Yeah I pissed on the rug...... so what
does he make you pay for shipping on repairs even if I didn’t get to use it yet?
Return dhl shipping labels are sent free of charge, simply log into your account and create a repair ticket via their website. Shipping labels are set in the mail so make sure you have the correct address information set for your default, just in case you have a po box but got dhl to deliver to your physical address like me. The labels contain multiple pages, one is the shipping label for the box and I believe the others are for the courier involving customs, but don't quote me on that. Sorry your unit arrived doa it's a major bummer

It still turns on and seems to be charging the battery.
But when I turn on demand mode on it flashes but never seems to vibrates to let me know I’m at temp.
And session mode stays on buzzing.

so I packed a bowl tried out both modes on 5-6 and there is no vape.

it’s buzzing and red lights on when I press the button for on demand and it’s does the same for session.

Probably worthwhile, when you ask for a return label, to see if he can just ship you out a replacement when he sees that you have dropped off the original to return at post office or whatever, whatever tracking shows that it's moving... Because it sounds like you just need a brand new proper unit, no reason for you to wait for him to inspect and repair, the clearly defective sounding one you got?

I’m literally going to do that if I get a response to the personal email. My unit literally came broken I would hope he could ship a new one when I send mine but I understand if that’s now how he does business.

Please let me know if you receive a response from TM regarding your return for repairs. I have sent 2 requests - one on 11/30/20 and the other on 12/11/20. No response. My TM has become a paperweight - and not a very good one. When they work they are great.
You set up a return on the website in addition to the emails you sent right? What about contacting them through IG? An all caps subject with your order number and TINYMIGHT MISSING or something like that should grab his attention and I'd send it on both platforms to it's harder to miss.

Want to thank @LabPong for providing accurate and helpful info re: cause and remedy for performance drops.

My TMs performance started tapering off about a month ago. I thought maybe it was a battery issue, but not the case.

As of this week I was getting no vapor at 7 (formerly my max) and light wisps at 10.5! I also notice that the time to vibration was the same no matter the setting, so it seemed like the sensor was reading an increased baseline resistance.

Well I’m glad I didnt mess with undocumented settings. My I fix it kit has a torx, so,

load after 3 longs draws at 10.5 is barely any darker than fresh ground.

Removed the top plate only. Cleaned up the underside with artist eraser. Roughed up the contact strip with some sandpaper, holding the unit upside down to avoid aluminum dust as much as possible.

folded up some tin foil to use as a shim. Perhaps .3mm final thickness.

total service time, maybe 15 minutes. Not bad for 9 months of light/moderate use. End result 1 draw at 6.5:

heat up times seem back to normal, and performance is better than ever.

Looking at your strip I would have guessed you had good contact because it looks a little dented or is that just the lighting? When you loosened the screw did it seem pretty tight? Glad to see it was a easy fix and that you're back up and running.

agreed it did seem to have good contact, and there was no play in the top plate. Center screw was pretty tight.

Despite all that, cleaning up the underside of the top plate and shimming the contact strip made all the difference. I was ready to do a full tear down if that wasn’t sufficient, but I guess I got lucky.

So I went back to not using any screens with my WPA 10/14/18.
The reason for doing so...reclaim.
With small particles getting into the stem, it is easier to reclaim and create a small ball. When using a screen, nothing falls inside, but reclaiming is harder since its very oily, and can't really become a ball, its not that I don't want to keep pure reclaim, its just an hassle for such small amount and I'm not really sure how to properly take it out without using ISO.
I like using the reclaim with the TM and I don't really care if there's tiny bit of unvaped grass in it...
Just need to figure out the stirring...

Aha! Thanks! I inquired previously in a rambling post about what to use under the strip and didn’t get a response. I’m going to try to do the same as you did over the holidays. I did have a bit more success last night with my Tinymight and tightened the stem ring a bit as perhaps I inadvertently loosened it and it worked a bit better and got some vapor on lower (and higher) temps. Thanks for the pics too! A more comprehensive cleaning is in order for my TM. :peace:

It was actually your question that led to thinking up the tinfoil fix!

A theory on one thing that might result in lost performance is over-tightening the battery cap. I’ve been guilty of that when trying to ensure good battery contact, but it may have inadvertently reduced the pressure between the top plate and contact strip. Just a thought.

That and keeping the battery cover clean - at least the circular contact ring on the underside of the cap. Threads can’t hurt either. That’s all due for cleaning on my unit SOON.

