The Mighty/Mighty+ by Storz & Bickel

Well I know a lot of people have been having some difficulties with S&B customer service, but I thought I'd share a positive experience I had with them just recently. I purchased my Mighty about a month ago but unfortunately the power adapter already failed. I emailed S&B informing them of the age of the unit and asking for a new charger for free. They obliged, and it arrived very promptly! I probably would have been a little more peeved about the adapter dying so quickly if my EVO hadn't arrived just as the charger breathed its last, but I thought S&B did a good job correcting their mistake and now my Mighty is happily charging :).

Here's hoping other people have equally positive experiences!

S&B have been nice enough to replace my wall adapter 3 times, free of charge

i think the reason my chargers were dying so quickly is that i would always plug in the mighty while it was still too hot to charge (error001) and would just let it sit on the charger until it cooled itself down enough to charge. really bad idea, now i let my vape in a cool spot for at least 10 minutes before plugging it into the wall.

delivery guy showed up this morning with a package! i improvised and made a muzzmod from a bowl which came with the bong. So happy about results - muzzmod definitely milks better than using anything else connected to cooling unit. Nice weekend to everybody!:science:

You've got my attention. Are you happy with your adapter (looking to safe/longterm?) on the Mighty? (I do know about the muzzmod (may do that!) and the Chinese thing from Vapefiend in UK (won't be going there...)

What bubbler is in your pic, or rather, do these adapters often come with bubblers/bongs? I'd like to pick up some glass for Mighty, but must be low budget, just bubbly, not huge or big bong-like**, and able to accept a whip for passing between 2 peeps, kinda hooka style. I'd actually rather the Mighty attach to glass with a tube arrangement as well. I do know there'd be some loss of vape, especially with that tube acting as a condenser, and some loss with whip, but I have done some experimenting and getting great hits with a Rube Goldberg arrangement as it is.

** note, I had a pulmonary specialist tell me he has personally seen patients who have "burst a lung" from use of bongs!!!! I told him I am not nearly that enthusiastic. A word to the wise...

Lots of folks like the D020d. can that one use a whip?. Can it accept tubing on inflow side?
And last, I've looked at MF Orbit, a little pricey, but someone said you can put a whip onto it (what brand was that whip again?).

I'm behind the curve about photos or videos, but my basic setup is built in less than 10 min., only with the following and no glue, adhesives or fasteners, all friction-fit:

A small (8oz. ?) glass honey jar and white screw-on plastic lid it came with.
Blue plastic tubing, sold as water supply line with home water filters (1/4' o.d.)
Of this, one 6" piece and two 3" pieces.
Clear tubing sold at hardware store for "water line" like in rv's and boats. (1/4" i.d./+/-3/16" o.d.)
Of this, one 10" piece and one 30" piece.

I used an electric drill to make two 1/4" holes in the plastic lid. The blue tubing is a perfect/snug fit, so I put in a 6" piece and a 3" piece, each protruding out the top about 1-1/2".

The clear tubing fits snug right over the blue tubing. 30" piece goes on the 3" blue. Other end of this whip gets the other 3" blue as a little mouthpiece. The 10" clear goes onto the 6" blue (which goes down into the water). Other end of 10" tube --and this is the coolest discovery -- FITS perfectly into the Mighty c/u, after the c/u mouthpiece is removed!! It goes snug right in the hole where the mouthpiece usually goes. After trying this fit with an o-ring, I realized it fit better without the o-ring.

Though some (into the jar lid) are slightly tenuous, all of these connections are airtight in use

In a couple of months trials, I see no hint of degradation from heat, no weird taste, I do know this won't last, so I'm looking for something I can maintain easier. Though at pennies/foot, this tubing stuff can just be tossed as often as one likes!)

I also use same setup with Pax2, though I've made a mod of its' (tall) mouthpiece to accept a short length of the little blue tube. Simple. Hint, used the same 1/4" drill, just a little tricky angle through one of the existing holes in the mouthpiece, without interfering with the switch extension inside the mouthpiece.. The second hole in that mouthpiece gets covered with a finger, which finger doubles as activating the lip-sensing booster...and a partial carborater(sp?) release!

Necessity is the Mother of Invention. :hmm:

I hope someone can give some guidance to a relatively uninitiated bubble man. And I hope at a minimum this is entertaining about my home science project. :science:

After looking at my Mighty it seems the CU only stops because of 2 tabs that line up with tabs on the main body.

For the adapter to not over-tighten you'd have to hit these tabs somehow. I can see why there isn't a great solution, I might order an adapter from Vapefiend and just be mindful :freak:

Happy Monday!

Well, it took about 20 different iterations, but I'm happy to announce that I've finished my
Mighty Mini Stand

Finally, a safe way to hold your vaporizer upright while loading!

I know someone will want a bigger version with slots to hold other accessories, but I'm not quite sure what to make. If you would like to help me sketch some ideas for a larger stand, please feel free to PM me!

Additionally I'm still working on the Mighty CU-Mod SonG, it's coming along nicely. Unfortunately printing Silicone molds is a bit of a PITA currently, but I'm working as fast as I can on the Mighty accessories.

If anyone has any other requests for Mighty accessories, please PM me soon, I'm planning to return the Mighty to it's owner sometime in October and I'd like to finalize any designs before then.

A black plastic Mighty Mini Stand arrived today from Delta 3D Studios and I give it four and a half stars out of five!
This stand holds the Mighty vertically with very little chance of it tipping over, is small, and is well worth the price.

