I think this is how I will often use the Air with the bubbler, on max temp only.

That is the best way with water & the Air. You do really need a proper GonG to get the most out of the combo IMO. Just another way the Air is nice & versatile, add in the easy draw plastic tip for a perfect first vape introduction. I use green if I am using a stem or red if I am using water to keep it even simpler.

@Bravesst what a fantastic resource :). Is there some way that guide can be added to the first post of this thread & you should add a link to your signature. Especially if it will be an evolving manuscript on maximizing your Air's potential.

Is there a switch on the side of the charger? My 2 cell battery charger has a switch on the side that changes it between 3.2v and 3.6v (which turns out to charging the batteries to 3.7v and 4.2v respectively). I had accidentally flipped it to the 3.2 setting and it would only charge up to 3.7 volts instead of the usual 4.2. Had some fun figuring out why my ecig kept dying faster than normal ;)

I think that did the trick, no idea how the switch got moved over!

Hello everyone, I just purchased the arizer air on sale for $130 on hebestars.com. Upon getting it, everything was authentic, as i was hesitant to purchase from a different website other than arizer.

In the past I had owned around 2-3 solos, all of which put out great vapor and was probably the best vaporizer I owned, proving to be very reliable and solid.

I sold my solo to a friend a few months back before going back to college, now in recent weeks debating to buy a new one, I settled on the new air since I seen promising reviews that it would hold up to the "solo standard".

Enough backstory, lets get to the point. After receiving my air, I immediately ran it through a couple heat cycles, just as arizer suggests in the manual. Once done, i charged it to max battery (which took around 3 hours from almost empty). I loaded up the herb, turned the heat setting to green, and waited for it to heat. After heating it was getting warm, but as i was drawing on it (not hard) i had yet to feel real vapor come out, and instead was just puffing on warm air. I decided then to turn it up to red and see if there was a chance that it would start vaping. Nothing. At this point i was getting fairly frustrated, since I have never had an issue like this before with any of my other arizer vaporizers. I didnt give up at this point yet, I even loaded a fresh bowl, filling it fairly well to the brim of the stem. Let the air run on red for atleast 2 minutes before trying again. Nothing. Maybe a microscopic amount of vapor came out when i would puff and release on it, but nothing when i gave slow draws. Just hot air and no vapor.

I had gone out to my car for this and realized that it came with a silicone sleeve, which was said to help maintain the heat in the air, which makes sense. I didnt have it with me at the time, so i also tried covering the plastic grill with my hand to try and give the same effect. Nothing once more. Right now I am charging it again to full battery and will add the sleeve and try again later tonight. I wanted to post it now anyway and see if there was an issue that the air might have been having. Didn't have much luck looking online for solutions since it still is a fairly new vaporizer to the market. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Thank you.

medcap79 is right my friend get your unit replaced or just spend a few extra bucks and get the unit from arizer.com

@lukematty welcome to the forum. The sleeve shouldnt make a difference with the heating. I personally don't use mine.

We haven't seen very many faulty units but you may have one. If you still can't get it to heat up contact who you bought your unit from. I'm hoping your unit is authentic. If it is authentic and if the vendor won't honor the warranty Arizer will. The process is you contact who you bought your unit from first.

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. Good luck.

Thank you CarolKing, I read on the website that as long as the unit is in unused condition, they can refund the order. So I thoroughly cleaned out the stem and put everything back in the box as it was. Just waiting for the RMA to process, hopefully it will be an easy process, lol.

But out of impulse I went to aroma-tek to buy a black solo for $10 cheaper than the air. Bought one in the past with them, plus there was free 2-Day shipping on my order. Go figure on buying my 3rd solo! Never failed me and I hope this one won't either.

Can you provide a link? I can't seem to find the Air on their website.

:peace:
It was a fall sale they were having, they had 50 in stock to begin the sale and when I purchased mine I think there was only 7 left. I did buy this last Tuesday night so i'm guessing everyone took advantage of the great deal. It's a little upsetting to learn I probably have one of the few that arrived defective, I heard great reviews on it and was nice to know it was the same price as the solo, seemed like a great time to buy it. Oh well. If you want a good deal look for listings on eBay, they usually go for around $155-$160 depending on the listing, anything below that might raise flags for authenticity. Check for the seller rating, and how many they have sold and all that to confirm that it's a legit vendor. I had purchased a couple solo's from eBay and only one time had my solo became defective, but that was a manufactures problem with the old m102. The new solo this year is the m107, which I had no problem with whatsoever. Good luck vape hunting! Hopefully you don't run into problems such as the one I am currently dealing with.

Hey guys just a heads up don't order from hebestars.com they're selling the Air for 129.99 but I don't think it's real.

I bought it from them on eBay so I would have eBay buyer protection and paypal protection but after I ordered I went ahead and emailed them "If this is counterfeit don't even bother sending it because I will find out and get a refund."

Next time I log in to my eBay the order is canceled and I got a refund.

My take is a little different on the drying thing, but we all have our likes and what not, right? Makes the world go 'round.

