there are loads of continuing warranty issues with those vapes
Haha, but they charge a huge premium for their vapes, so when you pay $450 you are probably covering them for 5 or 6 replacements at cost!

I'm with you, but also hoping that this is just more of the same while they get the new manufacturing thingamajiggie up to speed, which I'm guessing might be a bit complicated. But I can't even remember what that that thingamajiggie is, just that it's not the bigazz battery charger it's the other one.I am starting to get a bit of a sinking feeling. If GHL is still sending out broken units then either they don't know how to fix them or they are being kinda crappy knowing these units will be returned. Either way I don't see how this bodes well for their business long-term. I guess a third possibility is the quality of the parts is low and they just have a high failure rate. Again I can't seem to figure out a positive way to spin this.
yeah, i know things are hectic and everything over there but they are just not being careful/thorough it seemsDid you see the pix on reddit today?
Person had a problem with the backend of a Bronze Ti, and was sent an entire plain Ti minus the mouthpiece as a replacement.
design and create revolutionary product... cant even send proper replacement color... if I wasnt at work and lazy id make a "you had one job" or something meme lolPutting the correct thing in a box should be the EASY part after all the other things they've done!
So now he/she has a plain ti unit with a bronze mouthpiece, how unique!Did you see the pix on reddit today?

That's what I was hoping for, but unfortunately there is nothing about a battery charger or a heater tester that screams either increased efficiency of assembly, or reduced mechanical/electrical failures. This is from the last update:
"This last week two custom machines came online. The first was a large scale battery charger that will accommodate shipping of over 100 units per day. We think it’s important that that battery in the Hopper arrives charged so you can use it right away. The second machine tests the heater functionality of every unit before leaving the facility. This will help speed up the quality control process while also providing a consistent testing environment."
Sounds like they should see more failures before we do after the change?
27 in the rear end alone.
Why is it not perfect?I know it's easy to get frustrated with the bumpy road we've been traveling with the GH so far, but I'd advise folks not to get too discouraged. I've experienced that sinking feeling myself, but I've got a working GH now, and it's my daily driver. It's not perfect, but it's an awesome device for $99 it cost me, and I'm very happy.

Awesome looking vape, thanks and enjoy your new toy. Just a word of caution, I'm not sure that you'd want to put anything on those threads due to them conducting the flow of the power for the heater. It maybe fine for the front cap threads, but the rear ones are on the back end which is already causing problems. From what I've read just keeping them clean is the best bet.
Well...here is the first green Ti in the wild I've seen posted. All looks really nice. The threads on the front and rear piece are very fine. I have other instruments with the same and would suggest covering with a really light layer of vaseline. Makes cleaning much easier. Not gooped on, but just a layer and then wiped off with a cloth.

I am hoping that the Grasshopper doesn't go too much farther than $200 because that would price many folks out of the market. The $200 price tag seems to be about mid range for a vaporizer.
I think it's was wise for them to purchase the large quantity battery charger so they know these things are work before they leave GHL. It's more important that these units work properly than being in too much of a hurry to produce mass vaporizers. The most important thing they need to concentrate on is quality control. They will achieve mass production eventually. If I bought one I want it to work, especially if I have waited 2 years.
PreachDon't worry! They'll work out the bugs!!! This is still a very new company and product. Stortz & Bickel has been around for years and the Mighty/Crafty have been out for a while, and there are loads of continuing warranty issues with those vapes. And that's supposed to be the best...

I'm also curious as to what you think needs improved. and you paid $99 but now they are $150-200, would you have been happy paying $150-200 for your GH?
