Was at the NORML Freedom Rally in Boston last weekend. finished about a whole gram in one day!! gave away so many hits since no one has ever seen this thing before. Surprisingly, no one broke it.... but many people were amazed at the technology ... a few friends and people i met there said they're ordering one. definitely a great investment.

Hey, as i've found out personally and read here numerous times, it's best to not fill the cart to full capacity (1g). It behaves much better at about 0.5 g

I'm sure others agree?

Spot on.

FWIW I think most problems in loading come from not preheating the tube correctly before letting the concentrate flow down. If the tube is cool, the 'just barely melted' concentrate sets up on the way down, leaving an air bubble below so the wicks run dry anyway.

The instructions on the D9 site are pretty good IMO, well worth trying.

Dammit Janet. Got a second 5 ohm puregold leaker. Whatta pain in the asscrack. No pre-ox, no bologne pulls, no way was it overheating or overfilling. Just drippy droopy goop sapping out the bottom, clogging up the main intake. Never know what to do. Reclaim at this point or just finish the cart out and put a new one on? Have absolutely no more carts left. All others were dismantled and reclaimed.

Really hope those 1701s drop soon. Dont want to buy new "old" carts that are soon to be out matched.

Sorry about the issue with the gold brotha. I think the HErcules is going to be the best unit for the gold. Leaks are guaranteed, no clogs, and can last a long long time, with an option to rebuild.

As for the 1701's we are putting 100pcs into production for 2.4 ohm testing. It pass the initial testing stage, now we need to see if we can replicate 99 cartridges with no leak.

We do have minor clogs but that was intentional as i was trying to make it leak.

More info to follow after my Vacation.

This is all great info. Clogs are managable, as nothing is lost. They only get tedious once the goo crusts on on truly clogs.

Best of luck with the 99 production test 1701s. The hercules would be nice, just wish it worked with gold at 3.7. Know many users say 7.4 is more versatile. Its just too powerful for a user with lung issues. But it would be the perfect solution.

I have found this suggestion works great to avoid clogs but does anybody else think the carts produce thicker, stronger vapor when they have almost 1.0 inside?

Is inhaling too fast the main reason for clogs?

Inhaling too fast or too slow can both be a problem. I solved this by cutting off the tip of one of the silicon mouthpieces that come with the carts and inserting the end of a 3 inch glass stem into the cut off mouthpiece. This way I can see the vapor in the stem as I am inhaling and can get just the correct rate. This was someone else's idea early on in this thread, but I don't remember exactly who.

I also find that inhaling slowly from the diaphragm seems to work better for me than "mouth puffing".

That was my issue, even with proper usage, and following directions, there are issues with the carts, now the hammer attachment is a wonderful idea, so it the bender and other stuff to come, but they were better off just not selling the device at all until they had the R&D completed.

but what's done is done, Gary is doing all he possibly can to bring a ready product to the marketplace, and i do give him some credit for not giving up, especially with all these problems going on with the device and people complaining, I would have probably just retracted completley, finished it as a solo/friend project, then once perfected, try and mass distribute. but thats just my opinion..

what did you say to people before hitting? (any training, advice, tips on how to hit it?)

or did you just hand it to 25-50-75 people? and just let them have at it.

if you did the latter without any clogs, any issues or anything, I'd be freaking impressed, but at the same time, extremely hesistant to believe it, because of my experience with it, but im open to hear what happened here

If you fall down do you get back up or lay on the ground? Just because YOU have issues doesn't mean everyone does. I'm pretty sure I have offered to meet up and see if I can get you sorted out. Every concentrate is different, imagine designing a engine to run off of thousands of different gasoline types....

Yes, carts will clog. Yes, carts will leak. Yes, parts will break. Can you provide info on a Vape that has never had any of these issues? G has been doing research since 2007 on these devices and hasn't stopped since. Plenty of people tested out the units before their release, don't make assumptions.

Enjoyment of your device is a phone call away, 9255751556.

Hi DubC...

You cancelled on our original meet up, one that i confirmed twice and had planned 3 days prior?

to make it worse, you wait until the time of our meet and i am at the location of our meet when we talk on the phone, you cancel without any notice or heads up. (i live 45 mins away)

you offered to meet up only after i gave up trying to troubleshoot (it was your last chance at saving face on these forums, but anyone can go back in our history and see what really happened)

I didnt make any assumptions, just that this device clearly, not from my own but many on here agree, this unit needs to go back for more testing and development (hence, reason why gary is working on the universe and leakproof systems)

also, talking condescending matter as if you guys are the inventors and creators of oil and concentrates and methods of consumption... it's a little bit funny actually. There are people out there that know much more than you, but they just aren't interested in profiting from it.

Have a great Day folks, this is why i left persei forum... I appreciate forums that are open and offering help, not ones that have an air of arrogance entitlement like its some kind of royal, lucky sperm club. please. get over yourselves.

I offer my free time for customer service, it is not part of my job. Im sorry my work got in the way of my free time that Friday. I am willing to plan for another Friday or you are more then welcome to drive to my house in Concord any other day of the week. I would agree with you 100% if I was paid to do customer service and drive all over Cali helping people through the learning curve and cancelled on you. That is not the case here. I have a pregnant wife and twin 8-year olds to deal with in my free time as well.

I am more than happy to do what it takes to meet up with you and assess the issues but you will have to work with me here.

