Well, they finally got back to me so my new, never operational GH Ti is on it’s way priority to the Lab. Guess we’ll see how long things take. Says it will arrive tomorrow, so when I get acknowledgment I’ll let you all know. We can try and get an actual time line for when they receive, do whatever they do, and get it back to me.
Also, then I’ll get to at least TRY this thing finally (I hope!!!). Seems like it would be great for micro dosing which is what my neurologist recommends for me.
Still think maybe Evo is my best choice probably. Maybe I’ll trade this and all pieces and Tera that will arrive today if an Evo becomes available

My overall take is that while there is variation in performance from any one Hopper to another, the differences in performance are more a factor of individual components/configuration in a given unit rather than "SS vs Ti". This seems to be affirmed by the recent major factory changes that are (apparently) implementing methodology to make Hoppers more reliable and consistent.

Internals aside, the 'shell' and mouthpiece are the parts made of either SS or Ti and there are some small differences in weight and heat dissipation (the body can get hot to the touch) while in use; some say Ti will feel hot in the hand faster, but will also cool a little faster.

I happen to like the feel and balance of the Ti over the SS, and I like to use the performance front end (all are Ti) exclusively, even though it adds weight and length. It stays a bit cooler on the lips longer than a standard mp and is much easier to clean (I'm not going to go into detail about internal parts in the standard mp...).

A word of caution; This product's roll out has been a wild ride, not for the feint of heart. If considering one, you might want to wait just a bit to see how the changes at Hopper Labs actually affect the product. As far as we know, the months-long hiatus on production and repairing is still in force, so you can't buy a new one (direct) at this time anyway...

On balance, I find ways to love both hoppers equally, as we often say, 'when working properly'!
I still have no regrets about being any early adopter (got 'em for a lot less $, got my lifetime warranty, etc.). My only hassle is a forced T break I've been on for almost 10 months now. :shrug:
Come to think of it, all my Hopper-talk may be a little old and dusty at this point!

Well, I’m personally excited. Seems like a great microdosing device. I was able to trade something negligible for what looked like a barely used Ti with everything include Ti PFE and extra batteries (of course it looks brand new, but doesn’t function )
Anyway, since the trade part didn’t affect me at all, figured it was worth taking the ride for $45 warranty transfer. Olivia took care of getting that in order, and she has already received my hopper and it’s in the queue for repair/replacement/whatever they’re doing.
I realize this will probably be a ride, and maybe not a smooth one, but so far they’ve been very cool with me on this whole process. If it’s just a issue of things moving like a glacier there, well, I still think it’s worth the warranty if they’ll give me the best service they can. Seems like they do follow through there, regardless of time passed.
I’ll just have to sit back, relax, and enjoy the ride. Someday soon I’ll join you all and get to actually TRY the hopper!
For now, I’m happy.

Sounds great, good luck with it!

It's also nice to know that from East Coast you can send it to them 1st class US Mail in a bubble envelope for about 3 bucks, and get a tracking number. (But you may want to buy those envelopes in the 6 packs!)

Old school question (for working hoppers!) Glass is getting tougher to keep in my current household scenario.

Any recommendations for a pleasant whip set up?

Was thinking of a pinnacle pro type Hydrotube too but not sure? Or another, super small profile water piece. Have had the Mobius Sidecar so smaller than that!

I travel with a 14mm ddave type glass piece, at home I use a small grav labs piece, both are small and cool great dry or wet.

I'll post a pick later tonight if you want.

As a smaller piece, I use a Pinnacle Pro Hydrotube knockoff that I got from an Ebay seller, so as not to have to go to Chinese seller directly. I think I paid about $23 bucks. Works nicely with a performance front end on Hopper (much better than std front end); the 'tube takes a couple of tries to dial in the water amount, but once you get it, it's pretty easy to use, and uses no additional parts. Thick glass is pretty HD. I'm big enough that I can put it in my jeans pocket if simply stepping out back, but you can't tip it or it can take on an embarrassing kinda look...
Only detail I'm slightly hazy on is size, but I believe the 'tube is 14mm inlet.

Thanks. Hadn't thought of those. Any particular ones you like? Not familiar at all with ecig accessories. Would use with the PFE

You should be excited :) It's a great microdosing device, as the pure convection does a great job of getting everything out of the herb quickly and evenly, as well as very efficiently. That said, I've been enjoying the large chamber (compared to the vapcap, my other vape) to get me to a really great place in a few massive hits through glass. It does a great job however you want to use it.

Internals, for me, will matter in terms of pricing. I just need a portable that can handle my abuse I guess and while I appreciate the subtleties of both the ss and the ti in terms of what they offer beyond internals....The bottom line is I am a vet who medicates fairly heavy, with a small bottom line and i need to get this right, cant flail around, because it isnt fiscally realistic as much as my VAS has taken hold.

A whip goes so well on the GH. I think the PFE with a glass attachment connecting to tube and a mouthpiece is the best option. 7th Floor have quality options for that kind of stuff.
You might even find just the adapter is enough as a mouthpiece
