It's an obsession but it's pleasin'
Doesn't bother me either. Good way to look at it. Buying extras to mark up and sell is kinda weak tho, given the circumstance.

Yes, that's the crux of the biscuit!
Opportunity to buy extras = nice thank you to early adopters.
Buying those extras to flip for obscene profit = shitty betrayal of that kindness.

<Edited to remove obviated conjecture.>

Thanx.

Truly, I just want my sole SS unit to be problem free...I want to believe

You ordered right around the time I did. It's hard to believe that my little investment is almost a year old. Maybe it's because I look at him every day but I never noticed how he's grown. I ordered a SS to accompany my TI, just to fuck with @Vaperist and because by now he oughta be twins!

Shit...back to back posts. Sorry!

This grasshopper seems really slick. The first one I've ever thought could give my mflb a run for its money, because of how simple and stealthy it is. The only thing about it that I'm not sure of is the chamber size. It looks a little small, great for one hitter type sessions but not really convenient for on the go without constantly having to refill.

I don't need a new portable vape but I can almost definitely see myself getting one in the future, dammit!

You can definitely have an effect on how long your Bowl last by the quantity you put in, but also by the temperature you choose or how you hit it. It is pretty good at finishing a bowl quick. I could finish a bowl in 4 hits if I wanted to. Normally I don't because I don't want to feel too medicated so I change the length of my draw. It's definitely convenient for on the go. I don't have another vaporizer that can get me medicated in less than 30 seconds. If you want to have a long session with portability then the Pax2 is a good option.

@InspireAndAdmire The taste is pure. The way I have it explained it is that the taste is what your weed smells like. It's the best tasting vaporizer I've ever used I have a Solo, Mighty, and a Pax2.

I don't necessarily want long sessions. But with the mflb I can easily get 18-20 hits from a trench. So depending on how medicated I want to get, usually around 4 hits per session, one trench will last me a good part of the day.

That being said, after watching some videos of the grasshopper, the chamber looks a bit bigger than I first suspected.

I still think this will be in my future either way.

UK Question please; has anybody received their Grasshopper based in UK? Did you have to pay Customs charges? Have a pre-order that worked out at about £170 with extra batteries and silicone tips. My pre-order number is 23xxx, so unlikely to see for six months or so.

I can try to order from Vapefiend for £249 in the next few days. Much more expensive but no customs charges and a retailer in the UK to deal with any warranty issues. Mmmm decisions, decisions, decisions....
I had to pay £31 total to prise it from their greasy mitts!

i remember some guy saying that it is super convenient to use PinaclePRO bullets for filling up that Hopper chamber on a go. so every session you get a fresh hit, not sucking on a used MFLB load half a day long.

I'm all about flavor. Hows the taste on this? I always get medicated so that's my biggest concern lol

Me too, I care about flavor above all and for that reason the a Grasshopper is my go-to vape. Best and most consistent flavor of all my vapes.

That said, because I was so focused on flavor and it's so good, it's really a credit to the device that after living with it for awhile other surprising features also stood out, like the efficiency, something I never thought I'd care about is very impressive with this vape.

If you're a flavor chaser I don't think you can do better than the Grasshopper, maybe firefly 2 might compete but I never use my firefly 1 which was my go-to for flavor pre-grasshopper.

I bought the company and am planning on sitting on all the inventory for a while and then raising prices by %200.

ha ha. very funny.

but not for those who still wait for their Hoppers, while noobs add more units to their order for eBay selling.

Hey everybody,

I haven't heard that much about Ratchett's case on here and I was thinking about ordering one. Anybody have one and want to tell me how great it is? Also, has anyone bought his funnel that he made for the hopper? Here is the link for the case, it looks like it is pretty high quality.

It is pretty great. Even though I don't have my hopper yet. It is so supple, and the stitching is very neat. Seems like it will last a long time.

I don't have one yet but based on people's comments about the quality of his work I plan on ordering a leather case, a loading funnel, and a loading stand once I know my hopper is on the way. (Yeah, I have some fine motor control issues and I need all the help I can get.)

I mostly would have to agree when talking about portables, but... do you own or have at least tried out a Mighty? It kills all portables as far as I'm concerned. I'd pit that thing up against most desktops. Then again the Mighty is literally like thirty times the size of the Hopper.

Two words... Get it!

I did, and happily canceled my gh stainless steel case order. And I'm glad I did. Still waiting on my gh, but I know it will have a happy home.

It doesn't kill the GH in taste, only in smoother vapor because of the CU imo. The GH can produce some huge clouds too.

What devices do you have? And if you vape at higher temperatures does the flavor still exist?

I just got my Ti Grasshopper yesterday and so far it has been quite an interesting experience comparing it to the SS version.

The first thing I noticed on my Ti is that it runs noticeably hotter than the SS one I have. If you read my previous experiences with the Hopper, it took me a couple days to learn the technique that worked for me to get big clouds. But when I took the first hit off a fresh bowl in the Ti, I damn near choked on the tremendous amount of vapor I got.

My roommate experienced the exact same thing. He was having a hard time getting consistent hits off the SS version (although I could with no problem), but he's able to get consistently large hits with the Ti.

The difference was so obvious that I started to think something was wrong with the Ti (running too hot maybe?) so I played around with it at different temperatures to see if there was an issue. The Ti seemed to be producing clouds at setting 1 (although lighter ones), which surprised me, and I started to think it might be broken.

Then I packed two equally sized bowls - one in the SS and one in the Ti - and finished both bowls on setting 1. The entire time, the Ti felt harsher than the SS with hotter vapor, but when I emptied the bowls out, they were both a similar light brownish color.

So after several bowls of testing - and getting much more stoned than I normally would while trying to compare the two units - I've come to the conclusion that both are working properly, but that the Ti just runs hotter than the SS.

I'm not sure if this is a supposed performance benefit of the Ti, as @BuzzDanklin alluded to something similar in a previous FC post where he said:

I am not sure if it is from the Insulation change from my last unit, or the SS to Ti change, but the new unit *seems* to have a bit hotter vapor, which seems to translate to slightly denser clouds, and slightly quicker extraction.

It's also a possibility that some units just run hotter than others, no matter whether they're SS or Ti.

Other impressions about Ti vs SS so far:

APPEARANCE - Surprisingly, I think I like the SS version better. Because the pen clip is also SS, the unit has more uniformity to it and therefore a cleaner, more simple look. This is a matter of preference of course but I'm not looking forward to saying goodbye to my SS hopper.

WEIGHT - Tremendous difference here. The Ti feels substantially lighter. Again, this is a matter of preference, and I think I may prefer the slightly greater heft of the SS version.

FIT / FINISH - The SS version has smoother threading, whereas the Ti version feels coarse in comparison. A bit more pressure is needed to tighten the mouthpiece, screw in the back-end, change the temperature setting, etc. I don't mind it, just a noticeable difference.

PERFORMANCE - Other than the temperature differences I spoke about above, performance seems to be similar. Bowls are browned evenly and thoroughly, and both versions heat up in the same amount of time.

All in all, if I had to choose between the 2 at this point, I'd probably go for the SS. I'll be keeping the Ti version though and selling the SS because I have the lifetime warranty with the Ti version, whereas I purchased the SS one secondhand on eBay.

Let me know if you have any questions about the difference between the two and I'll be happy to answer. I only have the SS version until tomorrow when it gets sent off to the highest bidder.

can you take a side by side picture ? (if the ti is not colored) Im not sure wether the stainles steel is more glossy or the ti.
