Have you seen Buzz Danklin's video? I'm pretty sure it's still on his site. He and his roommate hit it hard! Admittedly, they were using a preproduction gh, but still...Care to share? I've only seen people either hitting it once and putting it down or using it through glass. Would love to see some people ripping it over and over without issue.
I agree with everything you said, but I think that if it is a one hitter type of device grasshopper should make that EXTREMELY clear on their website.
Why would anybody want this to be a group party vape, when those holes are filled quite nicely. This is just one tool in your toolbox.
For example, I just set my GH to temp 5, took 3 big rips, waits a little because ya know, sure the mouthpiece was hot (not unbearable, no I didn't burn myself, but I noticed and this level of comfort is going to be individual for ME it was FINE) but more importantly the 3 BIG RIPS I just took! I was ready to chill for a minute.
I have been using the Flashvape for the last month and I have a feeling the heat generated at the end of a bowl with it will be on par with the grasshopper's heat as they draw about the same amount of amps.
and with adapters/water pieces the gh very well may compete against a desktop, just maybe not as straight forward and unit to unit as everyone thinks of it.
Have you never watched Buzz's video?I don't understand why people are defending GHL not being up front about what the device is mainly going to be used for and making excuses.
Why would it be so hard for them to let people know that it gets too hot to use for more than a hit or two?
Why do you guys think people should just automatically KNOW that information when going to buy this vaporizer when it is being advertised as the next big thing?
From a lot of these posts I get the vibe that "you should've known when you bought it" when in reality GHL should be the ones responsible for letting buyers know how their device is supposed to be used. Or at least how it's best suited to be used.
Did you see the post right above my last one? He said his friends will say "dude I just burned my lips" after hitting it. And if I'm not mistaken the unit in Buzz's video isn't a production unit.Have you never watched Buzz's video?
It sure looks to me like you can take much more than a hit or two before it gets too hot to hold! Has anyone considered that the post from reddit you are talking about could be a defective unit? Perhaps it has the hot collar issue and that's why it is getting to hot to hold in less than one bowl??
Judging by all the videos I have seen of the GH in use over the past months, I would be willing to bet the unit you are talking about is defective.
The mouthpiece getting hot is not the same thing as the whole unit getting too hot to hold in less than one bowl, this discussion started over the comment that the unit gets too hot to hold in less than one bowl. I do believe Buzz's video alone proves that this shouldn't be an issue.Did you see the post right above my last one? He said his friends will say "dude I just burned my lips" after hitting it. I'm just as concerned with mouthpiece heat as overall heat. More so in fact. The mouthpiece getting hot is not the same thing as the whole unit getting too hot to hold in less than one bowl, this discussion started over the comment that the unit gets too hot to hold in less than one bowl. If the one being discussed on reddit is getting too hot to hold that fast, it's defective.
Mouthpiece getting hot? That's what the cover is included for(no burnt lips).
It is supposed to be a portable/stealth vape and it does exactly that. to be somewhere with a solid session isnt very stealthy. When I think of portable, stealthy, and fast heat up my first thought is a few quick hits. We can not really classify this vape in ways which it has been by the community and waiters as a whole. While yes it would be nice to know up front that the unit can get hot they are also a business trying to get their product out and realistically putting somewhere that the unit may get too hot to use in a session scenario isnt going to be the best move to get more sales... and while they are trying to please the community and that they still need to sell and survive.I don't understand why people are defending GHL not being up front about what the device is mainly going to be used for and making excuses.

Absolutely ridiculous that someone should have to scour forums and subreddits to find out real information about the device they're looking to purchase. The fanboyism in this thread is strong. It is supposed to be a portable/stealth vape and it does exactly that. to be somewhere with a solid session isnt very stealthy. also yes its not a production unit but I cant imagine the difference in getting hot being that big... possible but we wont know until he gets his production to compare...
either way us on here have the information and it isnt too hard to find GH threads on FC or Reddit through google so if someone were to just blindly buy the vape without actually looking into it then they are taking a risk, and that is with any product really

You dont have to... and at least 90% of products (prob higher for electronics) has plenty of flaws or issues that consistently occur but are not found unless looking into reviews and comments on that product... while I agree you should not have to do such a thing to find out everything you may want to know about a product it is how things are.Absolutely ridiculous that someone should have to scour forums and subreddits to find out real information about the device they're looking to purchase. The fact that you think it's okay that a vaporizer can only comfortably be used for a couple hits without the manufacturer explicitly stating that's the case in my opinion makes one a fanboy. You dont have to... and at least 90% of products (prob higher for electronics) has plenty of flaws or issues that consistently occur but are not found unless looking into reviews and comments on that product... while I agree you should not have to do such a thing to find out everything you may want to know about a product it is how things are.
and just because I am realistic about how things tend to be doesnt mean Im "fanboying"