Months ago I lost the ‘spring’ in the contact at the bottom of the battery well so I do need to tighten the battery cover a bit more but it was working well this way all along. I don’t have something to pull it up a bit back to original position however when I do disassemble it I’ll look into that as well and will be easy to do disassembled. I use my thumb to tighten and loosen the battery cover and only turn it a quarter turn more when it buzzes to read the battery strength. I don’t feel or sense the battery loose in the compartment even with my minor bottom contact ‘issue’. The TM is still a phenomenal vape - love it nearly daily! :peace:

Ok been it’s been a blur for past two days:mmmm:.....man do I love this vape! I think having it for only two weeks and then to get back almost two months later, no I know , I appreciate it so much more! Will be gentle with button. I like this unit better, look wise.....not sure a difference in performance. Back to my morning wake and bake!

My theory is that *not* screwing down the lid fully (until it sits flush) can cause issues by making the cell rattle inside the unit – no need to tighten it with a coin, finger tight is enough and will enable you to open the lid without tools too. I also think it's important to be nice to the contacts by inserting the battery sideways and not let it fall down into the device.

My TM is about a year old and works like on day one, never had to disassemble it or rework contact strips. I also don't really clean the batteries, don't use any kind of contact grease or the like. Sometimes I'm scratching my head why that is. I just use it, sometimes clean it, that's it. Just saying. :-)

I returned my TM on 11/24 with return label. It took 3 requests via TM web site & few via emails asking for return label starting in Sept- but I finally got an email response with a mailing label in late Nov.

This was the 2nd TM i bought- (order 2527) & it had few issues when received (temp dial did not stop at 0 or 10 but kept turning, battery cap was rough & did not sit flush, & bottom screw was not tight so metal top & bottom were loose when received). I tightened bottom screw but TM never did heat correctly as it had issue with the temp button so i sent it back. I listed all the issues major issues & also the marks in the wood that i didn't like & light leaking out all around the bottom and asked to be sent a new unit rather than repairing mine.

Received DHL shipping notice 12/16 & box delivered today 12/21- Much to my surprise when i opened the box, it had 2 new complete TinyMights in the burlap bags each with battery, short stem, CU, charge cord, etc. Also in box were 2 big packages of various o rings and 2 WP adapters (a 10-18 & an 18). NICE !!

The new units have nice looking light wood grain- much nicer than what i returned & came with an LG dark brown battery (LG HG2)- not an VTC6 Sony as previously. I've not used the new TM's yet but they look great & the battery caps fit flush & are totally smooth when turning. I'll see how they work later tonight and expect they'll be great as my 1st TM (order 1027) that is still working fine.
So you returned only one unit and he sent you back 2? Sorry if I misunderstood.

Anyone here have complaints about the wood body fitment? There are some serious "gaps" on one side of the vape... also having issues with the button not registering clicks consistently and the temp dial is not centered at all. Other than these Sh!tty quality issues... vape works real good, chucks clouds for days! I would like to think that paying 500CAD for a vape, that the quality would be better if not perfect... but its not and very disappointing to see... what should i do?

That's odd but it might just be bad placement, you can take that bottom part off pretty easily and reset both the button thing and the dial. However the on button does have some "play" in it even when all put together.

Glad I could help even in a small way.

I’m guilty of that early on and have learned my lesson. I think that’s largely to blame in flattening the contact and eliminating the ‘spring’. I’ll try to correct that soon. :peace:

True, this new TM has bigger gaps in the wood. 😞
It seemed :hmm: to be the easiest thing to fix in this fantastic vape but ... it's what we have ...

I've used it once ... It's a TM ... the BEST VAPE I've ever tried!

This one will be kept in reserve until needed!
The finish of the wood is better, comes with the inner SS tube and a LG batt.
I also noticed that when you turn it on, the LED flashes once green.

I suppose it depends on how bad it actually is?

I have all of those things, but maybe not to the extent that you do without seeing pictures its hard to tell because obviously what I consider acceptable you may not and vice versa.

I do have gaps between body and caps, which leaks the red LED light, my dial isn't centered, and I've had trouble with the button recognizing my inputs the way I want it to occasionally. Found myself in session mode accidentally a time or two, didn't turn on/off when I wanted it to on the first try, etc. The dial was my biggest concern, I actually thought I torqued it out of alignment when I first noticed it, but after I realized it functions fine I didnt really give it another thought.

However I dont consider those to really be complaints or disappointing, I mean yeah it would be nice I suppose if everything was 100% perfect all of the time every time, but as far as I know these are mostly hand crafted (or at least assembled) and bound to have a few variances between individual units.

That said, I get that all of your issues may be a lot more pronounced then how mine is. if it truly bothers you, reach out to the guy. I think a lot of what you're saying has been noted in this thread quite a bit, between the body gaps and button being a little particular. Haven't seen too many comments on the dial though, but can confirm mine definitely sits tight to one side.

Several posters have recommended that I contact TM via Instagram. So, I opened an Instagram account. I have no idea as to how to send a message to TM. Can someone please direct me. I would love to get this unit repaired or exchanged.

Open the app, use search to find the tinymightvape account, this will bring to the homepage or whatever they call it. There you'll find a message button right above the image gallery.