Two minor failings that I see:
1. Occasionally the stand sticks to the Mighty when I lift it for a draw. I can keep this from happening if I am careful to center the Mighty on the stand .... 'cuz if it's a little off alignment they catch and stick. If I'm stoned I shouldn't have to be careful. Maybe I can fix this with a little sanding.
2. It's very difficult for my 80 y.o. eyes to tell the front from the back of this black stand. Fixed this with a small red paint dot on the back of the stand.

Buy it, you'll like it!

Hey! I asked reddit this question before and they deferred me to here, since they figured that you might be able to help me better. I'm trying to upgrade from my crafty to a mighty, but when I emailed S&B they said that they don't offer the service, and instead referred me to their battery pack that they sell (which I already own). Has anyone recently had success with S&B on this issue? I'm going to try emailing them again in a few days from a different account, but I'm wondering what you put in your email that elicited a positive response instead of a "no".
Cheers!

only when you have had your crafty fail on you numerous times is when i believe they decide to "upgrade" to a mighty. The only reason they upgrade it anyways is to prevent further shipping and repair costs which are heavily needed for some certain crafty's.

Pretty sure at least a couple people have been given the option who only had one fail.

I'd definitely just try from a different email address with a different (better?) story if an upgrade is really what you want. Maybe read through this thread and see who was offered an upgrade then PM asking what they said?

Crafty vs Mighty
Has anybody here made a direct comparison between the Crafty and the Mighty vapes' draw and cloud quality? Please compare and rate the vapor quality of these two devices.

Forget the size factor. Forget temp control differences. Forget any reliability issues. Forget price differences. Just rate the vapor and hitting quality.

Thanks for your input.

Haha just a joke. Anyhow they have the same vapor quality/cloud production and hit the same but the mighty battery lasts longer because it has two. If you want to Vape for a while, Mighty would be better. Both good, but one lasts longer n battery dept.

...hello everyone.
I was hoping for some advice or input on an issue I'm having w/ a loose bowl housing.
The bowl assembly has some wiggle..only when its thoroughly heated,..telling me the molding expands somewhat..as the case itself creaks and whatnot as well..when its heated.
I contacted s&b who said its nothing..(?)..but if I was concerned..to send it to they're addy.
This pissed me off a little..I replied asking if they expected me to stick my $400 vaporizer in a box,..then ship it to them in cali...no suite #,..no "attention to"..no explanation why its there,..that kinda vague shit...
..I informed them I'd be better off taking my chanches than to basically put a message in a bottle.
They replied again w/ an r.m.a.,..all kinds of info on who and where to send it,..and also said "no charge" .
I haven't sent it in..this was 2 weeks ago....
I got my mighty this way...I'm guessing previously aggressive filling tool practices and constant on and off of the cooling unit,..both causing a push and pull on the housing,..is the reason...bit then again I'm a cook..not an engineer.
I was wondering if swithing to a crafty cooling unit would put less pressure on the housing...I guess its worth a try...
The wiggle is nothing nuts,..its just there..and concerns me for the future...all other aspects..besides the horrendous back plate scraped to hell..are great..especially the battery heat up time..very strong batteries.

They said its nothing.
..but if I,..not them,..was concerned..I can send it to they're Oakland office.

They're next reply..after they got bitched at for not giving a shit about they're product gave names,..r.m.a.'s,..apologies..etc.

Im not "afraid" of sending a vaporizer to a manufacturer that shows an interest...but I'm sure as shit not going w/ out because they're too sick of dealing w/ they're faulty shit...if that helps

i apologize for making the same type of post over and over but i love the thrill of living frugally!

are there any sources for the Fine Screens by themselves besides the S&B site? I didn't see any on PIU (they only had coarse+fine packaged together) so i was wondering if there was a secret FC approved site for the screens!

Swapping the C/u for another would not likely make a difference.

I've had 4 Crafty and/or Mighty's. Each of them developed a "loose-ness" that was audible, right at the bowl (or maybe where the heater tube joins the bowl). Could not see or really feel it move, but an occasional small sound indicating something very slightly loose, not just the sound of housing expanding/contracting, which also happens. Maybe yours is worse than this, I think if you have a problem, it would be more obvious that it needs fixing, if that makes sense.

Always assumed it was normal, given that the things goes through such temp swings, etc. and it never got any worse. So, imo, S&B may have given you a good answer the first time. Their published policy for warranty returns is to send it to their address with a note enclosed describing the problem. I've sent 3 in this way, for other reasons, without talking or emailing anyone, without a contact name or repair number.

Sounds like you had that option. On your second communication, they attempted to please you. Not all that bad, considering the problem is kinda nebulous and it seems they've seen this before and their best guess based on your report is that there is no problem.

If they sent you a shipping label, watch out it may have expired by now, you may have to ask for another. Personally, I'd just use the thing to chill for a bit!

I'm curious to know how many people have had to send their Mighty back for a battery replacement? I mean as in you've worn out your batteries and have had to pay S&B to replace them.

hi fellow mighty owners! i have had mine for about 9 months i think now... maybe closer to a year... who knows!!!! i had the older version with the 1 minute shut off. it had an error 04 at some point so i sent it back on warranty. my current one is the version with the 2 minute shut off.

does anyone with a 2 minute mighty think their mighty doesnt hold as much battery power? i feel like it takes less sessions before the battery is dead. i dont think its due to the 2 minute shutoff since by habit i keep tapping the power button to keep it on, habits from the 1 minute time off mighty have not died yet! and i shut it off when i am done, i almost never forget about it for the auto off, so i doubt its that even though S&B service said it's most likely that.

should i send it back in again?

i dont know about you guys but i kind of liked the 1 minute shut off more!

Yes I noticed that with my replacement, other users have reported the same. Mine does go off a lot though as I get high like a motherfucker and sit there like an idiot staring in to space with this thing constantly buzzing in my hand.
