If you're sure it's 5VDC (center positive) you can use a razor blade or utility knife to slice a bit of the rubber off, if you look closely at the photo I posted above that the doughnut I sliced off the bottom one (it was like the center before) using the tape as a guide. I've done this mod several times, once it didn't work but all the rest were overmolded enough to allow trimming.

Just be careful about the voltages and polarity.

And yes, with either of those cables you can plug your air into your computer to charge. Always a nice option. And you can get something like this:

As stated just above your post, I will not be attempting a mod on the cable, as it is company property of the company I work for, though I thank you sincerely for your thoughts and ideas. I will wait for the cable to come through Amazon, or try my luck at Walmart.

Now am I crazy? I think he means planet of the vapes where the air is $169 USD with grinder and tightvac. Actually does seem legit but I would go with puffitup because he would probably match I think.
But maybe planetvape is lower over all because of exchange rate. $156 USD currently and I think PIU matches that.

Definitely my favorite portable. Like to use it at home just because it is just so convenient.

The other day I unscrewed the black plastic piece that shields the heating chamber. Beneath the heating chamber there appears to be brown tape of some sort. It is very thin. I was wondering if anyone knows what material it is made from?

Thank you. I won't be messing with it. I'm just very OCD and concerned with the safety of materials I'm vaping. My kapton tape appears to have little specks of bud all over it. It's must've been little specks that got through the chamber holes. If anyone knows anything else about the safety of the materials used I'd love to hear it to put my mind at ease. I know it's stainless steel and ceramic but I also heard there was some teflon too.

Hey guys! I finally tried my AA yesterday evening after returning from work and used less herb that it hough i needed. Really enjoyed it, the vape smell was interesting to say the least and really surprised me.

Also, im very happy that the unit barely smells during use which was my main concern. I used it outside and the smell didnt cling to my clothes nor my face.

Overall very happy with my purchase!

So true. The low to no odor factor of vaping (during and after) with the AA is one of its strongest features imo. I partook infrequently (2 or 3 x per week) as a toker. The smell was prohibitive. Found FC, got my hands on the AA and everything changed. Very little keeping me from indulging these days. Which is very very nice.

Indeed. Also the herb doesnt stick to the overn, it stays in the stem and makes for a very easy clean. I tested it with the 2 lowest temps and had a good time

Best not to let it touch the oven anyway, makes bad taste.

Really? I'm not so sure about that 'touch the metal and spoil the taste' idea. I've sure never noticed it and I've done a pretty large number of stems. The metal, in theory, is temperature regulated to a temperature (say 390F) where you get vapor and not burning (the whole idea of a vape). While the load typically fuses together and shrinks back a bit, for sure sometimes there's loose herb in the bottom of the oven left when the stem is pulled that obviously has been sitting on the floor of the oven for some time?

Any more than I think the (same general temperature) hot metal in VapMan spoils the excellent taste there. In VM that's clearly the way it's designed to work. Likewise MFLB.

Anyone else think herb accidentally (or even intentionally?) touching the hot oven causes 'bad taste'? Maybe I'm not paying enough attention? For sure I'm not afraid of it.

Sometimes when I pack a stem, some of the loose herb falls on the metal surface. I don't know about the taste, but when my AA heats up, it does give off a smell of previously vaped herb.

I think what that smell is is condensate inside the unit from prior use evaporating off with the heat, you don't even have to have a stem loaded to get some of that smell going? I'm also of the opinion that some strains are worse/better in this respect than others.

Yea, it's probably mostly the condensate evaporating, now that I think about it.

Not spoil the taste totally but i do find a more overcooked taste comes into play much sooner when there is contact with the oven.

It must be said.......I am a taste snob

Therefore my oven plate is always nice and shiny.

The use of 510 bubblers on these has been brought up plenty. I even gave it a try recently since considering those newer but more expensive bubbler stems. I surprisingly find it to be the only set up to effectively catch any bothersome particulate. I gotta admit i did not expect that at all, It does gunk up quick as result so it's going in just not through to me. I guess you have to use a E-juice mixing syringe to clean these. I just don't see any other way of cleaning, But yeah if you got particulate issues give this a go.

As I've posted a few times I clean mine in 'travel tubes' (like you get from PV to carry your stems and PBW.

5 minutes wash/soak with occasional inversion to mix stuff up followed by rinsing through the units (flush water through in the direction of the vapor flow and out the MP into the sink for a minute or two and I'm clean, filled, and ready to go.

And no ISO or salt.

For larger bubblers of the same general type, like this on on my ESV:

I use a larger screw top plastic bottle (like restaurants use for ketchup) instead (and a bit more PBW with the hot wash water of course.....

ISO works best for me, rarely needs cleaning as i don't let anything touch the plate.
Hold upside down just in-case any leaks in when u are using the ISO.
Really dirty ovens need some abrasion.

Make sure oven is cold. Get a tiny bit of magic eraser make it wet, then squeeze it to get the majority of the water off. I hold the air upside down to prevent any water going down the holes. Hold the ME with some tweezers and scrub the oven. I do mine once a month or so and it comes up perfect after 14 months or so of use!
