To both of your well-stated points:
I have been thinking I'm headed toward another VAS episode, but yes, when it comes to portable -
and when it's working well - the hopper is really incredible.
Over the past 3 days, I don't know why this is, but, the current "swap" I have going on with my two hoppers, this thing has been better than ever. If the colors matched, I'd keep it just the way it is even when they give me the new parts for them. Even the battery life seems way better.
Point being that if this thing worked all the time the way it is working now, I'd have no VAS.
But I just don't trust the hopper to keep functioning as well as it is now. And again, I'm not talking about "my one hopper", but a combo of the working parts from both while I wait for the replacement parts.
I feel that this device is too fragile to rely upon for daily use. My VAS is abated for the time being, but as soon as I get police lights again, I'm gonna be back shopping.
Anybody ever try the Plenty? It's made by the Volcano people. Looks like a Craftsman drill.
When I got the police lights, it seemed like "fast" flashing to me, yet I believe it is a sensor overload. The only reason I say that is, the lights flash before the heater even gets to temp - so how could it be "overheating"? That's just me talking to myself... I'm not disputing what the GH vids show, of course. Just weird. But in any case,
either type of flashing, fast or slow, results in a no-questions-asked new body sent from GH. And they've seemed to be really speedy about these types of Warranty requests.
VAS is very tricky... just when you think you can deal....
I'm curious about this Brick. It looks so simplistic.
I would want something that is pure convection. I'd welcome testimonies on the Brick!
EDIT: I found the videos on the Brick... Nice, but I really don't wanna deal with a torch! Great clouds though!
