Hey guys, how long did it take for you to get a shipping notification once your rma'ed GH had entered the final testing stage?

I've received the email telling me I had 3 days to confirm my address and add accessories about a week ago and since then nothing. They also mentioned I just had to ask if I had questions, which I did but as I said they remained silent. I might be badmouthing but something tells me I'd have had news from them if I had ordered something...
My experience went well. Was told if I bought a new body they would ship it out the next week .. this was on a Thursday.. the following Friday they said that day and sat morning I got a email for shipping.

Working well. I haven't messed with the temp and on 4.5 nice brown avb

Love it !!!

Hopper is my at home goto. 30-40 second draws with TiChillum. Never more than two draws. Yay for titanium -- no heavy, breaky, nasty glass

Forum rules allow me one post to be critical of a company. Here's mine: My SS is a bit cool so I bought a spare SS body July 15. Order still says "processed," meaning they have my money and I have squat

Thursdays are now officially my "Blu Tack the Hoppers" day. :)

I have four working Hoppers. None of them have ever required an RMA. All of them work to my satisfaction. All of them seem to work a little better after the Blu Tack cleaning (faster heat up times, better vapor production).

A good, working Hopper can produce clouds regardless of draw speed or grind size, however I seem to get better extraction (darker ABV) with a finer grind and a slower draw.

I usually grind at least an eighth at a time and dump it in a plastic container. When filling the Hopper, the larger bits of herb seem to come out of the container first. That's when I notice lighter ABV. As I work my way through the container, the bits of herb get finer. I notice darker ABV with the finer bits. I've also slowed my draw speed recently, which has resulted in darker ABV.

The main drawback of the finer grind is that the material tends to get sucked into the screen of the front end more, which results in a more restricted draw.

4 working Hoppers without any RMAs? Is there a name for that? Glad it's all working out for you. I want to try Blu Tack - AFTER my pre-order Ti comes back from its first RMA. I miss it I do. I concur about the grind fineness - the finer the more it clogs the screen. I use a wide interdental brush to clean the frontend and chamber after a couple of fills - no issues. I've never cleaned the backend threads but I don't think that was the cause of my RMA situation. TBD.

Well, a new body could fix things however why do so many need to be fixed, like mine? It takes no time, well a week or two in HL-ese, to send a new part out - at your cost. I'll stick with the lifetime warranty on my lone unit and avoid giving them more money - except for batteries, but only if the thing works.

PURGATORY is a word I use for where my Ti is now and evocative of HL's customer service. :peace:

I think a lot of other folks have received spare body orders in far less time than this, even some on their 2nd or 3rd return already! Is there something special about your order that can account for this delay? Have you tried the squeaky wheel approach?

Unrelated note;
Lately, for the very least obtrusive (yet still very effective) shielding of heat from mouth piece;
I got tired of the silicone condom. They get dirty, they get loose and fall off, they add some bulk, they cost $, etc.
I use the PFE and shove* a piece of silicone tubing over it, as if to add a whip. (Med. grade, high temp. I use 5/16" i.d. but it's a very tight fit, so I think 3/8" would be better). Then I cut off all that is projecting beyond the front of the mouth piece. This leaves a short sleeve on the m.p., extending about 1/4" to 3/8" down. Protects the lips quite effectively, especially on multiple quick hits. Doesn't budge. It doesn't seem to be getting very dirty or to be yellowing, in part because it's not in the vapor path.
*Actually, the 5/16" is quite tight, so I first rolled it inside out a short bit, then unrolled it onto the PFE.

Any news regarding RMAs my hopper is since may at hopperlabs did not hear anything from them until now. Did someone received his may RMA... should I write hopperlabs...

BTW my new spare body gh (not V5) combusted, otherwise its working and extracting very good. It combusted on level5 I did draw very slow (I think that is why it combusted). Do not want to send it in because of witing time and fear of receiving hopper which underperforms...

HL continues to be the biggest disappointment I've ever given money to. "Parts" arrived today and it's a body. Nothing else. I tell them the only thing that fixes my unit is twisting the back end back and forth and they send me a body. :whoa:

Also just got a new body. I asked what about the back end. No response. They sent me body. Had specks of black dirt on chamber where you screw the PFE.

At 3.5. Unit running hot. Very dark abv. No combustion. Didn’t change back end. Didn’t clean anything. Etc.

Let’s see how long this lasts.

Edit: under 3 at dial. Very black abv. Tastes like crap. This body won’t turn on unless PFE is on. I didn’t try with regular mouthpiece. But without PFE, won’t turn on. Other two bodies did.

