Discontinued Splinter Z by RBT

Sorry if this is a bit of a dead horse, but is the only difference between the v1 and v2 splinter Zs the wood type? I know in the normal splinter there was the mica thing, but not sure with the Z!

I believe the Z has the Zion heater and V1, V2 have the Milaana heaters

Only difference between these two is the wood. Z1 is Bubinga, Z2 is Blackwood. Z2 stems are also smoked where the Z1 is clear.

I have a lot of grinding pieces that came with the dremel machine..and as I lost the paper with specs so I checked some of them and I decided the most suitable was one that have the same Green color that the one you have pointed.. So probably is silicon carbide.

Stock software is fine, check out the other threads here for more mod software talk. Just use stock with wattage and you'll be fine to get started

I had success using diamond coated cutting discs, but using them to slowly grind the glass with the sides of the disc, not trying to cut it using the knife edge. Proceeding slowly under running water it wasn't too difficult.

Not me, man. If I had a glass key I might try cutting a stem and annealing the edge, but I would NOT sand glass or cut it with a dremel or other spinning cutter. Just not my thing and I don't have proper safety goggles, gloves or face mask. I'd rather pay a few bucks to have someone else do it. I have a couple of DDave's wands I hope to cut and use again some time.

Same thing happened to my PH Z I purchased over 420. Quick turnaround w/ the repair sent directly to RBT. Definitely noticed a difference in how much adhesive was used the second time around but so far no smells/loosening.

Not sure exactly but I bought it over the 4/20 weekend, got it a week later, shipped it out on a Tuesday, it was delivered Thursday and back in my hands Monday. I was surprised at how quick it was and it was the same exact Z I sent in so it wasn't replaced. In any case, still very satisfied with the Z. Sorry you haven't heard back!

I got myself the Splinter Z and the Wismec RX Gen3 dual mod, but I can't get it to work. I have the my_evic software installed, but it's not heating at all. Any advice? My guess is is either the mod is incorrectly set or the Splinter Z is DOA. I'm totally new to mods, so hoping it's some rookie mistake.

Hey guys! I have a question for you. What would be the best way to get the oil out of a XL8R stem in a form that I can vape? I use Q-tips but they of course don't get all the nooks and crannies.

What is the measured resistance showing on your Mod of your Splinter Z? What temperature do you have set? Remember these temperatures are arrived at from calculations derived from assumptions based upon a change in resistance, in other words they are not thermometer accurate, but will give you a way to measure and repeat a desired result at a. later date. Have you tried just wattage mode yet?
