I use the Plenty when I am sharing with friends. I like to keep my Crafty and Mighty as personal devices. It is super fun loading this huge bowl up and setting it on full blast and passing it around. This thing hits so hard when you know how to do it. We like to "make it whistle" to get huge clouds out of it. I'm sure any other plenty users know what I am talking about. Mine is about 5 years old now but still works like brand new. I was disappointed when Troy reviewed it since he clearly had no idea what he was doing and dubbed it a bad device. If you know how to work the switch and keep it going, you can get giant hits that the Crafty and Mighty can't even come close to.

Hey FC community I am finally saying goodbye to my long time friend the Plenty vape.

Before I sell this I need to clean it as perfect I as I can possibly get it so I took a few pics!

I’ve always known for a couple years of the metal dust that forms at the top heater of the plenty due to the constant contact of the bowl to heater over n over again.

I’ve read the Volcano hybrid was doing the same thing upon release and Storz-Bickel REVISED IT with I believe to be some type of coated ceramic to reduce the grinding and wear on the heater. (very similar to the Plenty heater where the bowl sits atop the heater)

Man o man the Plenty is a BEAST of a vape!
When you fill the bowl it’s has the craziest punch of terpenes (because of huge bowl) and long lasting sessions can have you staring at the wall for a few mins haha

It saddens me that Storz-Bickel has not updated or show any love to Plenty owners, i feel like a they owe the Plenty an update where Storz-Bickel offers a ceramic heater top/coated bowl. i own the Volcano classic too would they take care of me now?

The rise of ball vapes has taken me :) the Plenty vape was a good one!

My plenty has a serial nr 856 - so probably 16 year old, yeah there are some scratches on the lumininum - but the weight loss in dust is still way below 0.1g after thousands of opening and closings
I'm still somehow alive and just medium brain fucked without those large bowls

Isopropyl Alcohol will get your Plenty tarted up, the scratches on the heater mating surface are a different story though. You may get it looking a bit better with some really fine sandpaper.
I wouldn't disturb that aluminum oxide layer, scratched or not they are 'worn in' as is - it's a bit like a brooks bicycle leather saddle, it needs to be driven a while to get comfy

I would look at it like those brooks leather saddles - they often sell for more when they are worn in than new, bc it takes some time and 'butt effort' to break and wear in lol

My Plenty self-modified itself by sheer will power alone.

Back story:
Bought a Plenty in Dec 2020. After a year or so it broke (flashing light - known problem after I researched it), returned for a replacement. (For various reasons there were problems in sending my original one back so I was told to keep it.) After a year Plenty#2 broke, same problem; returned/replaced. ... This happened again ... I received Plenty#4 July 2024. I still own Plenty#1 and was always hoping to fix and modify it.

When I received Plenty#4 I was a little disappointed because it didn't feel like it was reaching max temp, or it was just hitting it but the temp would drop quickly. The reading was showing just into the red, so I guess very accurate, especially compared to my previous ones. But at the same time this is one of the main reasons I like the Plenty, in that it it never goes over the max temp, never gives a "foul" taste, and is totally consistant in it's vapour deliverance. Within a few weeks, however, this problem went away and it then felt like the perfect Plenty. And I was then tempted to modify Plenty#1, and use that mostly, with Plenty#4 as a perfect backup or one to lend out.

I spent about a month contemplating the mod; I knew which part to get, etc., and looked forward to some tweeking. (I have 101 things like this on a to-do list!)

Then, one day, vaping on the Plenty, I noticed a foul taste. (I predominately use capsules and come in at 5.5 on the dial, and will finish off at 7.) The dial was at 5.5, but the reading was at around the last part of the red section. So I dialled it back to 4.5, it now read where it used to; just into the red. Over a few days of use I had to keep dialling it back a bit more; I now come in at 2 to 2.5 to get the same results I did at 5.5. I finish near 4, but that is a little hot, It's better pulled through water, I'll get into that more.

Okay, so It is clearly defective, but I found it odd, and amusing, that whilst I was contemplating modifying Plenty#1, my Plenty#4 became defective but operates like how I expected Plenty#1 to be modified to!

For me the average lifespan of a Plenty is 1 year, so I do expect the flashing light to appear at some stage, and for that reason I haven't contacted S&B yet. But for now I have self-modified Plenty!

btw, If I set the dial to 7 then the reading has gone into the "I" of Bickel. (I don't use that setting, temp is very high.) But for several weeks now I've wondered it would ever read the six o'clock mark. Yesterday I set it to 7 and took a photo of the reading; almost there! :)

I don't yet know how to upload images to this forum, it appears to be unconventional; the "insert image" function won't accept the URLs I have given it.

My bet is that you live in a remote area and other than shipping issues your Plentys don't like the electrical system of your house, that's perhaps very peculiar, and make the vapes crash after some time of use.

I wouldn't advise gambling; clearly you'd loose. ;)
