Thx for the reply. They aren't worth twice the price of a P28A for use in a TM.
They're not twice the price tho (P28=3.75,- and P30=4.85,- ) but obviously still a significant difference (more than 7% for sure

That's an unusually low sale price, worth buying (maybe) at that price. Typically they are more like $9 - $12.Thx for the reply.

Edit: only buy from a well known online store, cells from Amazon are often rewrapped fakes.
The TM OG is known to have problems with low temperatures from time to time. There are a few work arounds. I'm not aware of such problems with the TM2, not that they don't exist, I just haven't heard of them.My question to the hive mind is this. If getting new batteries didn't bring the heat back it originally had doesn't it mean the TM itself is the problem?
did this happen with a TM 2???So I too had low temperature issues and contacted TM. I was advised to try new batteries and edit the temperature settings. I did both and it was successful.

Don’t get me wrong. I’m ecstatic to have my favorite portable back in rotation. But it seems to me that a return for repair isn’t an if, it’s a when.

did you test if it was fixed with just a new battery before editing the temperature settings? So I too had low temperature issues and contacted TM. I was advised to try new batteries and edit the temperature settings. I did both and it was successful.

And didn't you just try new batteries first? Before recalibrating?I was advised to try new batteries and edit the temperature settings. I did both and it was successful.
2 years in with my TM2 with 2 different batches of 18650's in use. No noticeable difference in performance since day 1. She rides like a dream!I have older batteries in use, they might not have as many hits per charge left, but haven't noticed any performance decline in my TM2 over time (if I did, I would open a warranty claim personally, shouldn't be normal imo)
My first guess would be that the stem is packed too tight. I know you said you tried different packing methods, but the fact that the device is getting hot to the touch really leads me to this conclusion. Just sprinkle it in there, no tamp. Good luck!I recently upgraded to the TM2, but unfortunately, I’m not satisfied with it yet.
I’m using medical-grade weed with about 60% humidity. I’ve tried grinding it to various consistencies, from fine to coarse, and packing it in different ways—loose to tight—but the results remain unsatisfactory.
When I use it the same way as other vaporizers I’ve owned (like the XMax Pro V3), it doesn’t produce as much vapor as my cheaper ones. Vapor only starts to appear at levels 7 or 8, and at that point, the device becomes very hot within about a minute. Even with long draws, the first and second hits produce no vapor or flavor. Only the third draw starts generating vapor, but by then, the device gets uncomfortably hot.
With so many positive reviews and comments everywhere claiming this device is a game changer, I can’t help but wonder—what’s going wrong with mine, or what am I doing wrong?
I did, but the performance still wasn’t as powerful so I recalibrated. It’s what led me to the conclusion that my TM2 will probably need work done by the manufacturer. And didn't you just try new batteries first? Before recalibrating?
Now I would say try the old batteries...I did, but the performance still wasn’t as powerful so I recalibrated. It’s what led me to the conclusion that my TM2 will probably need work done by the manufacturer.
I’ll have to dig them out of the trash. Now I would say try the old batteries...
Uh, putting Li-ion batteries "in the trash" is really not a good idea. Environmental considerations aside, they are simply quite volatile, and when they do "vent" it's like a Roman Candle going off...I’ll have to dig them out of the trash.![]()

Peese!
wrongwith tightly packed material and strong pulls
problemall my batteries last for about one bowl
Which calibration is set?I also tried to recalibrate the unit out of curiosity.
It sounds like there may be something wrong with your TM. It could be user error, but you might want to check in with Tinymight or your retailer. Where did you buy it?I’ve tried all of that. When the material is packed loosely, there’s no restriction, and it produces no vapor—just air. Overall, I’ve had slightly better results with tightly packed material and strong pulls, but it’s still far from satisfactory.
I also tried recalibrating the device out of curiosity, but I read in this thread that recalibration might indicate a potential issue and that it could cause the battery to drain faster. In my case, all my batteries last for about one bowl (roughly 4-5 draws) before the indicator already turns turquoise.
What batteries are you using? How old are they?all my batteries last for about one bowl (roughly 4-5 draws) before the indicator already turns turquoise.
Did that change anything?I also tried recalibrating the device out of curiosity,
For reference: i've been using TM2 for over two years and don't think i ever went as high as 8.Vapor only starts to appear at levels 7 or 8
^^^ This ^^^What batteries are you using? How old are they?
It's not normal they go down so fast, makes me think that maybe the batteries might be (part of) the problem?
