A better battery indicator and on/off/temp switch improvement would put this bad boy over the top, but it needs to stay SIMPLE.
MINOR ISSUES
Smaller stem bowl without having to use dome screen would making cleaning easier (no screens)
I love plastic tip stems, but hate dealing with the mini gasket and having to take this thing apart to clean. If the technology exists, make it one piece, permanently attached, just like the tip stem. I'd pay dearly for that.

No need to disassemble them if it's that important to you. Shift techniques. Try putting a couple (dirty and assembled) in a 'travel tube' from PV. Add a dash (say .25 to .5cc) of PBW and hot tap water then cap. Shake a few times over say 5 minutes and rinse.

Easy. Cheaper and safer than ISO. More eco friendly as well.

I been using the sleeve since day 1 when this vape came out. I always thought it may help retain heat a bit better. I could be wrong but i am kinda feeling like a change so i may go naked soon.

I use it all the time as well. I think it makes the Air more efficient (more heat is retained) and feels much nicer to hold, it's a must in wind or cold. Talk of overheating is nonsense, the Air knows what temp to maintain and it will do just that.

While I agree the air knows what temp to maintain and will do just that, IMO the talk I remember about overheating is far from nonsense, you said yourself "heat is retained" which I agree with, but where does that heat go? The electronics and battery? It has to go somewhere.

I'm not saying the bowl temp will go higher but rather the rest of the vape does, now is this enough to cause any issues, I don't know maybe not, but I do know extra heat is in gereral not good for electronics or batterys.

And just to clarify I am just talking about the unaltered sleeve, and should also add arizer say the sleeve causes no issues.

I miss the 390 degrees that the Solo has for temp 5 setting. I would like an AA that would have exact temperature settings that the owner could set themselves like the Ascent, somebody else mentioned that. Exact temperature settings + stealthiness would equal awesome.

I had stopped using the Air as my daily for a while but due to weed greed I have had to put the EQ away for a while. I made up a basket screen for each of my stems & am trying to get back to a less is more approach. Even though I can happily rip two of three GonG bowl packs in one 10 minute session & feel very satisfied.

On a search to purchase some "PBW" now.... I've lost a few gaskets and it drives Otis (my OCD alter ego) nuts... they are freakin' invisible on most surfaces, especially when wet.

[EDIT] Way too many search results, any advice on purchasing?
[EDIT/EDIT] BUY PBW ON AMAZON

And yes, being able to set session length would be sweet, but a better on off switch would be cool as well. What might also work is what the Mighty and Crafty incorporate. Even though they shut off in two minutes, any temp adjustment will keep extending that 2 minutes.

this is the second battery that the casing has been compromised right around the positive end. Last time I didn't realize it, and while putting in charger, it started to smoke. This time I noticed it before charging. There seems to be a weakness around the positive terminal, where the is a bit of a space under the casing that can be perforated rather easily (not solid underneath). Be careful here.

Is it worth trying to "re-insulate" with electric tape, as battery was purchased last month? Or is this just dangerous garbage as I suspect? And do you think you can preemptively tape new batts to cover potential weakness (IE: one thin, neat layer, just below end cap).

You'll never get it to fit in the AIR with tape.
Peel back the existing wrap and use some heat shrink.
Then again if it started to smoke its safer to replace as they are not too expensive
Not worth the chance in repairing IMHO.

Electrical tape will likely be too thick.
See if you can find some heat shrink for re-wrapping batteries.
Fasttech sell it, but delivery takes a while from china:

[EDIT/EDIT] BUY PBW ON AMAZON

Yep, Amazon is an attractive source. I bought my last jar there in fact.

You can also buy it (in smaller amounts often) at shops that sell home brewery supplies. Go figure, it was designed for brewery use (Coors paid for the development). A pound jar should last many years. Even giving the stuff to friends like I do.

The stuff is just shy of amazing. When 'the Oxygen action' gets going you can watch trails of bubbles (like in beer) rising from bits of junk on the glass they're trying to get under. Watch close, the offending bit ends up drifting off 'on it's own'. It's especially fun when they bring out the bong that's too nasty to use where someone can see (left over from that nasty blazing habit)......watch them, not the glass for the most fun as a spectator......

I doubt there's enough room for even thin electrical tape. You can cut the whole jacket off and get some of the very thin heatshrink factories use (I bought mine from All-Battery IIRC). Or use thick paint (I use fingernail polish, but don't tell anyone.....). Be sure to cover well, up onto solid jacket, so it won't continue to tear. Or, since your name includes brave, you can safely ignore it once in the Air since there's no metal in the battery well to make contact with that area. If it were mine, I'd load it and go (charging in place) but that is not without risk as soon as you take it out again. Then again, it's only ten bucks.......

Today I see I forgot my batteries in the charger. I left them in at least 10 hours. Did I cause any harm ?

If you used the factory charger it should not be a problem. Worst case you took a minor bit off the lifespan. That's not true for all 18650 chargers however. I've discarded a couple that did not not drop to zero current in the end, it seems they continue with a small current as part of their battery sense routine?

I ordered 2 more on puffitup (like $15 each with discount).
thanks friend, and tried electric tape, won't fit (you're right again). I can see it being okay if it just stays in there, but taking it in and out and putting on charger is what stressed it (I'm assuming). What about teflon tape (plumbing)?

Well, this arrived quicker than I expected! It's absolutely perfect as well. No crookedness, no raised spots on the tip. It's nice having 18mm joint so I dont have to use reducer, its a bit longer and with bumps that make pulling it out easier, the airflow is a bit higher, and this shorty version is the perfect size for the loads I normally pack. Very glad I chose turbo and shorty!
