Even if you "vaporstep"? I cant start on anything past blue otherwise I cough a ton. But I go through blue until I get wispy hits, then go up a level all the way through red.

Look what I worked out with a piece of an old cycle wheel inner tube. I miss two things from the Ascent, one is the convenient way to carry the mini-tool (the other is the retractable tube) and decided to imitate it. Imo all together does the job, what do you think?

Very creative! I have used inner tubes (AKA Ranger Bands) A lot. They are very useful. Especially on knives/shovels/rakes etc.
I have the black skin but dont use it... Simply because it makes getting it in and out of the pouch sheath a PITA...
I have some of that vinyl camo stuff used to wrap firearms and cars.. I thought about using some on the Air but not going up to the heater... stopping right before it or something.... Maybe ill try it eventually.
There is different styles and colors but i think it would look pretty cool done up in this... Of course it wouldnt be as stealthy unless you were in the woods or something LOL.. But the stuff is easy to use and removes without any residue or anything so.... Maybe.
I couldnt resist and went ahead and ordered a straight turbo stem while i wait on the vortex.... So im sure the Vortex stems will be back in the next couple hours now HAHAHA

Hi, it's the first beta version made with an old and regular tube, the stable version will be betterNice. I, too, have used bike inner tubes on various Vapes for grip, and stability. Are you using a racing tube?
How did you punch out the elongated opening?
And the long opening is done simply bending the tube flat and gently cutting the edge with scissors 
A collateral effect, the slightly bump of the mini-tool prevents altogether to roll down

Earlier I said the Nitecore D4 charged 2 batteries in 1.5-2 hours but I was mistaken it's actually around 3 hours. Sorry.

Hello everybody,
I'm a very happy solo user but ever since the air has come out if have been slightly jealous. As I read and watch reviews the air looks like a really solid unit but I'm still not sold. If I had the ability to sell my solo for the price of the air should I do it? Or should I stick with the solo, what do you guys think? Also is there anything worse about the air compared to the solo?

I don't have a solo, But the Air only get's about an hour of battery life, It can't really do concentrate like people claim the solo can, And the Air supposedly has more resistance, But i really don't notice much a difference between the the stock air and stock solo stem, This is only based on use in the Air tho.

Solo and Air are very similar , if you purchased the air you get the ability to purchase extra batteries and have as much run time as you'd like depending on how many batteries you purchase , so that's a plus you will get more sessions than solo with extra batteries. The draw is very similar to solo , no big difference there. i actually feel my air gives a bit of a better draw imo. You will get a few less temp presets with the air vs solo but i feel arizer programmed the air with the perfect temp settings for me. I don't think it is something you will miss. Also air is obv. smaller , more portable. The heater from what i have heard is same as the solo. Air wins for me , swapping batteries on the fly is a huge bonus and what i look for in a portable , stealth also. This all really comes down to what you need and what suits you best.

It would really depend on what you were looking for in a portable? I love my Solo and I also have the Air. It comes down to personal preference I think. I've heard folks that have both units say they like the Air more and I've heard people say they like the Solo more. The Solo can be bought for way less than the price of the Air.
I would say if you are looking for a stealth vaporizer go with the Air. If stealth doesn't matter go with the Solo. The Solo has been around for awhile so it's been proven over time. I happen to prefer using the Solo if I'm at home. I use the Air if I'm on the go and need to medicate.
Either vaporizer does the job, it just depends on your needs.

Saw this mod and broke out the Dremel and diamond bits and made a DIY PVHES out of the Air Aromatube. Works freakin' great.

Going with puffitup for $19 less seems like a no brainer.
In other news my efest LUC V4 came in today and I really like it. I think its the right balance of performance and good price. Its not a cheapie but for alittle more than the cheapest options, $22 seems well worth it.
I will keep testing but so far I am getting:
Charged in arizer air
4.17V
4.18V
Charged in V4:
4.20V
4.18V
So it seems to be charging to the same or even slightly better than stock charger. Very impressive. Also very convenient, I charged 3 batteries in no time at 1A each.

I already ordered the PVHES though. Expected delivery next Thursday. By then the Vortex "MAY" be back.... Man im going to have to build a stand for all the tips and stuff LOL

@steama, just realized the long line, "veins", is needed, facilitating airflow. That, IMO, is the one "flaw" in the Arizer models. Snug as a bug, the stems, Pressed against the heating surface restricts
the draw. Arizer should take notice, to make a good product better.
Thank you for the DIY link! (I had been thinking of using a thick cutting wheel for the notches instead of a diamond tip, more precision, IMO.)
