This was with .15 (man I don't believe you guys got me weighing weed!:lmao:) and yes IMHO the grasshopper can also be used as a "session" vape when starting at lower temps. The chamber can hold roughly .3, thus getting 6 full robust hits from that amount on full blast! Enjoy gang! :science: I sure as heck did!

I know it is far from ideal, but some people who use their grasshopper on the go a lot and are having trouble with the mouth getting too hot. something like this would work and at least its small enough to fit in your pocket with your GH

Has the supplied silicone mouthpiece proved ineffective?

What about some sort of braided hemp sleeve? Not even sure if anything like that exists.
That's precisely the type of thing I tried searching for the other day :D Will give the search a more thorough go once I have hopper in hand and get a better feel of what I’m working with. Will be fun to try & come up with something. :science:

I find I burn the shit out of my lips when I put them on the tapered section of the metal mouthpiece (sans silicone "session extender").

My solution - put my lips on the round section of the oven where there's a bit of insulation. Since changing my lip placement, I've had no problems so far with heat on the mouthpiece. Again, haven't used the "session extender" since getting this loaner

I'm not taking massive rips to cause the heat to build up, instead I'm taking semi decent pulls until I feel the "burn" building in my lungs (massive vapor production, Jesus). I do exhale pretty impressive clouds, and finish a load in about 3-4 hits (running usually on the 4th temp notch).

Totally agree about lip placement. More mouthpiece is the way to go!

The hot mouthpiece is something that's going to need to be addressed with future revisions to the model. I will wait until the hot mouthpiece is fixed.
I really wonder how they could ever pull that through with such a short vapor path… If I ever get one, I am sticking a nice short piece of bamboo on it and problem is solved! :science: Gonna test it with my bro's GH once he receives it, hopefully next month, although I doubt it's coming that soon… :p

But I like it!
INH05s had a short vapour path as well. A short piece of whip fixed the hot draw right away, and after a couple of days it just sorted itself out, or rather I got used to it and it was no longer an issue. Adapt and overcome - it's what separates us from, umm, a couple of animals... maybe none of them now that I think of it...

Bump?

I'm hoping to be able to do something along the same lines I think.... I'm hoping to be able to find a glass tube that will slide into the actual chamber of the GH..... it will reduce some of the chamber size as well so bonus..... and then there is the reclaim....bonus bonus....

And.....?
Other than the wonders of the USPS - any more details about the issue and how they addressed it?

So one last update, and not one that i'm very happy about. While the GH team sent a replacement right away and it's working flawlessly, I only had the vape for about a week before it stopped working.

For international backers/customers, we have to pay shipping the malfunctioning unit back to them or else it voids our warranty. Which in most cases it's understandable, but from my point of view, if a customer has had it for a week and it craps out, they shouldn't have to pay to get it fixed. After a month, sure. A week though? That's just poor customer service. /rant

Many vapes & accessories. Always happy to help
Can you tell where you're from and what you had to pay to get it sent back?

I haven't sent it back yet, but i'm from Canada. I believe they do prepaid returns for the states, but if you're on the other side of the border I believe you'll be paying shipping even if it's a DOA, as per their warranty.

Edit: I think one of things that irks me is that they made it sound like it was all taken care of in terms of shipping costs. Trevor e-mailed me letting me know there would be a return package with the replacement unit, and he would send a prepaid label. Then I get an e-mail after I try mailing it to let me know that I have to pay for it.
