I don't know about that one. It has to hold a screen and I don't think that one will hold it very well. You also don't always get what is pictured. I have ordered twice from missnellybelly on ebay and they were different both times. Fortunately a screen fits both of the ones I ordered. The first one looked like the pic she post. The second ones I ordered had square shoulders on the center ring but still held I screen like the original. I guess what I am saying is order it and find out.....

On a side note.....I think we are outgrowing my Q. We feel like we are attached to this thing like a ball and chain. I need to medicate and be done. I think that I neeeeed a Solo and a Log vape. I recently purchased some cheap meds and it won't do a very good job with that at all. I went back to rolling it. I hate to but its all I got.

Thanks, I've been looking! That piece from titaniumedgeshop that you link to has an even bigger ledge than the cyclone bowl, with a small hole - not good.
You can see it in the second photo and that is how the seller described it when I asked them.

Is there really nobody in the UK with these glass parts?

At the moment I'm looking at paying more for postage from the US than the cost of the piece itself

Hey guys, I just got my arizer extreme Q a few days ago as my first vape, I really like it but I think im doing something wrong. I really enjoy the whip function, but I can only seem to get 3 or 4 hits at max before my elbow pack seems cashed.

I've been reading around and other people say I should be getting at least 5 and someone else said that they get 15 rips out of their elbow bowl. I didn't want to make a new thread (maybe I should?) but Im just not able to rip this thing as many times as I thought. even when I put a fair amount in the intended chamber, probably filled the clear portion 3/4 of the way full, I only got 2 bags with fan setting 3 when i've been told I should be getting 3 or 4.

I generally run my temps a little higher than most people it seems, usually using around 205c-215c but the only time I use the intended bowl is to fill the bag. Am I doing something wrong? Is there anything I can do myself to improve the function a little bit here? I just don't feel like im getting my moneys worth out of my herb the way other people are.

When I do elbow packs I am around 190* after it starts to give up I give a light blow that sends the pack out into the screen below. Then I vape that by pulling it back up into the elbow. If it won't come out by blowing gently then I dig it out and then suck it back up. I make it a real cyclone bowl...lol...When I am done tossing the pack back and forth until it gives nothing, it produces coffee grounds for me. I think if you are too high temp the results seem better but short lived and not the best taste. If you are using the bag I fill the cyclone 3/4 full and 205*sounds about right. I filled two bags and never used it again. I think if you want a bag vape the volcano is what you need. Others use the bags so
As you read this thread there are a few good mods that you can do. I ended up vapor bonging with the Q. I do like the SSV wand/whip over a DDave adapter. You will have to see what works for you.

after the first few pulls...I looked at my eq and it was glowing orange!! I'm kind of proud because I've been vaping exclusively for two years (I think) and I have never once have experienced combustion in my eq!! (I usually vape around 155-210C)

Here's another possible source. I've not contacted the seller, but if you do inquire, ask if their adapter has a ledge or some kind of accomodation for a screen in the middle. If it does, this may be another source for the DDave adapter....

@goatgobaahh, I received info of one other who combusted using the DDave mod and max temp. IMHO, 230 is good.

Regarding Sour D and sleep, I have a system that works well for when I'm low on supply and I need to use a strain to sleep that may not suited for that purpose. I vape throughout the day at around 170C, saving the ABV. That gives me a good lift for daytime. When it's time to hit the hay, I break out the partially extracted ABV and vape somewhere between 200-230C (strain dependent), and in that way even strains that don't normally help me sleep do indeed help.

Disclaimer for everyone on the above: If the strain youre attempting this with doesn't have any of the cannabinoids that help with sleep in the first place, then no amount of temperature adjustment will put them there. The method I describe above simply scrapes a good amount of the THC from the product during the daytime pass... leaving low THC to regular CBD content allowing the sleeptime effects of the CBDs to be more effective.

I hit DDave with a personal message and hes helping me figure things out, the problem is being narrowed down but still not pinpointed yet. There are no leaks, everything seems in decent order. I will have to call a friend on over for a "quality screening" or something. Im leaning more and more that the issue may be the herb.

I was cruzing along until I purchased some cheap meds from south of the border. I am combusting it now and I have not done that sense I purchased the Q. I had no problems from quality meds other than I think the Q is two slow for me and the wife. I feel like it takes me too long to medicate the both of us. I have to go through 3 ELB's before I quit. Again my tolerance is through the roof so I don't blame the Q.

I just pulled out the SSV wand and warmed it up to 215! ok I am lying I forgot to warm it up. It worked better after it warmed up. I had a nice session and need to retract the bad thoughts I was having about my Q. I just needed to back up and try something different. The wand did it. I guess that's why I have a big tool box. It takes different tools for different jobs.

Try the whip . The bags aren't good enough in my experience. Pre-heat the system for 10 minutes using the fan, then turn off the fan, load (pack the elbow tight) and let it heat up for another 2 minutes before inhaling. Inhale slowly and steadily. . If you don't get much at 210C then your herb is probably too weak.

