Is Haze returning the RMA units sent in, or are they locked tight,
toss the keys. No communication.
Sad, if that is the case.
A few reputations are also beyond repair.. Sorry people lost jobs, and their business, and investments.
It’s a product they should have never released.
Thank you for coming forward. This was in vapelife....perspective I guess.....sorry its long....
I was the original beta tester for the Square. I had one of these for years while it was in development (one version or the other). I cannot begin to tell everyone about the number of issues that arose when this was in development.
By the end of the "beta" period there were still things that I felt needed tweaking. Things like how long the battery would work and how to maximize the life of it. Other things like temp adjustments. The issues with the seals that came in the first production run were just gas on the fire.
But I think Haze was at a point last summer where it was get it out or be gone then. I don't know this for fact but I know enough from dealing with them over the years.
Was the product perfect when released? No but new products rarely are. I do however think it had a ton of potential and I had some of the nicest vapor plooms out of any portable I own. In the end I think this and the dual suffered from being too complex with too many pieces for most individuals. And both probably requiring more effort to clean than anyone desires. And this cleaning in particular impacted the performance. In my opinion it's what caused a lot of the combusting that people reported with the Square. Could this have been avoided? Well possibly I guess but again I don't think they were in a financial position to wait any longer.
How they went out with no notice, well I can see why people would not like it. Particularly those who recently purchased or have pending warranty claims. Yes it really sucks for those people. I feel bad but this is the risk we all take when purchasing products, especially from smaller less known companies. I do know that the owners are not happy. Having worked with them for years I got to know them. I got to know the whole Haze family and even some of the extended family. Trust me when I tell you that this is not how anyone wanted this to end. The principal owner put a lot of money and spent a lifetime away from his family trying to make this work. Nobody is more disappointed to give up a decade of their life to build this baby only to see it all go down the tubes.
Edit: looking back now I know why original.ship.date pushed back by month.....hindsight

Thank you@analytika I believe @Other Side was the original poster from VL
Good to know its not just my unit whose battery constantly drainsI thought it was a long and stellar beta program...lots of testers, structure, and division of testing. My testing was very focused. I wasn't aware of what, if any, suggested changes made it to production, but that's nothing unusual. I don't remember communicating with any other testers.
I still love my Square. The main downfall is the battery drains so quickly when sitting there. If I give myself an hour's notice, I can have it fully charged before I need it. Fuck...I really wanted this one to succeed.
We kinda killed Haze, guys.. Sooo many requests, returns, complaints.
Is that closed down as well?
