Maybe in the future (if) when they have all their [production and support] shit together a new front end system with built in loadable pods could be an aftermarket accessory they could develop.

I completely agree and this is a logical step towards improvement though I'm guessing it would require a complete redesign of the oven, and sadly not something that could work with no modifications on present 'hoppers.

One of the reasons I bought a second 'hopper was because I would have liked to have 'swappable' bowls so figured this was an expensive $200 way to do that with the added bonus of if/when a hopper died on me (it did) I would have a backup 'hopper to take its' place (still waiting on that to be delivered, going on 3 months now..)

If anyone has a fury2 quartz cup and GH I'm sure the SS pods will fit similar diameter wise anyway

Don't drop it in just in case!!!!!

I have wondered about cutting down a fine storz and bickel screen and putting it in the bottom of the hopper oven, maybe even remove the hopper screen, place in fine screen and replace hopper screen again.

If your back ends are smoother, do you think they were rebuilt/reconditioned, or do you have new serial #'s (i.e., new back ends)?

Mine came back with the same SN, and it is definitely smooth (and so far that hasn't changed at all.)

How many hits do you guys average from a bowl on the hopper? 4-6 strong hits before the vapor starts to taper off?

My AVB comes out real light brown. Wb you guys?

That very much depends on the quality of what you put into it, in my experience. Unsurprisingly. For me it's 2-4 in general, with high quality cannabis, but I mostly use it through a water piece, so these may well be bigger "hits" than you're doing.

This one seems to vary according to the Grasshopper. Mine is medium brown, generally, I'd say. Hopper Labs made a video of what the ABV is supposed to look like:

My ABV comes out looking like their 3, when I run my hopper on 5. But I'm happy with that, it's about the extraction I'd choose anyway. I'm sure it depends on other things too, like moisture content of herb, whether it's tightly packed, maybe other things.

It really does depend on those things, @snaffle ; also the grind quality (fine but not quite powdery, IMO), and THC content... it seemed to me for a while my hoppers weren't being consistently efficient, but when I found one particular strain that was loaded with THC, I found the cloud production was consistently better even at T3+.

If I may offer my :2c:.... The thing that really helped me really understand my hoppers was/is using a bubbler; I noticed that the vapor doesn't really get going until well toward the end of my draw. Without the bubbler, I'd sense the heat during the draw, and assume/expect it was producing thickish vapor, but be disappointed with the exhale. The bubbler let me see at what point the clouds got kicking.

I believe the heat-up time to maximum extraction (at a particular Temp) goes a little beyond the 10-12 second mark, but it does take time to heat up the material inside before the vapor is produced.
It's probably intuited by most of ya, but I had to deduce that the clouds just don't come off the herb like "pollen blowing off a tree"; gotta heat the whole mass first); and that takes time.

Nonetheless, it was consistency I wanted, and it's what I do see now. Only problem is I really prefer the bubbler now. Being without it, I don't hit the hopper long enough, so I have to hit it twice. Problem solved

Totally! There's a way of being a pest, without being a pest. Be smart by being kind. But definitely be a squeaky wheel!

I just don't understand why they can't respond to me. Even after their blog post.
I'm guessing they said to themselves something along the lines of "These dummies have stuck with us this long...they're not going to leave because we stop responding to support messages. Might as well stop wasting our time."

(Not trying to insult anyone here, I'm one of the "dummies" in question.)

Took the dive. Ti hopper inbound and a HT PFE. Hoping the fury2 capsules fit but if not I'll try and mod something to work.

vAs.:whoa:

Edit: wanted that electric blue ti during the sale but couldn't handle the wait, at least the pfe is HT

I realize this may sound tone deaf to those waiting on a hopper but perhaps balanced by the consumer confidence of those with working hoppers ...

I would love a grasshopper “capsule” system, for a few reasons:

1. Although the debris issue seems to be resolved, I agree with whoever said a capsule system would reduce that kind of faliure and generally keeps the devi cleaner

2. Now that I have an MV1 I’m glad you would still be able to use the GH withouth a “chill pill”. When having pre-loaded is great, it’s awesome, when it’s not it’s nice to be able to just throw that strange bud you came across at a party in.

3. Swapping out chill pills is great for when you’re in a situation where you can’t just dump out the abv anywhere

4. If the chill pills have a case (hopefully for like 10 in an old cigarette case style, a boy can dream) then no more wasted abv on the go, just put the spent capsule back in the case, imagine how much more abv you'll have for your salad topping!

5. A better way to cycle through strains throughout the day. Nothing worse than being stuck with a jar full of Durban Poison at an all you can eat surprise party when what you need to power through the chow line is some pineapple chunk #ColoradoProblems

I like the "aphid" name keep it bug themed .. hehe:razz: Individual pods for this just makes sense... Keep the oven clean and easier to twist off the cap and drop one in rather then litter the threads and risk debris falling into the oven.

:freak: Above all I just need to get a GH on my list of vapes. I too have the mv1.. have had so many now and I keep coming to back to the GH. :mental:

I think after this I might be complete in my journey of vapes. I hope.

So I checked my Grasshopper portal today and it shows my SS unit they received on the 28th has FINALLY changed to Repaired Unit Shipped. Didn't receive an email from them I was just checking like I do every other day lol. I was beginning to think I was insane.

Edit: I actually did receive a shipment confirmation email last night. It seems my Gmail account was not syncing :p

That's almost a guaranteed no, they won't fit. I held the bent stem up against the GH oven opening and it's not quite the diameter of the whole barrel. The F2 capsules would need to be extremely loose, like rattling loose to fit the GH.

Did get my Ti GH back that went in for RMA beginning of Dec. It does seem to heat fast, but I was extremely discouraged to find it with a lot of scratches that weren't there before. Inside and out. I was also hoping it would turn like glass like I keep hearing about, its way more gritty than before. It was sent in because the back end sprung apart, maybe that's why ?

Maybe they can be called eggs, or what do grasshopper’s eat? lol

I’ve had the MV1 for a few weeks now, the new toy effect has definitely worn off and i’m hopping again, even as I speak ... write

I definitely recommend adding a hopper to your collection

Could someone just post a pic of the inside of the new refined hopper (Since April/May) where the battery sits? Since it’s renovation the last few months. I had my unit fixed in October just wondering if I had the new upgrades. A question a few might want to know. Love my GH. I haven’t had any problems. I don’t use it everyday though. Not enough time in the day. I have several fave vapes.

Using my hopper right now with some Gorilla Glue using a Vapirblunt water tube made for the Pinnacle Pro. A great paring IMO.

Finally received my SS hopper ordered on March 2nd. It was shipped may 3rd but still only shows as 'processed' on my account page on the website. Also no customs fees which was a really nice supprise.
So far I've only ran 2 half full bowls through it but I'm well impressed. Some proper testing will take place over the next few days/weeks :science:
