I busted out my Air the other night and damn the flavor and effect is exceptional. The herb goes a lot farther than with even more herb used in my other vaporizer. Stronger effect, and more flavor for longer. I love the thing. It is a fantastic vaporizer. The other night I fired it up while I was waxing my car. Very nice.

I guess I missed what the problem is.......

You're right of course, Air (and Solo) is an excellent piece of hardware for sure. A solid product, and a proven, well tested design. Tough combination to beat for sure.

Hopefully you'll be spending more 'quality time' together in the future?

I have been somewhat skeptical of the battery life with my Air but have been recording how many sessions I am getting on a battery (I have 2 x red & 1 x purple) the last couple days. I am getting on average 3 x red sessions & 3-4 white/green sessions per charge .

If I am honest the Air actually stops me from buying more vapes because it fits the bill so nicely for casual use.

Thanks for sharing. Too bad it's largely 'preaching to the choir', the guys that really need to hear and understand are wasting their time on lesser Forums.

No, it's a fraud. I bought one to find out, go ahead and waste your money if you want, they are clearly counterfeit. I have a couple posts on them on this thread, and on the 'counterfeit vapes' thread. The only thing worth having IMO is the stem. Their plastic cap has a metal insert and no gasket. It does fit the Air.

One issue with it I haven't reported yet (I'm going to try to put all the rest of the problems in a third and final post) is the battery cuts off (goes red and needs charging) when it hits about 3.7 Volts, meaning your get two, not four, sessions per charge.

So yes, you're missing something......doing your homework?

Your call, but IMO this is a 'sounds too good to be true' case, which it is.

Once again, the Kid is spot on! The kid is wise, pay attention.

Me posting this question was my attempt to do my homework. Thanks for filling me in.

Hey I just wanted to tell you that if you email Randy, he'll be willing to price match to bring the price down to around $155, with 2 day shipping full warranty. At that price, I think it's worth going with them

I did this literally yesterday haha.

That sounds like a great plan. Thank you.

@KidFated. thx too!

Also, when I place my order for the air are there any key accessories that I should grab?

Mod note: posts merged.

The AA's stock glass stem has finally ( or at least since Aug. when I got my AA ) made an appearance on eBay, for a few bucks less than Arizer sells it for & no shipping fee.

Definitely my stem of choice ... and that it can stand up on its own? All the better :-)

I gave mine away when i 1st got my air bc it did not fit , was super tight and can only be inserted when heated up. Thank you for the link as i am going to try 1 again now that my seals on my air have loosened up a bit since the stock stem is a favorite of mine.

Sorry for my absence guys... been going through lots of stuff lately, but my AA still doing right by me, and really the only vape I enjoy.
I'll be back to my normal self soon, sharing AA stories and techniques.

My latest strain is vaping so well in the AA, the better I prep, the longer my sessions, better taste, better effect. @OF, especially thank you for making me aware of getting the last 5 or 10% of moisture out, for me, and the way I vape that truly is the key to a super AA session.

Different strains certainly seem to work better with certain vapes. This weeks is working better with my Air, even better then the solo I think. My nano has gotten a little break, but with a new glass piece on the way, I'm sure the log will make a rapid return. The Air, turbo gong, pnwt, is such a nice combo though.

In reverse order, you're certainly welcome, glad it 'changed the game' for you. It's not the right sort of idea to keep a secret for sure. The right call now is to actively spread the word.

Secondly, glad you have your faithful Air at your side, as such you're a LONG way from unprepared nor under supported.

Sorry to hear about rough sledding, but gratified you're slugging alone.....we'll save you a seat at the liar's table.

Merry Christmas and best wishes for the future.

Game changer is quite accurate. I'm actually quite amazed at the giving nature of most of the friends I've made here. My life has been quite enriched by what I've learned and contributed. Merry Christamas and Happy Holidays to all my vape buds. I hope I can live up to the standard set here. Thanks all, good times ahead...

Cool. As long as we're on this topic, let's try to connect a few more dots? If we take this idea (basically 'fractional distillation') of removing an 'unwanted fraction' before the big show as step or so further along we can put a serious dent in the 'smell signature' of stealth use.

Terpenes, pleasant as they are, also make up most of the total smell. For instance, using a full size stem, fine grind, small hits, stirring between, you can strip 'all the taste' out quickly leaving plenty of the good stuff. "Partial ABV" if you will. Stash a gram or so of this for 'on the sly times'. Making it can be it's own special reward of course.

As for the fast crowd you've fallen in with, sad to say you're fitting in quite well. In fact, even now, we're setting you up your very own rubber room on this floor. We expect to be able to laugh and scratch with you for some time to come. Just don't let Ataxian near your glass. Forget the idea 'I can keep an eye on him', so far that hasn't worked out well for those who've tried it......

Best wishes to all, may we as Spock put it so well, "Live long, and prosper".

Decided to take the Air on a date to see the 10am Star Wars session this morning. Enjoying some time together in the car park surrounded by oblivious families Christmas shopping pre movie.

AA stealth, man. Underrated, but it's there.

Terpenes, pleasant as they are, also make up most of the total smell.

I know there are many out there that count more than I on the stuff that lies beneath the terps. And I definitely respect it and I see how well the AA takes care of you.
I'm keeping my terps, just the same. Thanks to the AA.

Hi everyone. A few months ago I bought an Arizer Air and its my first vape. Been using it everyday since, close to a battery per day and I feel like the black protection on top is getting way hotter than it was before (on the lowest temperature setting). I unscrewed that black protection and saw a lot of vaped herb inside of the AA.
Saw a lot of pages in this thread and I think its weird that I didnt find anyone talk about overheating or bits of herb under the heating chamber. If there was a tutorial on how to open this vape, like you see with the solo on youtube, I probably would have void warranty and open it to clean it. The truth is that if it happened in a few months, it will happen again.

My biggest problem is sending it for warranty since its my only vape and I live in Portugal (a friend of mine bought me this vape while on a trip in Toronto). In case I send it for warranty will there be shipping costs?

Any suggestions?

Why did you need to sent it in? Do not attempt to disassemble past unscrewing the cover. I'd pick/blow what debris I could, use it a bit more and clean it again. While it's not common to have debris build up, it does happen a bit (others have reported it). This is most likely conducting heat away from the over faster. The oven is not any hotter than before. It's not overheating unless the herb burns?

So, why were you going to send it in (probably not all that smart filled with cannabis dust?)?

My suggestion would be to get a backup vape, rather than tempting fate, going back to blazing is not a good option.

The stem is hotter than before and the cover is getting hotter than before. Already tried to pickup and blow the debris but couldnt get all of them, There are a few yellow transparent bits of tape (probably to make sure I didnt void warranty) that grab a lot of herbs.
I suspect that somewhere in there there's a part that senses temperature and that part might be affected by the debris. Which they should knew that would happen since there are holes on bottom of the heating chamber. Just spent 150€/220CAD on what it is supposed to be a great quality vaporizer and I need to spend more after a few months on another vape? That really sucks...

The stem and outside temperature don't matter (within reason) really, it's the temperature inside the load that matters, that's what Air tries to control. Adding (or removing) insulation in the outer walls of your house shouldn't effect the temperature inside since the thermostat will simply run more power to the heater to compensate. Same here. Not a good configuration, but not fatal.

If it's vaping normally, and it sounds like it is, it's working correctly no matter what the outside temperature is as far as it's concerned.

Don't mess with that 'yellow tape', it's Kapton (very tough, high temperature) and there for important reasons (protecting the wiring). This is one of the reasons you don't want to mess with opening it up, those wires are very easy to damage....even with the taps. The unit can fail if the tape is not correctly in place. They are not some sort of warranty indication but a critical part of the system. The temperature sensor is deep inside the oven assembly, 'thermally' very near the cup. This is the two smaller wires under the heater, the larger ones are the heater proper. It, as it should, senses the load not outside temperature.

You unit is no doubt no different than the rest of ours, which see only minor issues. Something about your technique may be responsible. I suggest a review of this thread. Debris should be going down those holes, as you've discovered it comes out the bottom of the oven and piles up on the works there. Smelling bad and robbing heat/power. Avoid loose herb on the face of the cup and for sure don't use the edge of the stem to grind it up and force it down the holes. And keep and eye below, blowing it out to avoid accumulations and you should be fine.

Having a backup is just sound thinking. There are no guarantees of no inconvenient failures. In fact it often invites them in a strange way. Guys with Crafty and Plenty (top of the line in many/most guys eyes, German made and costing many times what Air does) seem to be having out and out breakdowns at about the normal rate? It's a mater of numbers, if you have say two 95% reliable vapes instead of one instead of having fatal failure goes from five in 100 to one in a thousand. From once a month or more to every few years. Every serious vaper should have a backup. I think of a different type that's also fun to use in it's own right. Perhaps time to consider a VG or perhaps a personal favorite of mine, Vapman (Swiss made even). Both half the price of the Air and excellent vapes in their own right that don't need electricity.

Your call, of course, but were I you I'd be cleaning the Air not sending it in and thinking about a backup vape for the eventual time you really need one? It might take several passes to get enough of the debris out, the oven is probably packed below. Heat/cool cycles in use should help there. Also consider whole buds, 'hamster style', an extra flat screen or some of the other techniques discussed here to change the debris situation. It should not be happening but I don't see how that's the vape's fault.... I'm confident yours is not different enough to cause that.

Regards and best wishes.

First of all, thanks for your patience. A lot of respect for that ;)

I read in this forum that fine grinded herbs would improve the vaping experience, and that lifting the stem something like a milimetre would improve the draw resistence. Thats what might be causing this.
Never heard anyone talking about the cons of doing this.

Is there another portable electric vape with great vapor quality that you would recomend?

edit: Forgot to mention the ticking noise while warming up. Didnt happen in the first month.

thanks for all the help

If you are serious about not falling into bad habits and start combusting again a back up is a must. The Air is a very good portable that's made from a stellar company so I do have a lot of faith in their products. A portable isn't meant to be a daily driver if you use cannabis a lot.

I would suggest a plug in style log vape or if you want another portable what about the Arizer Solo? I often suggest that as a first vaporizer. It kinda big, it's about the size of a can of Red Bull but a very sturdy unit that gives excellent vapor taste. I have several units but I use my Solo, Air and my Enano the most.
