This looks pretty awesome. I will keep an eye on this.
What temp are you using for the Wand with a DV?So I bought this mainly to use with my dynavap. Let me say that it works amazing as an induction heater. Full extraction in one hit through water because I can feather the wand after the click, something I can't do with the Flux deluxe.
I think the wand might be the most complete induction heater currently on the market (USB-C charging, replaceable batteries, temperature control, ability to use while taking a hit) at a hell of a good price.
I'm still playing around with different settings. I get very dense clouds and coffee colored ABV at 450 degrees F. I think at 450 F, it most closely represents a low single flame torch. For more flavorful hits, I like it at 550 - 600 F.What temp are you using for the Wand with a DV?
YES!!! Love!!!A quick question to you all, has anyone tried our WAND with the Dyna vape?
Sorry but I still not received my new camera, my phone's pictures are crappy and my old camera is dead. Just above the up and down buttons there is a switch which permits to select the mode you want. In flower mode you only have 4 settings (1 star to 4 stars), the low setting is the one I use with my VapCaps.@PPN Mine only haves power button and up and down. I see oil symbol on screen. Is there a way to access flower mode. Can you post pic of switch your talking about? Mine unit starts at 250F-800F. Their site says wand is 450F-800F
I agree this thing is best with dynavap
Oh yes you are right I wanted to say the new caps (since 2020) have different specifications and it seems this variance makes the new cap unable to heat in certains IH. @TommyDee told me the non-working new cap to make sense, here a link he sent me about that "issue": https://www.reddit.com/r/inductionheaters/comments/jbzdmxThere is no ti cap, most likely your unit timed out? trying to heat the SS cap with the ti tip
I have the JarHead and a new IH called ClickAndGo, Wand works noticeably better, I can get pretty thick low temp hits (without to hit the clic), really DV can be happy cause the Wand push the VapCaps in another sphere! Yesterday evening the London's fog cames in my living-room with one single bowl, no combustion involved only pure vapor!I'm definitely getting noticibly better performance with my Wand than my desktop Jarhead IH, but my Jarhead is dying, so I can't draw any big conclusions off of that. Definitely no kind of flower switch on my unit that I can tell.
It fits in your pocket like a small TV remote would. I was at a party and used in conversation with nonvapers like I do the tafee bowle and it was nice. More portable than the orion imoman I have been trying to find a decently priced portable IH for my MVS and other dynavaps and this might be it. I do wonder how truly portable this is? it does look a bit bulkier than other IH. but if it's the best one out there, I think I need to have it .
Yeah really, why not "DIspiser", amirite...?!:The only thing I don't love about this device is the name.
I always get Sony VT6 or LG HG2, both 3000mah, 20amp CDR and will power just about anything 18650.Any recommendations
The batteries will only draw what they need so a 3amp charger will not hurt, 18650 batteries get pretty hot when driven hard or charged fast. I like to charge my 18650 batteries with a designated battery charger (I use Nitecore as my Xstar burnt out) as it is one less heat cycle my vapes have to endure.made the batteries and device warmer than I would like.
Don't use the cup if you're using it with a dynavap. just put the dynavap alone into the IH and you'll be fine. Works great at that same temp with my 2017M and 2020 Ti OmniI ordered The Wand a few days ago from Grasscity and it arrived today. I ordered from Grasscity, rather than from China, to get the batteries as I have no 18650 batteries. The two batteries are branded Aspire and labelled for 2900 mAh.
Topping off the batteries with my phone's USB C charger setup (rated 3 amp I think) made the batteries and device warmer than I would like.
No fourth button and apparently no dry herb setting. Firmware version 00.15.
Lowest temp setting is 250F. With no surprise I combusted on first try of running The Wand in auto mode with a Dynavap stainless cap when set to @250 and the bowl already warm from one hit.
My experience on the subject is pretty low, but is that possibly a simple temp sensor laying on the coil? If I bring the Dynavap cap closer to the sensor will it work somewhat in auto mode? (edit: no, it will not.)
My first impression from someone who
The Wand is going to take some adapting to. Thankfully, the device is less bulky than I thought it would be.
- usually session vapes through water
- uses a Dynavap stainless cap
- uses a triple torch with a moderate flame
- heats lower and slower on the cap
- toasts to a light/medium brown
- so far has only tried one bowl
If I were using it to clear a Dynavap bowl in a hit or two I think this would give me more immediate success.
And, from someone who has never used a convection heater before and only used The Wand once so far, it seems that this would be a more natural match for the Dynavap if the coil was shorter.
Will there be a new bowl insert designed for vaping coming out in the future? I have to think that Ispire has at least discussed it.
Will the firmware be user updateable?
All that said - the effects of the Dynavap and Wand combo were pretty nice on round one.
Edit:
I broke one banger already. My fault for sure. But the glass is thin thin thin. Any of my other glass would have survived the fairly short tumble which broke the banger. A replacement banger at getispire.com costs $26.67 ($19 + $7.67 shipping) for me.
At 250F, in auto mode, a Dynavap sized load, with the surviving banger, an insert, the wand upside down and the carb cap over the bowl ---> awkward and combustion.
