TinyMight / TM 2

Feel like I’m winnin’ when I’m losin’ again
Grabbed this hard shell case off Amazon and it turned into quite a nice kit. I enjoy off grid motorcycle camping, and having a kit that can last me a decent trip without taking up excess volume is more than just nice to have, it’s necessity.

This kit has extra parts/cleaning supplies, three stems, three P30B’s (two in the white storage tube), a two pot Reload, a three pot StashCann, and TM2. All in a tidy, well protected kit. Much better than the stack of power banks if I take Venty, or awkward (and dangerous rattling around in hard cases) cans of butane.

Hello gang.... I'm working through VAS again, one year after a good run with Venty. Lots of folks have had so many problems with it but I got lucky with no issues for an entire year. Looking at TM2 for the pure convection aspect, and wonder if anyone can answer the following about the screens used in the TM2.

• I understand that there are two and they are differently sized? And apparently one of them becomes concave shaped when fitted in the oven chamber?
• What are the sizes of these screens? I've searched but that info isn't available. Can I acquire them in bulk without spending a relative fortune for "2 pcs" from TM?
• Any other accessorizing I should plan for? I'm shopping stems but I'll run stock for a while before I go there.

Thank ye all

Yes you can get screens elsewhere, there have been links shared, it depends on the stem you are using and the type of screen you like if you want a basket screen or a flat screen etc... And yes aftermarket cooling stems, there are so many different options, I haven't used stock in years and I plan never to again lol plain WPA with hook was the way until I got dedicated u turn stems

Thank you... Now I have more to study; didn't know you can choose "flat" or "basket"... and that it depends on the stem being used.

I'll continue to read here. Only 937 pages to go. :bang:

Haha yeah it's so large and there is so much unnecessary stuff hopefully skimming through, but you could also try searching for the word screens? Versatile means there are just so many options in the end

The rogue wax works screens are the ones I prefer I have about 10 and have only thrown away one or two in the past 2 years. They clean well and keep shape.

My tm2 fell off the bed the other day absolutely my fault, my favorite wpa shattered and I thought my unit was done for, to my surprise it didn’t really suffer any cosmetic damage, no cracks on the glass lining. Probably will be looking to buy a back up unit this Black Friday

I shall add further to the unnecessary stuff among the 1000 pages of otherwise useful information

There are myriad types of stems, but I like the glass-bead filled accessory stem that came with it. It has just one screen up at the mouthpiece end to keep the beads together, but the bottom oven-end of the stem is a "glass screen" of sorts, a glass barrier with holes in it. A dosing capsule fits well inside of it, and I suppose that's exactly what it's for (genius I am).

There's just one "sticking" point about this stem/capsule combo...
The contact between the dosing capsule lid and the inside surface of the stem's "glass screen" promotes any molten resin seepage between the two surfaces (miniscule but it adds up after a few sessions).

So, ideally, I'd like to be able to use a capsule along with a screen to reduce that sticky issue. It's easier to clean screens than to always have to swab the glass to keep the mess under control.

Might you try with no lid on the dosing cap?

Weep for me soldiers as today a comrade has fallen.

I'd just loaded up a bowl in the XXL dimples stem, got my coffee and was getting ready to do some programming it was serene and the autumn sun was shining through my windows as I hear my kid choking, me being a better dad than anything else jump up from my seat like a superhero ready for rescue. Stupidly I'd put the TM in my sweatpants pocket and not my hoodie pocket, so the device does some acrobatics, falls out of my pocket and straight down on the stem.

I step on some glass, save my kids life and feel gratified in knowing nothing bad happened. That's when I step into the crimescene, poor thing blew it's brains out, or so it seemed, absolute massacre, didn't know glass could so explosively launch itself, I spent some time cleaning up, and spent way to long considering just sifting through the bowl to get the glass out but decided against it as I like for my throat and lungs not to have holes in them.

Luckily the TM still seems to work fine, I'll do another bowl in a couple of hours and if I dont edit this to ask you to weep some more then it's probably all good. Sadly My favourite stem is no more and I'm in no means to spend money on another one, so It'll be the short stem for me until atleast christmas

Moral of the story, don't store things in sweatpants, those pockets are more of a suggestion

@vapviking That won't work because the "glass screen" isn't anything more than several thru-holes through a thick piece of glass wall. An unlidded capsule would cause matter to be distributed into the glass-bead chamber. There IS a screen up at the top after vapor passes through the beads near the mouthpiece... all of which I aim to keep as low maintenance as possible.

Now, if I had a screen for the capsule diameter, which is pretty small, that might do it! And here I am without a micrometer.

If it isn't too much trouble, might you post how the case looks loaded with kit (open)?

If its a hassle, no worries. Looks like a cool case.

Thankfully to @Vitolo, I was able to grab a Tinymight 2 :) I was using it with no pb at my sisters place for a week, took the plane, and just tried it now at home and I noticed a buzz sound coming from inside the body when I heat the TM, what I never noticed up to now. I am not talking about the vibration it does when it turns on or when heating, but more of an ‘electrical’ buzz. I have been searching on the thread but the word ‘buzz’ confuses it a little with the ‘vibration’ buzz. Is it normal or could this be an issue ?
I am really liking this device, even though I have more to learn about it, hoping my buzz won’t be a problem.
Thanks for your answers ;)

Yeah, ain't that the truth! One of the best things is its flexibility, how easily it can be customized. There are so many high quality accessories out there. I've got a bunch of different setups, depending on where I am and what I'm doing. If I'm going to be hanging out in my living room I really like the t.bowl and a dry water pipe. Previously I never understood the appeal of a dry bubbler but now I like how I can just leave it and it doesn't roll on its side and spill weed the way my j-hook does. (I did put together a "stand" for the j-hook but it's just more paraphernalia to make clutter or misplace!) If I'm visiting I usually use dosing capsules in the long glass stem. If I'm outdoors I have a metal mouthpiece for the titanium stem for a virtually unbreakable delivery tube. All kinds of options!

My only experience with a regulated vape was the mighty, but I can see that the TM has nothing to compare, total upgrade for me :)

From the little I read on this thread, it does seem so ! I will have to read and experiment more
