TinyMight / TM 2

Yes they are ,, just dont tighten tm2 one ar hard as you can its fine , by that i mean when my second tm2 arrrived it was so tight i couldnt remove it , doesnt need to be cranked right up and over tighten, just use common sence ,
but tm2 battery cap does fit tm1 and works ,,, got both 2 of each and tried them all ,,
looks good on tm1 ,
tinymight wouldnt sell me any as said doesnt fit , reason given was it was too long and would damage the contacts , i never noticed anything
but reason i said dont crank it up , my tm1 door sits a bit open so i can unscrew it with my fingers ,
i never tighten the 2s as hard as i can ,just tighen it same with it on the 1 ,no feeling better stop or of over tightening just works the same on both

anyway threads are the same and they work ,,, if tinymight admits this they lose a major reason for TM1 owners to upgrade or should say buy a TM2 ,G

In love with session mode & a dry bubbler for my 1-2-hitters right here. Who knew one less button press and not needing to hold the button while hitting would be so blissful? Fuck, I'd been using nothing but on-demand since day 1 it but switching to session mode has improved & smoothed out my ritual. It's the little things. So maybe, if like me you never even thought to give session mode a bash, think again.

Can atleast one more person confirm that a TM1 battery cover can fit and work correctly on a TM2? Trying to decide if I should send my TM1 for warranty work or use the trade in program. I like the look of the TM1 battery cover much more than the 2. Thanks alot.

Edit: Looking at photos, I think the TM1 cover has a bottom button and thus is not flat. If so, all below is negated.

There is a risk if the TM1 battery cover is used on the TM2.
The flat bottom TM1 cover will dangerously direct short the battery if the insulation wrap is compromised on the positive end of the battery.
Twisting the cover on/off could cause damage to the wrap.
In the TM1 design, the battery cover contacts the negative battery bottom and thus this direct short damage can not occur.

With the redesigned cap and button, the reversed battery in the TM2 is safe from this possible direct short.

It doesn't work with mines.
TM2 battery door can be used (very carefully, and TM guy advise against this) but not the other way around. The part that make contact with the battery just sit on the wrap around the positive end if you check it outside of the unit.
I tried inside the vape also and nothing happens

Thanks man, great answer. Not the one I as looking for and this is sure to make me pull out my hair even more now, lol. I've been sitting on this damn broken TM1 for a month now not knowing what to do. The trade in program is fantastic but I hate the stir tool and battery cover. Especially the cover. I like minimalism and nice clean lines. Probably gonna stare at TM2's for another month trying to convince myself! Thanks @Momor for your answer.

I sympathize and empathize with you. Sorry your TM isn’t working. My 3+ year old TM still works like a champ and I LOVE it. Trading it in is tempting however I only want a RED TM2 - should it ever be produced. If not, I’d buy a TM2 to supplement my TM. Like you I’m minimalistic, down to usage (I’m a big native user with all my vapes with the TM no exception; OK, I did buy and occasionally use 3rd party stems but always dry and rarely if ever any external cooling or filtration). I’m not crazy about the TM2 battery cover too but it would be a welcome enhancement even though it affects the aesthetics on the top plate. I’ve never had an issue with my battery cover but see how others have had issues with it. The stirring tool I’ll never use and one more thing to potentially get lost or broken. I still think the TM/2 are amazing and top shelf portable vapes. My TM has risen to favorite vape status a couple of years ago. It’s simply awesome. Good luck with your decision! :peace:

Could someone take the TM1 cover, grind off the inside raised ring and use that on a TM2? If @TeaCup wants to retain the minimalist look it's a step in the right direction. The stir tool would still be there.

I like that TM offers an upgrade path. I enjoy both devices but I really only use the TM2. I just like having the OG because, well, it's the OG.

Don't you worry @Vaporific, we'll get our purpleheart TM2's one day :D

It'll probably end up being me. I'll eventually crack. And I have a bad habit of wanting to change every last thing on a vape before I even try it, lol.......and that's definitely gonna come back and get me one of these times.

The stir tool would still be there
What stops the stir tool from going farther in? Is it the top portion sticking out, or does it hit a shelf down below? I doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things, I'm gonna sand off all the TM2's powder coating anyways and I have some stainless steel shim stock that I could affix over the hole in some form or fashion.

Yeah I wanted that one too when I first saw it but I don't think I can stall my return that long, lol.

Oh, and if someone hasn't checked the web site in a while like I hadn't, the walnut TM2 posing in all the photos is to friggin' die for!!!!! I want that one!!!!!! It looks like the Angus walnut, super swirled looking. Absolutely gorgeous.

Changed my mind, keeping my TM1 and just buying a TM2, might as well have a back up!!

Really excited to see the difference, I have to admit I haven't used my original TM for a while as been on the Volcano at home and not been out much but with summer around the corner, those warm evenings sitting outside vaping are coming!

I’m a little hazy on the TM2 battery orientation with some of the recent posts. Isn’t it reversed from the OG TM? If so, negative at the bottom and positive at the top touching the bottom of the battery cover? Is that correct?

Someone above mentioned filing down the underside of the (OG) TM battery cover but wouldn’t that interfere with the negative connection? I would not mess with any of the connections save for pulling up the bottom (positive) contact if it was pressed down too much causing the battery cover to screw in too much (and lessens the resistance to unscrew it - which is likely the reason the TM2 got a new style of battery cover). Just random, early thoughts for the day. :peace:

The battery sits deeper in the TM2 than in the TM1 so if you grind off that you'll potentially/probably end up with no contact between the battery and it's cover.
On the contrary, the solution would be to add/solder a little nub in the middle of the TM1 battery door.

Correct !

If you dont mind me asking, what is that beautiful pipe next to the TM2?
Hi friend, it’s a Puffco Proxy - a little concentrate e-rig unit housed in a custom pipe attachment….which is really just a regular wood pipe w/ an expanded hole to fit the Proxy’s 34.32mm diameter.

Really dig the nostalgic feel while tapping into 21st century tech!

Hi all,

Can anyone provide any tips or a video on how to install the top O-ring (above glass) in the TinyMight2, preferably without taking the device apart?

then you'll need to loosen the torx screw on the bottom,

here's a video for the tm1, I believe the tm2 is different in that the battery is inverted, positive side up & more complicated as far as the power button assembly

I have previously watched that video, but as you said, it's for the TinyMight 1. There are significant differences between the two devices, so unfortunately, it will not help someone who is disassembling and reassembling the TinyMight 2. A member posted somewhere in this thread (can't seem to find it now) that they managed to install the O-ring without taking the device apart, but I am not sure if it it was the TinyMight 1 or TinyMight 2.

Regardless if TM1 or TM2 you’ll need a small skinny finger and lots of patience to fit the slender oring on top of the glass cylinder. It is easier to take the top plate off (I have a TM1 and have done this a few times). It’s possible to do it without taking the top plate off but it is difficult, not impossible but very tricky if you’re not dexterous enough (and patient). Perhaps there’s a video but not sure where or who posted it. Good luck. :peace:
