Do they come back down in resistance tightening the screws down some?
I actually just turned it back on to check and the resistance is back to where it has been, 0.22. Is there a wattage I should go no higher than? I have the non-standard Kanthals you shipped on the early ones.

I was walking out the door to ikea when i got mine. So far i like it. Im using the coils that it came with right now but i am gonna use the hexcore 7 wrap coils from AVS eventually. I just want to get wattage mode down so if im trying to convert friends i can walk them through it better.

55 watts is the max I'd go without shortening their life, but you can get away with higher if you're pulling fast

Yeah, before I started playing with preheat 52 watts was the highest I’d gone. I’m going to keep preheat off and just play with draw speed between 40-50. I love this thing, really. The taste is great, I’m getting big clouds, and I’ve run it through a 10mm nano bong I bought for use with my Vapcap. I can see an OG in my future. This is really the battery powered on demand microdosing device I’ve been looking for.

Just for shits and giggles I tightened the screws a bit (only 2 of them could even be tightened,) and it had no effect on the resistance. It stayed at 0.22, where the coils have been since I got it.

I think you're totally fine then

Went through a couple bowls last night. I'm getting un even scorching at 30w with water. Are the stock coils supposed to glow?

you click FIRE too much before draw? how much seconds do u hold it?

Yes the coils will glow and possibly slow down your draw a bit to avoid the scorching. The stempod likes a slow and steady draw.
I will try slowing down I think I was going fast thinking that since the coils are glowing I'd need a faster draw to cool it down. Lmao

I use auto fire so I don't hold the button, but they glow pretty quickly.

30w is too high for autofire IME. haven't tried autofire with the StemPod but with my iHeat I run autofure at 11-15w. Normally vape the stempod on the aegis 200w with the recommended TCR settings from MPL at 60w with stock coils with even roasting for the most part with them properly spaced.

I was taking a couple hits last night at at about 45w and I noticed the resistance of the Kanthal coils going to about 0.28 during heating from about 0.22 when cold, which is where they were when I got them. Is a rise in resistance during heating normal, or have I actually wrecked my coils?

Changing the heat of the coil alters the resistance momentarily.

Thank you. Now I just have to figure out why my Espion 200W running Red Panda shuts itself off whenever I fire for the shutoff time (10 sec). Can’t find anything in the manual.

Funny, I have noticed that in my eLeaf Invoke running stock firmware.

I think that's a safety feature in case you fire the mod in your pocket or somewhere accidentally.
Have a look for puff and cut off in the advanced section of the menu

i noticed the joint on the mouth piece is shorter than the WPA. The mouth piece just almost fits my splinter but the wpa isnt even close. Both fit my stempod si though.

For anyone (@supershredderdan) who does IG, 420 vape zone has 2 streams up in his story, done like 6 hours apart. If you scroll through the 1st stream it will roll into the 2nd stream where Troy is wearing a blue T. After the intro, he uses the si through most of the stream & does a thorough presentation, illustrating its design. Best review I have seen on the Stempod design. Up close & personal. Definitely worth watching -- if you can catch it while it's posted.