I'm lucky; I currently have access to good bud. And taste is a big part of the joy of vaping for me. The AA is strong in this category, from my limited vape experience. If I were to dry to the point of little or no moisture, I'd be saying bye to some terps. I choose to keep them sitting pretty as can be and enjoy as many of them as possible as they're vapor going up that glass stem.

So just a little voice out there letting folks know that they don't have to be overly concerned with dryness. I'm sure it has its pros (and obviously you can't vape soggy weed), but my AA has handled some pretty sweet and sticky buds and shake without pre-drying. And its handled them quite well.

Amen my friend, this bad boy can work many ways...

@Stevenski Let's ask the forum monitors that question?

Let's not confuse the Dry / Shred / Dry / Shred (DSDS) concept as being absolutely necessary, or nearly as tedious as it sounds. DSDS bumps the AA up to almost corded power because of the more exposed surfaces that aren't ridden with H2O. It's a real quick process with the medtainer and a piece of copy paper, and you can prep a week in advance (store in the Medtainer , CVault, or a simple mason jar once herb is just right).

We need a "quick prep" method added to our guide.

FROM STORAGE CONTAINER TO VAPING IN 5 MINUTES
1. Dump full bud on piece of 8x11 copy paper
2. Leave out or put under a lamp for 2 minutes
3. Start up your AA, select white, orange, or green
4. Shred and dump out herb (on copy paper under lamp for 2 minutes)
5. Reshred, and pack stem
6. Load and wait about 30 seconds
7. Draw

Ask away. I can only see it as a good thing & would stop a lot of the same old questions that populate a goodly portion of this thread.

I have to say i am enjoying hitting the Air like a spliff of sorts this evening. I can say that ae i type this with one eye closed thanks to Arizers products.

Frank I wish I would have read your post before buying mine. Right off the bat when I opened my air the packaging seemed a tad off, but nothing I had noticed initially. Everything was in the box as it should except for the owners manual was on paper, and not the higher-quality laminated photo paper that Arizer usually uses in their packaging. Also, mostly all of the parts and accessories did not come with plastic wrap around them, and I could even tell that the stems MAY have been used in the past. They were smudged up and had a little residual specs on the inside of one of them. I had bought solos on eBay in the past and had NO problems whatsoever as far as authenticity of the vendor. Hebestars will get a bad review from me for now on, because I really do not picture myself buying from their website again, period. Absolutely unacceptable customer service, along with deception of an "authentic" product. Lesson to be learned folks, if the deal seems a little too good to be true, it mostly likely is. Even if Hebestars comes off as an authentic vendor for vaporizers and accessories, it's almost shocking to find that I was sent a bad unit. In conclusion vape enthusiasts, do not look for a good deal. Pay the average listed price on eBay from a reputable vendor, OR even fork out the extra cash to buy one from Arizer themselves. Last time I let the price of something influence my purchase.

.06, this continues to amaze me / at least 10 minutes, maybe 20, and at least 10 hits, maybe 20

AA manual update: http://kbgym.com/aa.pdf

One thing to add, though I haven't tested. Drying reduces weight not volume, so a z may wind up considerably under 28 grams. Ballpark guess, 25 grams. Test to follow.
I'll weigh a few buds before and after DSDS to come up with a percentage. Anyone else wanna give that a shot for the sake of science?

Had a couple friends stop by to use my vape setup (again) last night. They each brought their own stash, so we had 3 different strains to try. We vaped a stem of each individually, and then a couple mixed stems.

They were amazed by how much more you can distinguish the differences between the different types, especially taste-wise. The best/most expensive herb also provided noticeably more hits than the other two, so that was pretty cool to see such an evident difference and know that the cost is justifiable.

Good times. The only part that was kinda troublesome is now and then someone would have difficulty pulling the GonG stem out to clear, because it is so short, there isnt much to grab by, and what there is to grab onto usually gets pretty hot. This is something I definitely like more on the PV stems, the little bumps that make it easier to grip (in addition to making it less likely to roll off a desk). There is also a slightly uneven raised spot on the tip of the stem, so it doesnt sit flat in the vape and kinda wiggles around. Other than that, it works pretty great! Good for the price, and glad they have a steady stock and faster shipping from US seller. Still lookin forward to my PV delivery tho.

Calm Consistency
Faster Heatup, LED screen with temp control would be the coolest feature imo, (price is pretty damn good for a portable CURRENTLY imo), more pockets for stems in the belt clip, I would love to have 4 or so packed up. 6 seshes+ per battery instead of 4 would be great

one lower temp setting (338F / 170C ?)

and

as great as the Air looks, it's too darn slippery ... a little bit of texture somehow ?

I use the sleeve 24/7, except for when I want to see the Air in all it's naked splendor (once every month or two :-)

By turning the sleeve upside down, and then cutting what was originally the bottom, the battery cap is always accessible and the front button and lights are as well ... the rear charging port is, however, blocked in this modification.
I have two sleeves ... one for summer and one for winter (the black summer one is in hiding, so I used the white one for demo purposes :-)
