Discontinued The Grasshopper

@Erixk557 The other popular charger here is the Nitecore D4. I was recommended the Xtar over the D4 due to usb compatibility. I also find the display easier to read with a better layout on the Xtar.

Didn't work on my iPad mini. Maybe I should change from the FC default style. But that's what I'm used to...

I don't think the mobile site allows you to view it, I don't remember ever seeing the post numbers when I was using my 3DS, but on regular browsers it's displayed right beside the like-quote-reply buttons

Hey guys, I got a response:

"Hi There,

We received your Grasshopper and after thorough testing, we could not recreate any of the issues you experienced. In the lab, your Grasshopper is fully operational. We will be sending it back to you today.

Best, C"

So, I don't think I gave you guys the full story of what my Hopper went through. Basically, my GH took a tumble, it was working for about 8 hits, and the next afternoon (working that morning) it stopped. I tested it thoroughly and it sounded like a cricket (heh). Warranty was claimed, I cleaned it, got it ready for delivery, and decided to test it one last time before I closed it off and sent it. The ISO was popping (the popping noises freaked me out but I'd heard it before) and the heater was working normal. The 3-5 red LED, then ready to hit blue. As you see from the response, I think my Hopper fixed itself over night. Did GHL incorporate nanotech into this thing or something?

Anyway, this means I'll probably get it Thursday/Friday. I guess time away from the Hopper was good for me. Got me to appreciate the Air and still be frustrated at the Flowermate. Nonetheless, I am so stoked to have my baby in my hands again. I have a Pelican 1150 Case that holds all of my vaporizers, stems, batteries, and so once it's back I will have my entire setup (until my 2 batteries set for December get here). I will post pics of that and the Grasshopper, and more vids of course. (I've been editing the review a little, but now it's finals crunch, so late December).

Speaking of vids, I posted these on reddit but not here, and since people were asking:
Turn your speakers down a bit, my iPhone was giving a lot of white noise.

Would people here be interested in seeing rip comparisons with the Arizer Air and Grasshopper and Flowermate in the same video? Cause I can totally do that, I just don't know if people would want me to.

Edit: Not even 5 minutes and 2 people want it. You got it <3

Ok couple further observations;

1. Put back into its leather pouch immediately after vaping makes this much more odor stealthy. Really doesn't have any leak since its hot air being passed over when you toke.

2. I don't think it's technically ready in 3-5 seconds. You have to inhale a few times before it seems to reach proper heat. Still say it's 8-10 seconds, that super impressive. I continue to think of this as a fairly perfected mflb, firefly. As I said, if those were less technically difficult to me I'd still use them, but I don't. Seems the flavor is more in that direction than say a pax2.

Is this your 1st convection vape? It might just be you are not used to the time required to heat the herb in the chamber. Things like moisture have to be boiled off and this takes time & energy which is why you don't see vapor immediately(like a conduction vape).

I was under the impression when it's blue, it's ready as their manual says. When it's blue, I draw but the first draw or two really aren't ready. Is that the nature of a convection vape?

Yup. The first hit or two are mainly flavor hits with convection. Usually no visible vapor or very wispy vapor. Goes back to what yafreekin was saying. The blue just means the heaters up to heat. Still need the airflow through the herb to heat it up and boil off moisture and what not first

Sounds to me as though your cleaning may have done the trick.....

I agree, but I don't know how it would do so. I think I pressed a ISO Q-Tip against the screen, so maybe that pushed something back into place. Other than that, the Q-Tip was ever so slightly yellow/green (you know how it gets like dark dirty? The chamber doesn't get the Q-Tip like that, unlike the mouthpiece).

Who knows! All I know is that I'm excited to have my Hopper back and cleared by the GH team.

In other news, my tracking info shows that GHL should have received my Grasshopper in the mail. We'll see how long turn around for a SS warranty (in this time of what seems like few SS being shipped) takes. I got an 18mm Joda Stem for the Arizer Air to keep my busy in the meantime.
In same boat, my return arrived on Friday and now I wait w/ lesser vapes. Luckily I'm expecting a Firewood 3.0 to arrive on Wednesday and make the waiting much easier

just heard back -

"Hi There,

We received your Grasshopper and after some testing, we determined that your Back End needed to be replaced. We have done this and will send your Grasshopper back to you tomorrow morning.

Best,
Caroline"

So pretty good turnaround, and I'm excited it's coming back soon, looking forward to the new parts.

it is becoming a little frustrating,,,,half an hour ago (11h30 cet), i recieved the replacement back-end for my green ti grasshopper,,,,the first one (gt000642) made funny lightshows and then fell apart,,,,,
the one i recieved now (gt000793), is getting the blue light directly when i click it on!
then i don't stop heating! it is burning my herbs!!! like the first one just before it fell apart!
maybe it is the hole hopper making this?
i already send them a warranty request,,,,this is starting to become ridicules, i live in europe, if this continues and i have to send back a replacement that is not working again next time, then this will shortly become as expensive as buying a new vaporizer!
i don't want to be negative about the hopper or the company, because, as others, who are owning one, have already said, when working, the grasshopper is definitely a game changer, but then again, it has to work!
i give it a third try and send them back, whatever they like me to send them back,,,,but, if the next replacement comes and does not work properly, i might then keep it until i am sure they have gotten all the bugs cleared and every hopper is reliable and then send it back for a new one, or maybe then i am buying another vaporizer, maybe a second pax2 (i really enjoy!), or the "zion" and "elevape" but they are quite expensive also i don't know if they are shipping to europe?
i let you all know what's going on, as soon as i have an answer from ghl.....:-)
