Do you think your list are design shortcomings or were done purposely as to stablish 2 different products? -after all The Wand was not initially intended for Dynavaps..

They are to me, but they’re doing it for their intended use of the IH.

The new design is intended to hang off the bowl/adapter on the bubbler and I think they tightened up the tolerances for a snugger fit so there wouldn’t be any problems, the Wand was handheld or on the stand.
after all The Wand was not initially intended for Dynavaps..
Yes, though their Dynavap adapter was a second thought, it worked good with standard Dynavaps til the Tempest adapter arrived.

I liking the V-Wand pretty good now with the smaller footprint and battery level indicator is a bit better, they don’t have battery removal ribbons and they are hard to remove as they’re so tight.

update on the Anvil: my initial use was using the Thermocore Anvil which has a wider large thermal reservoir limiting entry to the top, but I located my OG coppercore Anvil and it fits thru the top and works really well, me likes.

Hey all, haven't posted for a while, however...just received the Wand IH to use with my recently purchased Dynavap M7 xl, and it's beast! The unit is large - 6.5 in x 2in, solid, well built, and feels like a weapon in my hand. The batteries are replaceable and it should last forever (if I don't drop it too may times). I have experimented with several sessions, and there are so many different variations on how to use with the DV and that's going to be the fun part. The Wand I received came with a black silicon adapter (no glass, just silicone) and it works great with the DV. You can adjust the height in the chamber for different experiences with the capped tip, you can adjust the temperature anywhere from 250 - 800 degrees (and yes, I think temperature makes a difference and will report back later), and you can use it with/without the silicone adapter. So far I've only used in on auto mode, and had good success with the adapter almost flush with the bottom of the chamber - the DV cap is completely in the chamber, and haven't set the temp above 300. The heat up is slower than a torch, and at 300 degrees it took about 15 seconds for the click. The heat up time will vary with the depth of the adapter in the chamber, as well as the temperature, especially if you don't use auto mode or the adapter. I look forward to experimenting with the Wand!

That's not really a temperature adjustment. It's just a timer that's calibrated to the banger cups which come with the Wand--if you're using those, it's designed to heat long enough to reach the set temp. With the Dyna, just use the clicks. With other devices, like the Tempest, people figure out how the timer corresponded to their particular use. It doesn't change the power output.

Yeah, I've been reading various threads about the temperature with banger cups and the DV, however I haven't been able to reach a conclusion, so thanks.
