Discontinued The Grasshopper

So, if you have any of those silicone mouthpiece covers from the Cloud V, Cloud Penz, Cloud 2.0, Atmos Thermo etc., type pens ( the flat, tiny rectangular wax pens) then they work pretty well as extra "session extenders" for the GH. They fit nice and snug and they actually do a good job at reducing the heat and as you can see you can leave them up a little so the tip of the GH doesn't touch the end so its like a nice, soft, flat mouthpiece that's really cool, as in not as hot.

So do you gently roll back the soft plyable sheathing with your fingers, or use your lips to push it back in one smooth sucking movement? Seriously though .... awesome repurposed lip guard.

Hi Everyone,

This is a quick update to cover a few important things. First, we are working very hard to get everyone their Grasshoppers as soon as possible. For the most part, shipping has gone smoothly. A few backers have experienced an issue but some of that is to be expected with a new product. We've already tracked down the problem, fixed it and replaced the units for those backers.

There's a lot going on around here so we apologize for any slow customer service responses. We'll get to every message, but it might take a few more days than normal. In the meantime, here are some answers to commonly asked questions.

Shipping address confirmations will be sent out 1-5 days before your order is shipped. When you receive the confirmation you'll be given the opportunity to update your address at that time. This is the best way to avoid updating your address multiple times. You may still email an address change to support@grasshoppervape.com but we will not update it on the website immediately to avoid spending unnecessary time changing addresses.

You may add accessories to your order at any time before shipping. The process for this is to create a new order using your same account. If you have an open order you will not be charged any additional shipping and the items will all go out together. This will not cause any delay with your order.

The campaign accessories are in the works. We now have stock of the leather sleeve and the Stainless Case for immediate shipping. The Ti Case, Water Pipe Adapter, and Oils-end are all still in the works. If you contributed for these items, your order will ship without them and they will be delivered at a later date. Our current priority is shipping Grasshoppers and we will be getting many more units out this month.

We hope everyone who has received a unit is enjoying it and we'd love to hear your feedback.

We’ll be back on the 15th with another update.

The Grasshopper Team

Surely that stainless case is gonna scratch/mark the crap out of the hopper with repeated removal/insertion unless its lined in some way.

This is from a long ago Reddit post by Trevor:

"trevorvaporTrevor at Grasshopper 11 points 1 year ago.
We wil be shipping the stainless cases at the same time, in February." (My EDIT :hmm::goon::bang::ugh:)
"Of course they don't rattle! You must know us better. The cases like everything else have a pretty cool design. The pen is suspended between the front of the case where a plastic shaped cone matches up with the Grasshopper's front-end and the back where a slot allows the clip to align the Pen and stop rotation. A small spring in the front side provides a tiny bit of tension so that when you screw the back on it is held snug"

It would've been helpful for them to show the inside of the case though. Give the people something more to look forward to.

what would be so interesting about the inside of a case? just curious. (only saying this because of above post describing how the case holds the GH still)

Only because it's helpful for questions like these:

A visual would clear everything up versus just reading about how it works you know? It would've taken no time at all to snap pictures of the inside and show the people what they are getting and if they should purchase it.

What I'd like to see inside the ss case is what the opening to the container looks like - how easy to pour from it. What I think would be cool is a built-in spout or tapered opening/mini-funnel. (edited)

@slcbdco @midgetsanchez @Just Justin and anyone else who has a GH, have you noticed any charring of your herb at high temps?
I have not noticed any charring, although I have been mostly using mine on 2-3.5 and on those temps the abv is a nice tan-light brown. I'll try a chamber on 5 later tonight if I remember and I'll share my results.
