Anyone else have a top plate that appears uneven?

I just noticed it with mine. I sent it in to be repaired not too long ago and now it seems like the top plate isn't perfectly flat anymore as in one side is lower than the other. Is that something I can fix easily on my own?
This was getting on my nerves so I decided to open the thing and fix it myself. Sure enough, once I removed the screw the top plate came off way too easily. Looks like they didn't fit it back on properly. Fit it back on myself and reassembled it and it's good as new.

So I'm a moron and I tried to open the TM2 without removing the battery

I immediately noticed smoke coming out of the bottom of the unit so I removed the battery as quickly as possible. Then I put it back together and it functions just fine, it seems like.

Any chance I did some damage and I should send it in to be repaired?

When you see “smoke”, something was burning…
Unless you are capable of opening the device totally to look for any damaged components, you’ll never really know. It might function “normally”, and have issues later?
Personally, I’d send back for inspection. Good luck.🍀

Yeah, I paid the $80 to get it serviced. My own dumb fault.

Dang it.

I destroyed my TM PH stem, the one that looks like a micro-penis, with cooling balls inside.

The unit also came with a shorty stem, which is okay in a pinch and might actually be superior when using it with hard-core "smokers" who are hooked on combustion, but I'd like to replace it with a cooling stem.

So I'm soliciting advice. Replace the micro-penis or go with a different option.

Thoughts?

I didn't think I would like this stem, but it has become my daily use for a while. I have a nice jhook to pair with a 18mm wpa, but this thing is so easy and pretty decent cooling. And they're $27.

I'm glad you like it but I still wouldn't trust those beads personally

This is the one I also use. Works great !!

How can I ensure the red o-ring in the Tinymight chamber is properly centered when reassembling it after cleaning?

The size of the O ring itself pretty much centers it for me, but remember that the tighter the retaining ring is tightened the fatter the O ring gets so the firmer it holds the stem.

I have a lot of molicels (both 28 and 26) and none of them have the warning...
Just ordered a bunch of P30B's so curious to see if they will have it.

Received the P30's today and they have the "no vape" warning.
All my batteries come from the same vendor (and i'm sure they're legit) but this is the first batch that has the disclaimer..

Note: the "bare" battery in the picture is not naked: the wrap got damaged and i rewrapped it with a transparent battery sleeve. ;)

What is your concern about the beads? I seem to remember something about "soft glass" but couldn't find anything related here. In the rest of the internet, I found that some glass pieces/bongs are made out of "soft glass".

Do you have a "quick enlightenment link" ?

I don't have a link for you, but yes it is soft glass unknown glass, but primarily there is a hole through them... They are literally beads, not pearls used for dabbing vaping etc... It has been discussed how bad these were to use in the past as people attempted rubies that were beads as heating elements and they were destructive lol I would not trust their integrity for cooling either, potential glass dust etc so close with a short pathway and nothing to stop it from being inhaled theoretically... And it's just stupid, there's no reason to have a hole through them, it's cheap and lazy, with disregard for quality

I have Sneaky Pete’s rocket stem and it does not use ornamental glass beads with holes in the one I have and the glass is thick, there are cheap knock offs with them, I find Pete’s and 420edc stems quality items, with 420edc offerings with boro or various terp beads.

Okay, I was pretty sure I saw one from SP or GN website that had holes through the beads, I've seen other stuff from them that was pretty questionable quality, and some knock-offs that I wasn't thrilled about lol but generally Pete is decent enough I guess!

Yeah 420 EDC is awesome, I wouldn't expect them to have shit quality like that either

Same here. Mine is "ok". It's does a really good job cooling for it's size, but the o.d. is a little too small. Even when I tighten the o-ring as tight as I can get it, it still has a little play. I find that if I move it slightly upward when drawing it seems to "lock" in place. It's never fallen out, but I wouldn't chance trying to "whip" the TM while this stem was inserted. I'm pretty sure I could fling it out of there. To be fair, I'd never whip my TM under any circumstances though.

My rocket stem had very thin glass and beads with holes, i used it around seven times until it broke by a 5 cm fall...
Probably not annealed properly. Annealing bungs the price up as it uses a lot of energy for a relatively long time (some things may even anneal for weeks, even months), and this is why a new bit of glass that's cheap, is almost always cheap for a reason. There's really no other way to make glass strong and fairly flaw free. Better to pay more, buy less and choose carefully.