Again, I am sorry I was not able to make it that particular day. Let's plan another one.

ok. i was not going to reply to this but you sent a copied message to my inbox titled "In case you missed this."

dude, grow up, if you have something to say, just say it.

that was pretty slick of you to pull the pregant wife with twins card.

and the fact that you are paid or not card.

but that has what to do with work?

no to mention manners, and if you were in my company id def remove my company from a rep that talks in this manner.

its about a man's word bro. bottom line.

i wish you the best for you and your family. but that's weak sauce using that in a completely unrelated case to garner sympathy.

at the end of the say, the part that is most sad, is that you actually feel that you are right. while your past customers are just that PAST for a reason, there is no need to talk negatively. People will eventually see the truth for what it is.

Boy I hope you and DubC can connect and have a look at what's going on. He's a good guy, and I'd really like to see you enjoying your purchase (as I'm sure you both would?). But pretty clearly you're having some serious problems.

I'm not sure I agree the design is 'half baked' or not generally successful. Yes, we hear a lot of folks having troubles, many come back and say 'all working well now, thanks'. Some are never heard from again (which can be good or bad, after many years in CS I discovered basically nobody ever calls back to say it's working fine now....). Unfortunately we loose some folks, I sure hope not back to combustion.

But look at the big picture. There are many hundreds (probably thousands) of happy customers using Omicron carts. Many thousands in service, lots of guys coming back for more. And more. Yes, they are picky about concentrates, loading, draw, heat and so on. It takes skill and attention to gain the experience to use them well. Many guys, IMO, get lost 'chasing clouds' rather than sticking with the program.

Anyway, I'm a fan within limits. It's a very useful product IMO, not perfect by a long shot, but IMO a useful tool in it's element. Right now I'm running half a dozen 2.4 Ohm carts with various 'ideal' concentrates (very thick at room temperature, high in THC, clean evaporating from foil, lighter in color). Loaded half a gram at a time and not chain hit too hard. All are working just fine on an assortment of supplies. It can happen.

OTOH, I have some thinner, darker oils that won't behave. And PG, much as I love it, seems to beat me every time leaking eventually. I keep trying, my current one is hanging on, but leaked a bit already and is laying on it's side with it's little head propped up even now. It's sitting waiting on an e-cig 'battery' (with thread adapter) so it gets a regulated 3.3 Volts (which seems to help). I may just take it out to the garden and make sure it's still my friend......

Sorry to ramble, but please consider giving it another go? I think you'll be happy once it's under control. Guys with a lot less going for them than you seem to have managed to sort it out......

In any event, best wishes.

Look Into My Eyes

Not trying to throw two small coins in the equation. Never said there was any dis-satisfaction with the unit. This unit kills many other units in the same field. The other units MAY work more consistently or to some users better than others but all in all it comes down to preference and what you truly gain and lose. Yes, leaks and clogs annoy the nuts off a frog. But, it is truly NO better anywhere else. Compare all like units and all D9 products still dominate. You cant start with a technology like e-carts and develop a steamboat out of them. It takes time. And they satisfy many customers, but may displease others in other aspects. This coming from someone who worked in a LHS for years. You see the displeasure rate of other devices. It is huge. And testing many handheld devices, this has alot to offer.

You just wont go from Windows 98 to Mac OSX Super lion tiger manbearpig in a single step. Lots of time and research. And you cant do any of it without first having something out. There was displeasure with the unit here at first, but you test and try and work at it and learn it. If you just throw your arms up, it accomplishes nothing. There will be no suggestions from here. You will act and react on this unit as you may. But you gotta roll with the punches.

Think, every time a new Call Of Duty game is released, it sells millions. BUT always in the first couple days or weeks the servers overload. Do people stop supporting them? No, they roll with how things are and will be and adapt. Many users on here have suffered leaks and clogs and other things, but they all solve it or toss it. And those who solve it tend to highly support the unit.

Do as thou shalt. But dont expect users to respond to anger. Your probably a nice person, just frustrated. But just try floatin easy and see how you feel. There are members here to help. Please dont quote Porquiplane though. Its kind of constrewed in a negative manner.

It would be much appreciated BSB. :D

Sympathy, it's the truth. My family comes first and then work, Your issue was neither. Do you think I drive/fly to Kentucky if someone has an issue? They contact customer service at www.delta9vapes.com and submit a ticket. They are then asked to send in the unit for inspection. If all is well you get your unit back. If something is wrong it is fixed or replaced. At this point it is mailed back.

I offer to help people on my own accord. Sometimes I will get a call from HQ to handle something and agree but they know that it's not my job to do so, I'm doing them a favor. Have you seen anywhere on here someone in another area driving to someone's house to help? People in LA are able to go direct to the wharehouse but other than that it's all by mail.

Yes, I flaked on you. I feel I have apologized plenty. My offer is still open to meet up at a more convenient time/place or you can deny my offer and be in the same position you are now. I want to help you but if you keep slapping away my open hand it won't be there for long.

DubCRider,
I know we've all been seeing all day the back and forth between bluesurfboy and DubC (among others). Hopefully we can drop this.
Unless I'm mistaken (quite possible) it seems that bluesurfboy sold his Persei to darkrom (mentioned in Universe post #848 and discussed in the classifieds) . And if history repeats, the unit may end up lost under water before anyone learns whether it works or not (let us all hope it works - some people seem to have more back luck than others).

Does anyone think that the 5% d-limonene in pure gold makes the seals leak in the omlcron carts? I used d-limonene to Clean a mouthpiece(black delrin from D9 site) 1 time with a silicone o-ring and it swelled the o-ring. I also mixed some d-limonene with wax 5% by weight to simulate Pure Gold, as it is not available in my area, and the cart filled with this mixture leaked within the first gram, which is not common for me anymore!
