried RustyOldNail’s tip to use the Simrell MVS and also using Blackwood Stinger. Works pretty good with hash in caps as a nice sipper and using the adjustable bowl for herb. The stem still gets very hot, the MVS warm and vapor pretty cool.

SEARCH for the treasure...

That’s the one I bought long ago. It’s fine, but the orings were NOT the right size to fit the TM stock, short glass stem. I found an oring in my collection. So just be aware it might not fit on whatever you are trying to put it on, unless you have the right oring size, which would be stem dependent.

Yep I recall that, I have one, but I never tried to use it, or the Ti stem, not sure if I can!

I have a titanium WPA from them that’s pretty good. I don’t own the TM mouthpiece though.

Well, my TM2 has a broken glass sleeve. I was going to send it in, but then realized how much it would be for repair (not warranty) service and shipping from the US. It's about half the price of the unit itself.

I don't think I would have too much problem replacing this upper glass with the upgraded metal sleeve. Seems pretty easy.

My concern is the lower glass sleeve around the heater. I don't know if it's broken, but if some of my clumsy drops caused the top glass to crack, then I would guess the lower might be cracked too. Here is the issue, because this looks like a much more complicated repair to prevent further damage.

After reading some past posts here, it looks like the biggest issue is loosening another screw, besides the long tork screw, that holds the top plate in place. Looks like the lower sleeve is still glass in the non-PH models. Has anyone had success in switching out both sleeves without damaging the unit?

I would just replace the top glass and call it good, but I worry about breathing in glass dust if the lower sleeve is broken.

The bottom heater sleeve is not an easy DIY replacement. It's been done a handful of times, but it's tricky to control the heater coil whilst removing and replacing the sleeve. I would take the top off to have a proper look inside the heater assembly. Or just send it back because you know they'll take care of everything.

Upon further inspection I can see that this is more than I want to tackle and not void the warranty. I paid for repair service and am waiting for further instructions. I am assuming they will replace the upper sleeve with the metal upgrade. I understand that if the lower sleeve is cracked, that replacement is still glass.

I think I must own about 2 dozen vapes, but this is the only one I want when I have to vape outside in the cold and still enjoy the experience. I imagine it's gonna take a while to send it all the way to Finland and back. :disgust:

I think you can understand why some of us have backup TM, not just backup other vapes, kind of feels like a need lol

One good thing about sending it in, is that tend to fully upgrade your device with all the latest updates. I sent mine in for a faulty button and they also replaced my glass sleeve with SS, and made the battery connection more firm.

I have used an old Simrell stem with the stock TM “short” glass stem. More info here:
I believe you initially informed/educated me about Simrell style options. Thank you! Certainly something I’d like to try in the future. Still on a long hiatus however there may be light at the end of the tunnel soon.

I think the lower glass sleeve is zirconia around the heater with the purpleheart TM2s. I would hope they’ll start using this with other editions - if they haven’t already - and repairs. Hope yours is fixed soon.

There is a statement from Tinymight postet by a member that it is only for PH.

Happy to hear that my unit will get repaired in the US by VGoodiez. Should take much less time than going to Finland.

Unless I am missing something, there really isn't a good way to view that lower glass sleeve that fits over the heater. It sits below the chamber holding the upper glass sleeve, which can't be removed without removing both screws and the top plate. I was concerned that both sleeves might be cracked, but anyone who has dropped their TM2 could have a cracked lower sleeve and never know it. A bit of a design flaw, yet I appreciate the all glass air pathway. Sounds like the only way to have the new Zirconia sleeve is to have the updated heater design which currently only exists in the PH units.

If and when a TM3 comes out, this unit will become my back-up. For now, it's a daily sipper.
I'm freezing my ass out there, trying to warm up a FW9 and go through a conduction sesh in 0 degree weather.

Yeah, it’s not easy if there is just a crack in the glass. I received one TM and the bottom glass was really shattered, so it was easier, pieces fell out. I had a spare glass cylinder, and thought I could repair it myself, but the SS coil SPRUNG OUT, and that was my only attempt at repair. I sent it back….

I think if you hold the button and stick down and shake it if you hear a rattle could indicate there’s broken glass inside. Could have sworn vgoodiez was upgrading broken tm2s and warranty tm2s to the newest insides and button, at one point you could even just buy the upgrade for around $85 but now I can’t find that on their website.

I believe there is always a slight rattle in the TM2. Both of mine have it and i even took a video and sent it to tm to check. This was their response:

Hi ! Sounds like this is the rattle from the heater guard, nothing to worry about ,it needs to sit loose, otherwise it can expand from heat and crack the wood :) !Have a nice day !

I was sick of my screens getting gunked up so I bought this 12.7mm pipe screen from aliexpress. It sits loosely on top of the spacer/reducer in my tmbowl clone.

No real difference in airflow and suits my needs.

I’m guessing the answer is yes, but, do the capsules bring some conduction to the TM2? And do you feel it’s more of a conduction high when compared to no capsules?

I don't think it can change the function of the vape much, it's still not a conduction vape... Pure convection on demand regardless so I would find the capsules here very inefficient personally not useful at all really, imo much easier to just load and unload the glass stem