I've been using the all-glass pathway as in the photo I posted earlier and I'm gettin tastier and stronger hits than ever before. The 90 degree elbow joint and too-long cyclone bowl are this machine's weak points, thankfully replaceable.

I don't have any good news here... from what I've heard, only time can remove that smoke smell (if it's something you can't ISO)

Anyone else have experience with reclaim that's been undesirably seasoned by accidental combustion?

If you're still using PVC tubing you could take this opportunity to upgrade to high temp silicone You could ISO clean the bong but if the tubing is PVC it can't be soaked in ISO as it will absorb the taste/smell. As, DDave said, only time will get rid of that smokey smell.

I feel for ya, I combusted with my EQ back when I first got it and that after taste is definitely not what any vaporist desires!

I'm not a longtime lurker but I have been browsing this thread for the better part of three days in anticipation of my first vaporizer arriving. I'm usually great at research and I think my skills paid off yet again.

My Extreme Q arrived yesterday. I'm already very happy with my decision. I tried a few pinches from the cyclone bowl, then enjoyed a well-packed bowl in the elbow screen. Wonderful taste. I never knew herb had such nuance of flavor. I'll admit the milky taste in my mouth put me off a little, but after my second bowl I was used to it.

Tonight I'm trying the bag. The girlfriend is still hesitant (as she tends to be with anything tech-related ). My primary goals with this thing are efficiency and preservation of my lungs. I enjoy weightlifting and basketball and have always felt that a good sativa narrows my focus enough to help me improve my body in ways I might not enjoy while worrying about other stresses in my life. So thanks for helping me with the decision!

One question--and apologies if there are neon arrows on the site pointing me to the answers: What are the primary recommended mods to increase efficiency with the Extreme Q? Is there a compiled list I might check out?

p.s. One odd bonus that I hadn't expected is that the Ebay seller I purchased from pre-assembled one of the collection bags for me. I sat down this morning ready to curse my way through it when I unwrapped it to find that no cursing was necessary.

Ended up breaking my glass mouth piece and my only glass part for bags lol.

I would like to upgrade my elbow/whip/bag/elbow packing and maybe a vaporizer mini bubblier thingy to pair with the extreme q. I am from vancouver canada so any suggestions with cheaper shipping/cost here would be appreciated.

SO what i have figured out... correct me if i am missing anything or better ideas. I love how reading this thread i realized parts from far more expensive vaporizers can be paired up with the extreme q to make it even better. This might not be the BEST vape but for the money and options you can play around with it really is neato.

Pair it with VapeXhale's "EZ LOAD BOWLS"

Will these two work together? It seems like a match made in heaven. It should Fit and be better then stock right?

I saw DDave's adapter+screen + SSV wand. I think the wand is really to dangerous for me i pass this between 2-4 people going on the whip. They will break/drop that wand so fast. the SSV unit is physically at the right angle to use that wand the extreme Q could be paired with it but seems like an accident waiting to happen.

AS for the DDave F/F 18mm replacement for the cyclone bowl. If i just upgrade the stuff listed above is it really worth it? I also saw that same video off youtube the guy files down his stock cyclone bowl, maybe thats a good cheapo option?



Ill do a separate post to gather my bag thoughts. I wish someone would make a web page with a quick overview of the best mods on a wiki or anything. Reading this thread takes so long and then finding parts and acronyms etc lol.

The pieces you choose above are all very nice additions to any EQ arsenal, definitely. With my mod, the performance comes from the adapter. With the Wand, the benefit I gained was ease of use. Elbow packing (either Arizer or SSV elbow) with the adapter will bring the performance too!

Please just take caution by whatever method you choose to mod the cyclone bowl or adapter portion of your glass setup. It's pretty tough to combust in a stock setup, with mods to the bowl, it becomes a bit easier!

hey guys I recieved my extreme q new replacement under the warranty. I didnt use my extreme q a year before sending it in with my solo for replacement units. So i wanted to know does anybody have any tips for when they use the bag? I ordered the pretied bags from arizer so there perfectly tied and thats how they came.

I ran out of MJ so I ran a nail down the wand to push out the golden goodness in the wand.......I don't like it! It gives us a terrible high that makes you angry. Has anyone else tried this. I put a dab on a cotton ball and vaped at 230. It rolls vape forever but it has really messed with my head. I don't think I will ever do this again.

This is my first post here I think..I got an Extreme Q recently, and it's a nice piece of equipment, but I too notice that the effects give me some irritability compared to smoking. Major bummer.

I don't blame the device at all and I think most people wouldn't have this problem but I think I can totally relate to Newcastle here. I wonder what the cause is--maybe the cannabinoid profiles that get released with a vape are really different to smoking? My only other vape experience was with a VaporGenie.
