Easily remedied with a standard cap but I shouldn't have to replace anything on a £200 device.
Squeeze captive cap on sides that indents are not located so they (the indents) no longer "dig" into the tip...not the best solution but it can work...
I think I’ll just leave mine alone, and either use it or not...not like I have no extra caps.Thats my sentiment.
Yeah, it opens the airflow up way too much.
I hope I’m not being redundant here, but if your Omni’s at “max extension” that implies that your own air path is sealed off: messing with the airport will do nothing but distract you. You’d get no ‘cooling effect’ at all, due to no draw existing. I know nothing about the stinger, but the Omni is straightforwardI was very disappointed with the Stinger. I use my Omni with the condenser at max extension, and never feather the air port. You can't do that with the Stinger and when I tried it in my Omni and M's I wasn't getting the same performance and the cooling effect, to me, was minimal at best compared to the Omni condenser and imo it costs too much. I haven't tried a vortex so can't offer an opinion on it but I am glad they work for you.
I bet if you put in your order comments to swap out the cap for a regular one, they would do it?
dynavap seems pretty cool like that?
Full extension doesn't close the airport on my Omni but does minimize dilution.I hope I’m not being redundant here, but if your Omni’s at “max extension” that implies that your own air path is sealed off: messing with the airport will do nothing but distract you. Others here have said that they've asked, and were declined.
Or they can charge you $5 for two indents. As that repeated request become more common, DV will most likely see
It to be a reasonable one, and change their policy. One can hope
What’s your mouthpiece/condenser set at? Been running all my stems through glass for such a long time I forgot I get omnilip with the Ti mouthpieceThe new Omni tip runs cooler than the gen 4 7&5 fin tips so no 1 hit extraction unless you use a miniscule amount.
Full bowl + torch - 3-5 cycles for full extraction.
Full bowl + IH - 5-6 cycles + stirring for full extraction using PSM.
I'm really impressed with the new Omni overall especially the new condenser/mouthpiece that makes the need for a Simrell redundant.
Mine was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but it got stuck at the distribution center.Or they can charge you $5 for two indents.
I need to shake this negativity, coffee probably wont help but fuck it.
Concerned about the QC on the Vongs especially as mine is in transit somewhere.
Coffee though...
I run my condenser at full extension so I don't have to worry about fingering holes! Through glass the new Omni produces a bit more vapour than the 2017 version and heats up noticeably quicker. What’s your mouthpiece/condenser set at? Vaoefiends sent my omni 21 today, cant wait!!!!
You're going to love them.Same here, can’t wait.
The interior of the vong is all titanium. The wooden body is like a shell that spins around the titanium. Its easy to clean with a Qtip with iso.I've seem people run the Vong with the Simrell Stinger, but if the condenser can't fit in the tip because of the vortex thingy, some vapor will go around freely in the Vong body which is wood, which can't be opened for a proper cleaning?! Is that correct?
The condensor on the stinger os adjustable, so it should workI've seem people run the Vong with the Simrell Stinger, but if the condenser can't fit in the tip because of the vortex thingy, some vapor will go around freely in the Vong body which is wood, which can't be opened for a proper cleaning?! @snackmaster @djchexxx alright good to know as i'm interested in this set up, thanks!!The interior of the vong is all titanium. The wooden body is like a shell that spins around the titanium. Its easy to clean with a Qtip with iso.
