I still stir. Just take the EQ screen off the end real quick, stir, and replace. You can also just shake the adapter a bit to move things around inside.

waiting on my gong. I planned on using the EQ and the screen in the adapter just like you. Really excited. Just need the GonG now.

So my PNWT came in yesterday. Managed to use it without the M2M adapter by using my 14mm WPA. I made a makeshift capsule to store the herb out of two screens. I got some very thin vapor, but I'm expecting that to change once the adapter and domed screens arrive. They were delivered today to my apartment, but I'm actually out of town for the weekend. Looks like I'll have to wait until Monday to use it properly :\

Welp my LSV finally bit the dust today. Lasted a good 6-7 months, I knew that there was something wrong on the inside of the unit because I've had to adjust the element/power cord a few times when it's lost power randomly. Now it's completely dead, no amount of fiddling will get my orange glow back. Have emailed 7th floor to organize it to be sent in, hopefully I get a fully QA'd unit.

I'll probably have to pay for shipping, huh? Gonna suck not being able to use my LSV for a few weeks. :(

You're an Aussie right?

Aus post shipping is unfortunately a rip-off, but yeah, you'll need to pay for return shipping.

7th floor will cover the shipping back to you though :).

When I had to ship my silver one back, they told me to remove all glass pieces, so I sent it back without the heater cover on, and the one I got back had a heater cover on it.

I can't remember if they offered, or I asked, but I also remember getting a WPA thrown in to offset my shipping a bit.

My cord on my black one just fried :(
I'm pretty sure it's a relatively simple fix, just need to chop out the short but of cord that shorted out.
I'm pretty sure they will require me to ship it back though.

Luckily I've sill got my silver one running strong, so no lack of LSV while it gets repaired.

Yeah, I'm in WA.

Hope they throw in a new heater cover also, the one I have is a bit misshapen.
Do you remember how long it took for you to get back?

I'm pretty sure their turnaround was quick, but I can't remember precisely.

I kinda just posted it off and forgot about it, and got nicely surprised when I got my tracking number when they sent it back.

I always assume 10 business days minimum for international postings (each way), so I'd be expecting approx 4 weeks + their turnaround time

I often get packages quicker than that, quickest I've received was like 2 or 3 days, but if I figure approx 10 is a nice conservative estimate so I don't get all anxious waiting for a package to arrive...

Kinda a watched pot never boils thing
I've started calling it postage zen

Have you got any backup vapes to hold you over in the meantime?

Man, Aus post is ridiculous. No way am I paying $35 for a 1kg padded postage bag..

You think I could just send it back in the box the LSV came in, just wrap it up so it doesn't shake around? Or do I have to use Aus post's packaging?

I gave my EQ to my mum, she uses it for essential oils and the occasional toke. Luckily I can just use that until my LSV is repaired. :)

In my experience with Australia Post it is always cheaper to use a prepaid bag or box than to use your own custom size box unless the item is very light.

Yeah, you can use your own box, just go in to the post office and they'll weigh it up an calculate the postage for you, but it will be more than the pre-paid bags.

I've had to pay up to $60 to send some of my glass pieces to the US...

Hi
Can anyone recommend a good site to buy LSV....also links to some water accessories setup ...

Thanks

We're here to fuck shit up.
I bought directly from the LSV website. As far as water accessories, I'm not really sure what you mean. You can buy the water pipe adapters on the website. If you are looking for a piece of glass to pair it with... Hell, take your choice of pretty much anything out there.

Pretty disappointed, been in contact with 7th floor and they want me to pay the return shipping also, which is ~$60, so all up it'll cost me close to $100 in shipping fees to get my LSV fixed..

I don't know where you are from so I don't know what the cheapest would be for you. A cheap setup is the LSV, a male to male ground glass adapter, a screen for the adapter, and an inexpensive glass piece (check the cheap high quality bubbler thread in the Glass sub forum).

Thanks once again for ur reply...I am in India, but one my friend is in CT,USA.... He is supposed to take a flight back on 26th morning, that's y I was interested in getting LSV with all tools at one go only...
This is the reason I wanted a few links, as I am a bloody noob as far as vaporizers r concerned...

Bought an EQ elbow for my LSV for whip use. Works well, although it didn't occur to me to dial back the temp since the load would be closer to the heater.

I've also noticed that the LSV has a more direct heat path compared to my old DBV. I'm thinking this has to do with the draw riding up the heater core directly into the load, rather than making a 90 degree turn and diffusing the path. I prefer the DBVs air path for this reason, but the LSV reigns supreme in other ways :)

I do wish the EQ elbow used a normal screen set back further into the joint.. I can imagine myself spilling herbs everywhere trying to stir the load.

Can anyone recommend a whip elbow that has a more standard screen? Everything I've come across does not accommodate a screen.

I ordered a 14mm male to male adapter, planning on using it for the Pinnacle Watertool, but I've been using it more as my dedicated WPA for the recycler. I was using the long variation of the official WPA before and even added a second screen closed to the top, but never was able to get thick milky hits. Now this thing rips! Guess I found my problem

Who did you talk to at 7th? I was told they have an authorized shop in AUS that handles repairs...

If you are confident in your abilities, you can purchase the parts and do it yourself. I bet even 7th floor would help you considering your situation. The internals are super simple. Power goes to the switch, which goes to heating element. I am over simplifying, but not much. It voids your warranty, but considering postage alone, it might be irrelevant to you?

I've been talking to Chris from 7th floor customer care. He has not mentioned anything about a place in Aus that handles repairs. He won't negotiate the shipping and seems to just ignore my questions about other Australian customers having their shipping costs covered.

I sent them an email over the weekend asking to negotiate the $60 shipping, as surely there is some sort of standard $25-$35 shipping available, telling them that what if this were to happen again in a few months then I'd be out of pocket the total cost of my LSV, and that I've always read good things about 7th floor and their customer service and that I felt I wasn't being given the same treatment.

He just replied with this: "We can't do anything about shipping. This is the charge provided by USPS. You are paying only for return shipping. We have looked into other options but the charges are all relative. You will receive a new heater cover with the repair, but there is nothing else we can do. "

Perhaps I should have bought my LSV from an Aus retailer, dealing with this shit has put a real sour taste in my mouth. If it ever breaks again I think I'll try repair it myself or just move on to a new vaporizer.

I feel for you Throwie, I worried about this exact situation when I bought my lsv. Everyone who buys a vape manufactured out of country takes this risk.

So it's been about 2 weeks but I finally got a suitable reply today. I sent an email to a higher up 7th floor employee who used to post here, and he has sorted it out for me. He said the incident I referred to where the Aus customer had his shipping paid for was during a period when they had a 'known issue' with the LSV cords and were repairing and shipping them back for free. Even though that period has expired he has made an exception and will cover the return costs.

Seems to me like this cord issue is still very much a problem, as I only bought my LSV 6 months ago and upon it's arrival I had to adjust the element as well as fiddle with the power cord frequently to get it to work properly. I hope they redesign their cords in the future as I don't think the current strain relief does very much of anything.

I bought mine about a year ago. It has been flawless until tonight and it wouldn't power up I sent 7th floor a message we will see how it goes. Hope they repair it quickly.

Interesting, I bought mine about a year ago and it stopped working a night before yours. I think mine has a blown element though, since the led turns on.
