Let me try to understand. The GH is so great you need to buy 2, and ideally 3 so you will have one to use when you have to send the others in for their monthly or bi-monthly RMA. They get so hot you need a silicone condom to save your lips from being vaped or a glass bubbler while using the GH as the heat source. So for around $200.00 you get an undependable vaporizer that looks like a thick ballpoint pen, gets hot when vaping, has sketchy operation, constant need to be repaired, and unreliable availablity. And this is great why?

LMAO!!! That was funny and very true for a number of Hopper owners and is most likely in all owners future at some point in time!
If you want to ride the wave of the future, hop on board and enjoy the ride!
It is a ride though, so be careful when purchasing your ticket!
Who would have thought that we would have a pure convection vaporizer the size of a pen??

I really do like using mine and use it as a regular vape, charge, load and hit numerous times.
Wait and repeat!
So far it has been good to me!

And then there is the 15 second heat up time...

But buyer beware, everyone who has access to the internet can make an informed decision to join the revolution or just watch it unfold on the screen! LOL!

I think most people that buy the GH does so with their eyes open. Most folks have been watching this portable a long time.

I just received a gifted used hopper but it won't be my one and only vaporizer that I will be using, I have several. This unit will come in handy when on the go and I need to be discreet. I was able to change over the warranty from Hopper Labs for $45 so I feel safe. I expect at one point to have to use the warranty.

I had been waiting to buy a GH but was offered this one. I'm happy with it so far. The vapor tastes good and it extracts well.

LOL I don't yet own a GH but it's next on my hit list. I've stayed on the fence for all the reasons you listed above, but I'm optimistic the new PFE will help (I'm a low temp vaporist, don't use water) The QC issues are what scare me, waiting for them to slow down...

15 second? Is that the norm for your GH now? Or time to time? Something I have never experienced with my GH's.
on my SS, from red to blue, cold to hot, the very first time, heating time is always around 6-12 seconds (more if really cold, like outside winter cold), then from warm to hot 4-7 seconds
on my Ti, between 6' and 10' the first time, then 2'-5'

You?

To be honest I think GHL should have sent out a free new front-end to everyone and also exchange the first fun of batteries for the second for free.

I have not tried that exact set up but for $25, why not give it a shot?
@DDave is known for having excellent mod options!

What i do is just use the hopper through an empty water tool.
Thanks for both replies, I dont use water tools any more (too much air in guts and no flavour) and I do have my own cooling setup (dry) for both Solo and Hopper but it was another member that mentioned something similar if not the same by a different name that caught my attention. It might be $25 but add the $25 postage plus conversion rate and it soon jumps up to around guessing $60-70 AUD so I dont like to waste my time and money anymore if not any good.

I got mine today also, and feel the same as you. I think this will have me using my GH on the go more. I'm thinking @DDave Mi V2 cooler with this will make a nice dry/cool combo on the go with no extra parts needed!

As for the screen, mine looks like it may have been pushed in from the mouthpiece end? Looking inside the mouth piece, the screen looks like it has 3 "tabs" pushed up around the edge as if they were being used to create something digging into the sides to hold it in place. Like inexpensive spring steel fasteners that you push over rods and such. This would match the 6-7 pairs of lines scratched into the inside walls. These lines are the same width apart as those tabs. I can feel ever so slightly that they are scratches, but I don't think they will cause any problems including extra cleaning. They're not deep enough.

I'm guessing these early batches will have a few remnants of the assembly learning curve.

I'm not convinced that they open the airpath much either. I did a very unscientific test by swapping them back and forth and drawing multiple times directly thru them (not thru glass, etc.). I think the inlet is where the blockage is, if I start to pull hard, it has a lot of noise there......

The GH with PFE pairs beautifully with an Orbiter. The small size and hoses are really matched to the GH and its airflow. This could easily replace my Evo/Hydratube or HB Maxx/Hydratube night side table setup. It takes up almost no room, not much more than a can of soda and still delivers the clouds.

It's definitely a keeper

Is this the same as your M1 V2 cooler? DDave mods
14mm Vapor Cooler *DRY* Flavor-Saver Whip Attachment?
If so is it really cool with hopper and easy to clean? Thanks

@jivebuggered That it is. V2's are all female pieces. V3 is the single piece Male cooler.

To answer the question on how it works with the hopper, I must shout out to @AJS. His advice is always solid!

I can speak on cleaning the cooler, as I DO NOT use my Milaana or VapCap at home without one. I let mine get fairly dirty, dark golden coating in the first chamber which vapor enters the cooler.... and even this dirty, a soak overnight in ISO (70%) then a brief shake in the morning and she comes out spotless.

That's exactly what it is. I don't use it with water and it works great for me! I also use it with its intended vape the Mi, always dry and it works great there too.

They're a little finicky to clean, but a long hot PBW soak and a pressure rinse and it's all good!

Not sure how that conversion works for you in the real world, but sounds expensive. Maybe local or dhgate?

@jivebuggered

Thanks! Correct on all points you listed.

I do have to apologize though. You caught me on a clumsy evening and while I was packing up your order, I could have sworn that some extras fell into the box... :o

Enjoy!

I don't really notice I'm getting a hit until I'm blowing vapor out my ears.
I very much dig it with the GH ...

I use the cooler directly ontop of the GH with silicone tip. Until I lost my silicone tip ... now I use the 14mm m2m with the cooler ontop of it and the GH directly held to the M2M.
