So I took the ceramic heating element, slowly pulled it up and centered it a little bit. Replaced the SG heater cover. The heating element touched the top of the glass. Used your suggestion @Dreamerr, and used the pick to moved it down slightly. Had to do this process twice to get it perfect. Then the SSV is no longer working. Light turning on, no glow, no heat. Unscrewed the base, and a plastic connection had come apart. Connected the pieces, screwed the base back on, VOILA! It's working. Packed a loose wand, max temp for 2.5 min, turned it down to 1 o clock, BOOM! Big clouds, great performance, my ABV is now a darker brown and even. Jackpot.

For the record I just said to use the pic to see if there is clearance not push with it. I am glad it all got fixed and the heating element is now where it belongs. The best thing that came out of this now you know why we all love our ssv's. As you learn to use it and do different things with it you will love it even more. Good luck playing it is fun and all for :science:.

Thanks! I saw in the video them adjusting the heating element with a tool, so i figured it would be alright :) Amazing what a small difference in alignment made in the heat flow and the performance.

Hi guys does anybody double screen their wands? I notice some material getting through the mouthpiece occasionally. I'm not sure how I'd double them dont even know how to replace them yet but should figure it out soon enough. I also want to try the EQ bowl screen mod just asked in that thread where to purchase those....maybe can use one of those and then the normal SSV screen making it double?

Try it to see if it generates enough heat

Chopsticks work pretty well for replacing screens

Has anyone figured out how to achieve all glass vapor path? Maybe glass sherlock attached to the wand?

An lsv wand would do the trick, especially if you could bend/curve one.

edit: but only with the standard ground glass (or lsv/dbv) heater cover!

On the straight up version, I used LSV Heater cover and long transfer wand.
The one straight out is the long transfer wand paired with either an SSV Hands free HC or a DBV HC.

Hey @Vitolo , how possible do you think it is to combine a SSV, with an lsv heater cover and then an male to male adaptor and a hydrotube? would be cool to turn the ssv into a kind of vapexhale cloud, i dont see why this wouldnt work but you have the experience so i figured id ask first.

There's no reason you couldn't do it.

It might be a bit awkward since you'd have either
A) the hydratube at an angle, or
B) holding the ssv in one hand and the hydratube in the other,

But the pairing would definitely work.

How about using an angled adapter? I thougt about getting an 45° for my DBV for use with a direct draw adapter.

mmm the angle on the ssv isnt very extreme, i thought it might actually be better as it will tip it (bong) towards you but i guess with a hydrotube the water angle might cavitate the high sides perc hole. If that makes sense. Hmm, i think i will give it a try in the coming weeks when i have the cash and report back.

EDIT: so ive been doing some reading of the lsv forum, seems the heater cover is 18mm but you can use a 14mm joint in it? the pinnicle hydrotube is the only one i can easily get due to living in australia, i belive its a 14mm joint size, i have found some bent and straight adaptors, i might buy both and see what happens, its hard to estimate the bend and if it would point staight up when combined with the ssv's angle.

This is my plan...

That should all work eh? i rkn i will use extremeQ elbow bowls, upside down in the male to male for loading.

Hello everybody, I'm a 2 years vaporist from Italy.
I'm a proud Silver Surfer user and I also got a Solo, lately I was looking for an attachable water tool and browsing reddit I discover that the Pinnacle Water Tool is compatible with SS tubing.
5WXKldp.jpg

(It's a Da Buddha but you all know it use the same tubing).
I was very excited to buy it, but then I found that the only shop in Europe that sell Pinnacle is http://verdampftnochmal.de, I bought from them one year ago and they were very fast and reliable, but now I'm sending them emails since a week asking if they sell the water tool alone or only with Pinnacle and they are not answering anymore.
Then I went trough some more reading and I found out that the Vi-Vape got a "Aqua Vape" which comes in two sizes: small and large -> http://verdampftnochmal.de/products/en/vaporizer-parts-supplies/vivape/vivape-aqua-vape-large.html
Has anyone tried it with a silver surfer tubing?
Do you know a place here in Europe where I can find one of those water tools?
Thanks in advance and sorry for my poor english, I'm still learning ;)

Might be safer with a dbv instead.
Your question.....
@grokit gives my answer!
OR...
during the actual use with water tower.... do the OPPOSITE of what many DBV owners do to approximate SSV angle... and use something like this to lean your SSV straight up!
