So when the stem is in a container, what do you guys use to keep debris out of the heater when keeping the unit say in a coat pocket
TrulyThere is a shocking amount of power and versatility available with the Splinter, especially compared to a vape like the Mighty, honestly these mod powered vapes are the latest technology in our portable world.
Cork sounds good. Thanks! The screen should be enough to protect the heater. For extra care though, a cork works well, I have an 19/22mm tapered one from Alan. I bet Delta3D could make something good too...
I’m a Long time milanna user.
Just got my “u.s made” splinter z. Getting huge clouds at 24 watts on a Rdna 40. Love things thing!! How do you guys feel bout “China made” splinters. I was thinking bout getting a splinter v2 for more of a compact on the go use.
Are they made in China? Or are they just parts from China put together by Ryan?
V1 and v2 are made completely in China is what I was told by the rbt retailers. And that the quality is good. I trust Ryan, All of my rbt were made in the u.s.From my understanding the V1 and 2 are manufactured in China but assembled in the US for quality control until Ryan feels confident enough to move production entirely to China while he focuses on exotic models and other projects.
See the china models are out. Anyone running them on the FC share files?
Never had that problem with rbt. Is it a China model? Ryan’s got great customer service, but I believe all customer services is done through the retailer now? I’m probably wrong.Hi together, I just received my Splinter Z from vapefiend (unbelievably quick delivery btw) and I quickly realized, that the glass lining inside the Splinter was really loose, it even slid out completely and rattled. I quickly put the glass lining back in place and it is hopefully secure now. I was just wondering if someone had this problem already and if it could develop into a problem later on?

Thanks for your quick reply.
I think it is now quite secure in place, but I just want to make sure it won't be a problem down the road. I'm not in a hurry anyway, as I'm waiting for my box mod to arrive
The glass should be securely glued in place & not move. Have VF make an exchange.
Thanks for your advice. VF already emailed back and I'm going to send it back tomorrow, the support from VF is outstanding! Hopefully next week I'll have it back, really excited to try the Z.
Edit: I thought I read somewhere, that you can use the XL8R stem on the tubo but cannot find it anymore. Could anyone confirm that?
All XLR8Rs are 19/19 regardless of if they are made in the US or China. Some of them also say 19x19 in the description do you should be good. I think they’re all (most) the “standard” size