First battery I was using would turn on and off and got super super hot. I think it’s still fucked.

I just got my TI GH back after it's 3rd RMA (last on was burning back end). It's still not working properly. It's all over the place in regards to producing vapor. I used to just keep it at 3 and it would overwhelm me with massive vapor.

Now sometimes it makes a bit of vapor or none at all, a few draw later it will make an OK cloud. I turned it up to 4 and it helped a bit. They said they put a new chamber in it, I assume that is the V5 body but not sure. I really can't understand how they can keep sending back units that don't work properly. Maybe there's a critical design issue that just can't be fixed and they just keep trying to fix it with no success.

I've basically given up on it unfortunately, maybe I will send it back again.

Yeah as of 1 hour after I got it, mine already dead and not turning on. Not sure why they like playing this replacement part game instead of a whole working unit. Especially when I mentioned concerns about my backend.

Sorry you're still having trouble! I don't know why they offered a lifetime warranty if they can't fix them. And I won't pay for replacement parts either at this point, except batteries which I'll hold off buying more until...

My pre-order Ti is in for it's RMA as of a couple months ago and I'm afraid it won't work or work well again when it comes back. I have moderate expectations it will work like new when I get it back; it was my only vape for some time and, damn, it was great when it worked well. When it works well it's a great vape but there are too many stories on here of inconsistent operation or lack thereof - and the RMA queue is way too long and results are inconsistent. Time, likely lots of it, will tell... :peace:

Got an email this morning. Something Is shipping to me from hopper labs? Who knows what it is. The spare body I bought I was told I'd get another in the 30-90 period but it hasn't been that long so I'm not sure. Maybe a hiccup

It wouldn't be their first hiccup but I hope it is your spare body! Keep us posted. I have no idea what they're going to do with my Ti RMA - fix existing pieces or sub in new ones. TBD, i.e. check back in several months...:bang:

Yeah they fixed my current body even tho i paid for a "spare" I made a note that I wasn't paying 120 for a warranty repair and I expected a second body in the 30-90 time period.
I'll take another hopper hehe

This is very strange... unless they've made some very fundamental circuit changes, the backend is the only thing that makes electrical connections. I'd love to know if you figure this one out!

Both bodies are working great again !

I found that the screen on the front end got loose, and that it screws in and out so I used a tooth pick and turned it till it got sealed again. Now both are working again with regular front end which is great coz I prefers this from using the PFE :)

Yeah, I could have forked over money for a new body and troubleshoot myself but by the end, after 2.25 years, it wouldn't even turn on so in it went. Given there were issues with pre-order units and recent ones, it doesn't sound like it's a sure bet yet. Glad it's working for you yet I won't spend more money on them.

Ah, to have a well-working Hopper again. Again, when it works well it works well! I however suspect their defect and return rate is quite high. I also think the PFE was developed in response to many complaining about draw resistance with the standard frontend, but I don't have a FPE and have never used it (friends have pre-order Hoppers too and none of us have the PFE). And I initially used the silicone tip and then stopped using it after discoloration, looseness and almost losing it several times, so I use it naked.

What I miss is the quick heat-up time and stealthiness in terms of size and form factor. Maybe I'll write HLF soon asking for an update though it's only been there 6-7 weeks and I'm not expecting it back for a while given the RMA backlog. Ugh.

Ive actually given up after waiting for 5 months at one point. It worked fine the first week but vapor production was just not the same. Its been sitting in my dresser for 4 months now I just don't feel the need to get another part replaced instead of a brand new one. Won't ever buy anything brand new from this company again. On a lighter note my Omnivape has been filling in tremendously

So there’s an unknown percentage of new units going in for RMA and a certain but unknown percentage of those not working properly (it at all). There is only hope at this point. I don’t want to relegate it to junk drawer status.

HL replied to me today with the same copy/paste "we're sending parts" message from last time. Got my fingers crossed that they'll send a good back end to go with the one good body I have.

Hey, question for you, hope you'll respond here, as I've not had much luck on reddit. Your (my) blue Ti; prior to sale, did you have doubts of it's hardiness? Would you have sent, as it was in at some point? I'm trying to ascertain if, in addition to acting a fool (won't turn off, won't turn on, needs the plunger twisted, unscrew rescrew general pain in the assedness) it also runs on the cool side.

Any light you can shine on your feelings for you old boy would be appreciated..

If your questioning the "hardiness" I would say sent it in ... But I have a SS that runs colder then my Ti and I wouldn't personally send it in unless it wasn't working at all. My ti is hot tamales and I keep it at 4.

Dang I can still edit:

3 v5 hopper bodies
so far :bang::rockon:
