I presume you're referring to the power brick on the cable. IMO very doubtful there is any damage to the unit itself. It should not be difficult to replace.

I picked up a new piece of glass to use with my EQ:

It has a male 18mm joint on the end. I just put an EQ elbow screen in there, packed it, and enjoyed the most flavorful vapor ever.

I got it off Amazon, found it while searching for a J hook, but it's not available any more.

I put an inline ashcatcher with an EQ elbow screen (packed with herb) in the male connection into my EQ's Tuffbowl and put the mouthpiece in the female port.
I did put a little hot water in the ashcatcher for some diffusion.
Be super careful if you try this not to blow into the mouthpiece. It will shoot water directly into the heater!

Yay, I finally got my EQ. Thanks for your reply oldiebutgoodie. So now that I have it, I'm trying to learn more about it. There's so much info on here, it's hard to find the useful posts.
Maybe someone could help clear some stuff up?
What is elbow packing?
There's so many abbreviations that I don't know being used in this thread. Is there a post that explains them?
What improvements can I make to my EQ setup to make it more efficient, without spending a lot of cash?
(I saw some people breaking out the glass lip in the cyclone bowl for better airflow, which I think I'll try)
Any other simple things that I can do to make my vaping experience better?

I've been using the Q for a couple of months now. I have stopped smoking joints/bongs/pipes/bubblers and am strictly a bag man now. I really enjoy the high. everyday, the Q is on about 9 hours, off for 2 and on for another 5 or so. I'm hoping this isn't too much abuse. It's either that or turn it on and off 14 times.
I rolled up a small square of paper towel and wrapped tape around the pointy end to use as a plug.
I also use some tongs to pick up the glass. getting high and accidently grabbing that glass would not be fun.
I settled on using one 1/4 tsp of bud per bag. I set it on 190 or 200, make the bag and put the AVB into a baggie. I've cut down on my daily consumption of bud by 1/2 gram. I just bought a magical butter machine and will probably turn the ABV into canna oil.
I recommend this thing to everybody.
I also noticed that I have less control over the munchies while vaping. I had it dialed in with joints and ignored the munchies, but something about vaping makes me want to jam food in my mouth. which is why I don't keep munchies around.

I ran out of MJ so I ran a nail down the wand to push out the golden goodness in the wand.......I don't like it! It gives us a terrible high that makes you angry. Has anyone else tried this. I put a dab on a cotton ball and vaped at 230. It rolls vape forever but it has really messed with my head. I don't think I will ever do this again.

yeah we've all been there!! I remember the days, some 20 years ago when on a mission to recover all those spliff ends in all ashtrays available to reconstruct something to pass the urge !!!

I've never used cotton but I always vape reclaim. Maybe you just over did it?
One of the reasons I discourage using reclaim for edibles, it is hard to judge the dose.

To tell you the truth I don't think I can "over do it" I have been doing this sense I was 13 and now I am 48. I took a few years off in high school if you can believe that...
I don't think I have been without, long term, for a long time. The only way it was to much is if any was too much. The wife didn't have much and didn't like the results either. She is more sensitive to thc than I am for sure but it didn't give us couch lock or anything like that. It just amped us up and put us in a fowl mood. There was no aawwwww that was good. Just "I feel like shit and I'm not doing that again". I have tried to make firecrackers twice with little to no effect.

By the way, I'm new here on FC. The EQ was my first vape and it's served me well for almost half a year now. I love doing elbow packs (dry hits and a little waterpipe) and the occasional bag. I researched here when looking for my first vape but I never bothered to make a profile. I recently returned to look into the SSV and ended up placing an online order so I plan to pass my EQ to my brother. Been reading through this thread and see lot of the mods people are doing are really interesting.
I've tried vaping the oil/resin/particles that get stuck in the elbow and I found it produced good results and was enjoyable

Are you sure it was 100% organic cotton and not tainted with anything? When I cleaned my glass last night, I put the cotton from the q-tips in the cyclone on top of a thin layer of herb and vaped it at 225 through my bong. I was feeling no pain and passed out shortly there after with my TV and PS3 still on, with 20 min or so left on my sleep timer.
You could try it through a bong and see if that helps. Edit: Sometimes I forget the younger generation doesn't know what a bong is. It's a "water pipe", fuckin government trying to take our words. BONG, do somethin!

it looks like a lot of vape sites sell this product for much less than the manufacturer's website. are the ones the other sites are selling refurbished models? If I still get the warranty am I safe to purchase the less expensive route or should I always stick with the manufacturer to buy products?

A j-hook/sherlock with female joint will work with a female/male adapter, placing a Cloud ELB inside the male end. The only potential gotcha, similar to the challenge with the @DDave female/female mod, is that the ID of male adapters varies and some are too tight for fit an ELB (or Q elbow-screen).

It may take a couple months, but virtually everyone who does so says it is worth it. If that is too much, then start at about page 250. That's about the time that @DDave suggested his female/female adapter mod. Thereafter there were a number of variations on that theme, plus different mods for the whip/wand/mouthpiece end of the equation. There are many great suggestions and details about the machine - "tips and tricks" - going back to the beginning of the thread, but for performance mods I haven't seen any better than those discussed over the past six months or so.Re elbow-packing and abbreviations, try the vaporpedia . . .

There is no need whatsoever to purchase directly from Arizer. And while Arizer is happy to sell direct, it is actually to their advantage to sell through their authorized retailers. The difference in price simply reflects the discount margin passed on to the reseller. The units sold are exactly the same, factory new with the same warranty.
Having said all that, there are resellers who lead buyers to believe that they are authorized when they are not. These are seen mostly on eBay or Amazon, the real online stores that sell a variety of products are typically legit. Suggesting another variation on the DDave Mod! Elbow pack the elbow screen used in the SSV Wand. I've done this (being too lazy to put the Arizer Elbow back on the Whip to elbow pack hit) and found it hits even stronger in my configuration than if I had swapped back to the Arizer elbow.
Hits were amazing! I believe in my configuration, the wand allows the elbow screen (packed) to be closer to the heater than the stock Arizer elbow.
