@FizzNuggets no worries, I appreciate everyone's in put.
That's the issue my gray has right now. A good up to down bang and blow through the back end has it working for a few more hits.Hopper just died completely. Now won't heat up at all. Red light comes on briefly, then shuts down. Same issue I had when it died last time. Back end started getting crazy hot a few days prior to this failure.
I'm gonna be pushing for a ti replacement. I'm not sending this thing back once every three weeks.
Guys and girls hows the new back end with the gap compared to the older one without the gap does it stay cooler?
When I do this I'm just holding the coolest part of the hopper... but the ring still gets hot during use even when not "completing the circuit." I know because I check after I click it off, so no current can possibly be flowing through my finger at that point.Hold body with two fingers and thumb whith clip to the side now it stays cool
thanks for nice and artistic pictures!
✔ Periodic check-in!
- Blue Ti Hopper
- Just over 2 & half weeks old
- Driven daily through 1 to 5 loads
- Around 3 loads per full charge
- No noticeable hot-ass(!)
I'm really enjoying the inconspicuous portability of my little Hopper. However, I must admit that some mornings I wake up & remember having it out & about with me on the previous evenings escapades, but I don't necessarily remember getting it home. Subsequently, there have been a few mad scrambles, which have thankfully been followed by an overwhelming feeling of relief when I find the little dude safely stowed away
Clearing an entire chamber on full power, in one huge water filtered hit is extremely effective and time efficient, which I find perfect for those hurried, no messin, headin-out-tha-door type rips.
For someone who likes to be on the go, the GH has set a very high standard. So for my useage pattern, and at times when it is not conducive to reach for my other favorite portable device, the Hopper is fast becoming one of my 'vapessentials'.
Again, awesome work on the hardware, boys.
And for those of you who are hopping mad, & still waiting it out in pre-order purgatory - if my words can be of any comfort - I believe all will be forgiven
MuchLove!

Ok just a follow up on the above: somehow I (knock on wood) returned my hopper back to day one functionality. I took the backend off and pressed on the springy area that touches the battery. My intent wasn't to fix it...just to look at that piece more closely. I really didn't want it to fly apart in my hand, so I was extra cautious. I am pretty sure the clip's ring moved just a little bit...like one millimeter...almost like it clicked into place. I'm guessing that something inside of it clicked into place, and not the actual ring. When attached the backend sits pretty flush to the body. My clip's ring is one from the batch that has a small bulbous part like we've seen in past posts. When I do this I'm just holding the coolest part of the hopper... but the ring still gets hot during use even when not "completing the circuit." All I know is it didn't get hot at all for a few weeks...then now it gets almost half as hot as the chamber gets. I'm talking after 2 pulls native, or 1 pull through glass.
Is it true that some of the hoppers out there genuinely don't get hot backends? Caroline says it is completely normal for it to get pretty warm.
I have a green Ti FYI...
This is fascinating, thank you.Ok just a follow up on the above: somehow I (knock on wood) returned my hopper back to day one functionality. I also wiped the *tiniest* bit of black sludge off the springy contact, inadvertently, while pushing it...and a bit off the battery end.
OH, and best of all: It also clicks louder now...noticeably louder. I'm extremely sound sensitive. I can hear a wider spectrum than most. It's is a very consistent click now, whereas when my backend was getting hot the click was MUCH softer...and fluctuated erratically. This indicates that the heating IS arcing like people have been speculating. IIRC The heater gets power via that pulsing electrical clicking sound. If that sound is muted and fluctuating in volume, it's safe to assume the heater isn't getting full power.... Blah blah blah..
You see where this is going right?
I mean it works exactly like it did for the first 2 weeks! And yes, the ring will now GET hot if I touch it, but does not by default get hot at all if i don't touch it.
I am soooo happy right now!!
Read the past few pages of this thread. Some people with both have been weighing in on that. Seems like a pretty close call, though.Hey guys....so my sister wants a vaporizer and this seems to be the ultimate one...
Only question now... Steel or titanium ... if you don't have a money issue, is that titanium more than just looks and finish?
The real question is does your sister want her vape this year?Hey guys....so my sister wants a vaporizer and this seems to be the ultimate one...

Titanium is supposed to stay cooler and is a lighter material, so if money is not an issue go for the titanium
Will check.
What do you mean?
I saw in the website, its suppose to be shipped by next month?
Regarding expected delivery, ghl is very behind on their projected delivery dates. We all hope they catch up and there won't be future lag time, but most of us have been waiting a year or longer for ours. Will check.

she will be waiting over a year I still haven't got mine yet. I ordered on aug 2015 .Regarding expected delivery, ghl is very behind on their projected delivery dates. We all hope they catch up and there won't be future lag time, but most of us have been waiting a year or longer for ours.
That sucks so bad man. Have they even offered to pay the shipping?#6 Hopper died yesterday. Blue lights come on immediately after pressing the on button, no heat. Just a click and right to blue. Nothing new here though, prob another bad body like the last one, or two...
I feel thankful, fortunate, & honored to have had almost a full working month with this 6th, game changing, revolutionary device. Oh boy!
Cue 'Taps'...
Lmao! I've tried the Grasshopper idk about a grasshopper though.Hi BassVaper,
Geez, I don't know which scenario is worse: endlessly yearning to receive a Grasshopper, or playing taps for your sixth (6th !) dead Grasshopper. Look on the bright side. Grasshoppers are a great source of protein, and might be able to keep you alive for a few days, I dunno.
