I guess it's been a while since I bought a body from DV. My newest (not new) has Grey HT Orings, but when did they start shipping with Grey XRings?

Easily remedied with a standard cap but I shouldn't have to replace anything on a £200 device.

Thats my sentiment.

Squeeze captive cap on sides that indents are not located so they (the indents) no longer "dig" into the tip...not the best solution but it can work...

Yeah, it opens the airflow up way too much...in my opinion.

I think I’ll just leave mine alone, and either use it or not...not like I have no extra caps.
No, that doesn’t mean I’ve received my new toys.

I was very disappointed with the Stinger. I use my Omni with the condenser at max extension, and never feather the air port. You can't do that with the Stinger and when I tried it in my Omni and M's I wasn't getting the same performance and the cooling effect, to me, was minimal at best compared to the Omni condenser and imo it costs too much. I haven't tried a vortex so can't offer an opinion on it but I am glad they work for you.
I hope I’m not being redundant here, but if your Omni’s at “max extension” that implies that your own air path is sealed off: messing with the airport will do nothing but distract you. You’d get no ‘cooling effect’ at all, due to no draw existing. I know nothing about the stinger, but the Omni is straightforward

I bet if you put in your order comments to swap out the cap for a regular one, they would do it?
dynavap seems pretty cool like that?

yeah, a choice of cap options upon purchase would be the best option.

I have so many as it is I doubt I would ever really NEED a new one.

Full extension doesn't close the airport on my Omni but does minimize dilution.
I made the mistake of thinking I could extend the Stinger condenser into the Ti tip in the same way as the Omni but the twisted piece in the condenser prevented that from happening. I could only compare with the Omni set at minimum extension and in that position I found the difference minimal between the two.

Others here have said that they've asked, and were declined.

 As that repeated request become more common, DV will most likely see
It to be a reasonable one, and change their policy. One can hope

One can also hope that DV will eventually chage their entrenched philosophy of
“A battery less/free world”, and market DV MIH (Magnetic Induction Heaters) in
A very lucrative market, demand wise.

💪 A perfect marriage, TED + MIH.:spliff:

Or they can charge you $5 for two indents.
I need to shake this negativity, coffee probably wont help but fuck it.
Concerned about the QC on the Vongs especially as mine is in transit somewhere.
Coffee though...

The new Omni tip runs cooler than the gen 4 7&5 fin tips so no 1 hit extraction unless you use a miniscule amount.
Full bowl + torch - 3-5 cycles for full extraction.
Full bowl + IH - 5-6 cycles + stirring for full extraction using PSM.
I'm really impressed with the new Omni overall especially the new condenser/mouthpiece that makes the need for a Simrell redundant.
What’s your mouthpiece/condenser set at? Been running all my stems through glass for such a long time I forgot I get omnilip with the Ti mouthpiece

Mine was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but it got stuck at the distribution center.

I run my condenser at full extension so I don't have to worry about fingering holes! Through glass the new Omni produces a bit more vapour than the 2017 version and heats up noticeably quicker.

Vaoefiends sent my omni 21 today, cant wait!!!!
Same here, can’t wait.
You're going to love them.
The new unit is amazing and produces larger clouds compared to the old Omni.
However, try the new condenser and mouthpiece in your old Omni if you have one. Hits harder than a Mack truck.
Enjoy.

I've seem people run the Vong with the Simrell Stinger, but if the condenser can't fit in the tip because of the vortex thingy, some vapor will go around freely in the Vong body which is wood, which can't be opened for a proper cleaning?! Is that correct?

The interior of the vong is all titanium. The wooden body is like a shell that spins around the titanium. Its easy to clean with a Qtip with iso.

The condensor on the stinger os adjustable, so it should work

@Sikost you're right that the stinger gets stems dirtier because there's a gap between the tip and condenser when using the intercooler, but (as @djchexxx pointed out) the new vong is ti-lined so it's not hard to clean
