I think it is possible bad - contact on battery, current drops and then Air is shutting down heating, I fixed this with extra negative connector, I used copper stripe. Solder in other side of pcb and negative connectorMy 2 year old Air was turning itself off on a full battery about a minute after reaching temp. Saw the following in this thread but it didn't work for me:
"Plug the charger into the wall outlet, Plug the charger into the AIR unit, press and hold both buttons for approximately 4 seconds wait for 10 seconds then unplug from charger. "
Emailed Arizer support and got this suggestion that did work:
"You may be able to reboot your Air unit. You can try removing the battery, plug in the unit for 30 seconds, unplug the unit, then re-insert the battery".
You are probably right. I eventually sent the unit in and they sent me a new one.I think it is possible bad - contact on battery, current drops and then Air is shutting down heating, I fixed this with extra negative connector, I used copper stripe. Solder in other side of pcb and negative connector
What up IV. Just saw this post and have a couple questions for ya.Sitting on the balcony watching the rain fall, can't say what made me pull out the Air.
Fired it up and loaded a stem, this vape still works the same as day one.
Can't say I've ever been truly in love with the vapor quality but it's surely a dependable, reliable device.
Always wished the bowl was smaller, as in, less depth; feel like if you could finish a load quicker that would be something. More like Vapcap sized bowls instead of .25g
I'm hip to the screen trick, but I feel like it impedes on some of the conduction from the sidewalls and the glass screen itself. I love the simplicity of brushing out the glass bowl instead of all the crumbs that make their way through a mesh screen.
This thread was pretty buried, so not sure anyone will ever see this stream of consciousness rant not a worry, carry on!!

How long was your session w/ a fully packed stem (no screen).
Are you temp stepping w/ your Air or are you going straight to a high temp and leaving it there until the sessions done.
Thanks dude! BTW, the 14mm Sand Castle looks like a fuckin' monster! The 18mm version scares me.
Questions for anyone with the Air 2.
1) How prescise is the temperature setting?
2) I have heard that it is difficult to draw through a bong. Is that true?
The reason for the temp accuracy has to do with research I want to do.There is actually a thread for the two
Arizer Air II
https://arizer.com Pic and some Info on their website homepage Looks like similar form factor OLED complete temp display. Potentially more powerful heater Comes in blue!fuckcombustion.com
But there is also the upcoming Air Max, I feel like it would make more sense to wait for that, even if you end up with the two it will be cheaper then??
Arizer Air MAX

I wouldn't focus too much on precise temperature by the way because it is always going to be pretty relative with any vape, and yeah there is quite a bit of draw restriction with these vapes in particular...

I have no clue how precise the temp setting is. I do notice a difference between the Solo and Air when both are supposed to be on the same temp. The Solo produces more and seems to be hotter vapor wise but that may not have anything to do with the temp setting and may be more related to the device's power output's ability to hold temp and the device's configuration near the oven. They look similar near the oven but the build on the Solo is more substantial, may retain heat better and is using two batteries instead of one.Questions for anyone with the Air 2.

Thanks for all the info. Makes sense. I see variability in the draw of the little G Pen Dash depending upon how it is packed.I have no clue how precise the temp setting is. The Solo at Level 7 and the Air at Level 5 is 410F
The Solo at Level 6 and the Air at Level 4 is 401F
The Solo at Level 5 is 393F and the Air at Level 3 is 392F
The Solo at Level 4 is 383F and the Air at Level 2 is 374F
My starting temp level on the Solo is level 4 (383F) and my starting temp level on the Air is level 3 (392F) and for me, they are equitable temps in terms of production so the Air needs a bit more heat to produce at the same level as the Solo. These are merely opinions and your mileage may vary.
Both the Solo and Air are known for having draw restriction. Please excuse the captain obvious statement here but depending on how packed the bowl is filled and how sticky the herb is will directly affect the draw restriction. When I fill the bowl lightly the restriction is negligible. Now to your question....I find that using the Solo and Air with a bong helps by creating more sucking/draw pressure without requiring the user to inhale harder to get that leg up. If I use the Solo/Air without my bong its a harder draw than when I use my bong.
Of course this is about the Air and not the Air 2 and I get the impression your interest is the digital display on the Air 2.
The draw resistance with Arizer vapes is problematic like @His_Highness mentioned. The slow weak heater on the Solo II was disappointing too and those two things combined made it one of the first vapes I gave away when I first became interested in vaping. You need to take twice as many wispy hits to get comparable extraction compared to the newer portables with more powerful on demand heaters. The flavor and effects were less impressive too but if you're mostly vaping cbd flower then it's less important I suppose. Thanks for all the info. Makes sense. I see variability in the draw of the little G Pen Dash depending upon how it is packed.
The Solo 2 as I recall does not have user access to the battery.
I am also considering the Mighty +. It might work for me. The e nano only has a dial marked 1 to 11 rather than specific temps.
Most people don't need to know the temperature I suspect. They just set the device up for their personal taste. I am interested in attempting a little research with the unit I get hence the interest in temp settings.
Yet another happy ending......I like happy endings.False alarm - I tried a new 18650 and it’s good as new!
