I don’t post my good news lightly in the face of brethren with DOA units or still waiting for their first to arrive. It’s difficult to have a broken unit or wait years for a promised product, and I think most here have been justified in a certain amount of animosity regarding time estimates.
Just want to contribute a bit from the bright side.

My replacement is still going strong after three weeks.
That on top of reading this thread, causes me to consider, the working units that some of us have gotten, are excellent vaporizers on many levels. This company really has done what many others have tried and failed to do. It makes sense that they are in this for the long haul and that means getting it right and satisfying the (small, but growing) customer base of vaporists.
IMO, that paints an optimistic future.

An observation:
The heat adjustment dial at the top, can unknowingly be moved to “High” when replacing the battery cover after changing the battery due to the screwing and dialing actions being similar and on surfaces flush against one another. It’s not that the dial is loose, in fact, it's strong, smooth, and tight. Well made.
Just be sure to double check your setting after battery replacement and before vaping.

A suggestion for a future tweak(once all is up and running for all):
A magnetic pick under the clip, to clear the chamber.
If it were removable, the clip itself, or part of the clip, would be even slicker.

Fingers and chest hairs crossed for lots of healthy hopper deliveries in the very near future.

Hi Everyone,

The team here is working hard on shipping and further improving the assembly process. We are continuing to ramp up production with the addition of employees and machinery. Grasshoppers are coming off the line faster and we are satisfied with how the process is smoothing out. We’re moving further down the backer list and sending batches of shipping address confirmations daily.

The number of reported problems with Grasshoppers has significantly dropped since the August 15th update. Over 30 days, we have reduced this rate from 9% to 5%. This is significant. We shipped more units than ever last month and had less problems.

This is still not good enough and we’ve implemented a few additional changes to further prevent issues. When users first encountered the slow Red/Blue lights, we quickly moved that sensor mounting process in house. At that time this issue accounted for 80% of user problems. Once in house it accounted for just 10% of reported problems. Over the last 30 days we’ve redoubled our efforts on this and our new solution has a perfect track record in testing so far. Additionally, we’ve made a few tweaks to the Back End to prevent any dial trouble.

The cases and other accessories are very important to us and we are working to get them done. We are taking the same rigorous approach to their design and know that it will pay off.

With that in mind, our priority is still to get more Grasshoppers out the door and fix any issues our users encounter.

A few changes to the website include the addition of the user's manual, and the option to purchase an additional charger separately. A warranty service request form will be added shortly which will streamline the service process and allow replacements to go out even faster. For backers who have already received their units, Extra Batteries and Session Extenders will ship within a few days if ordered from the store.

We will update you on October 1st with all the progress.

The Grasshopper Team

Some people were talking about translating the user manual to different languages for import clearance requirements or somesuch.

Anyhoo! I have uploaded a couple of blanked pages of the user manual in jpeg for people to over-type using paintNet or photoshop or even MS Paint.

I really appreciate the effort and time you put into this, but I think you uploaded the wrong images. Because what you uploaded is a blank manual for ants. There is no way anyone can put readable text into this and print it in a decent quality.

I've found I don't need to stir the load at all, so having a removable clip for stirring that isn't needed seems strange.
@Deadshort480 is correct in that the GH doesn't need to be stirred , but I referred to clearing the chamber, not stirring.
Depending on your material, the spent load can get a bit nested in the chamber. A light poke and it's released.
