My Curly Pyinma UD has a luster that has a grain pattern of it's own and hard to capture in a single image. Luster has a different pattern than the wood grain.I've tried to take photos of it to catch all the subtleties of it, but it's not easy for me.
I'm seeing that kind of complexity even in my stem. Tiny knots like you described all bunched together. Just a small amount of blond on the tip. Wavy swirls throughout. The wood has all these knots in it with some negative space. When Ed cut mine it SEEMS like the hard and soft places made this wavy surface to a few of sides of my stash. This with the cracks and deep redish brown color make it seem kind of old.
George is into 3D printing ideas and sharing his stash ideas with the family too. How cool is that?Wow... talk about cool. Gotta love the dynavap family.
Wanna help me decide on a first VapCap purchase?
I read all the way through the Best Of thread plus a bunch of pages of this thread. I'd like to stay cool and I'd like to fit my VC to some sort of 14mm water pipe eventually. Does that make me a good fit for an OmniVong or NonaVong I guess? I prefer microdosing and size isn't an issue so I'm thinking an XL or XLS would be the move. Not an M since the oven size isn't adjustable.
Thanks for any suggestions.
The "M" is INSANE as MEDICATING very hard!I knew you would like it. It absolutely takes the cake for simplicity and elegant function. And its a stoner lego like you wouldn't believe.
Isn't SS better than titanium 4 flavor?I’m with @ataxian I love the M. I know it’s not as fancy as some others, but I’m more a minimalist. To me that’s what “m” means. Most people start with an M and then work their way up. I started with an Omni and worked back to the M. I still use them both, but I just like the minimal design of the M and I use it more often. I’m hoping for an M with an all Titanium construction.
Probably no .Isn't SS better than titanium 4 flavor?
Very interesting point, SDS - we have an SS egg in the kitchen for washing hands after chopping onion/garlic etc. It kinda works - no idea how - it must be great to know "How Stuff Works". But the M definitely delivers flavour - certainly on the 1st & 2nd cyclesThat's why you can find ss soap bars.
Probably no .
The other way around .
Stainless steel affects in some degree some flavors/odors .
Some terpenes as well other compounds can be "neutralised" when they come in contact with ss .That's why you can find ss soap bars.

My last order came in real quick! Ordered on the 20th got it in mail today. Took 7 days to Germany on the holidays. Thank you for this great job @VapCap !
My last step in stoner lego is completed. Now I have a Ti M-XLS.
Was a bit surprised that it doesn't fit in my dynastash anymore. didn't think about that. Luckily they send me a XL storage tube.
Now I'm looking forward an Omni or a dynastash XL or the feeder or a Ti MP or....
I believe that is a Ti tip, M stem and XL condenserNo comparison.
Curious. what makes your M a Ti M?
The Vapcap is a manually driven vape. The experience is as good as the driver. Read the thread and the Best Of thread. Keep trying....what do you mean with "no comparisson" ?
Am I the only one who finds the vapcaps lacking in flavour compared to a solo?
No comparison.
Curious. what makes your M a Ti M?
However, a quote:
“warning: stainless steel soap contains chromium, a chemical known to the state of california to cause birth defects or other reproductive harm”.
Could you elaborate on the difference in flavor as I'm curious, too.
The ti tip, I would think.
Chromium & SS:
Stainless steel is a metal alloy, made up of steel mixed with elements such as chromium, nickel, molybdenum, silicon, aluminum, and carbon. Iron mixed with carbon to produce steel is the main component of stainless steel. Chromium is added to make it resistant to rust.
What's the difference between 304 and 316 stainless steel? The simple answer is 304 contains 18% chromium and 8% nickel while 316 contains 16% chromium, 10% nickel and 2% molybdenum. The molybdenum is added to help resist corrosion to chlorides (like sea water and de-icing salts)
Looks like all stainless steel contains chromium:
https://mightynest.com/articles/stainless-steel-all-about-food-grade-304-188-and-1810
Quite correct.Yes ,indeed.
BUT ...
Chromium comes in many different valence states .
The Cr+1, Cr+3, Cr+4, Cr+5 and the Cr+6 ...
" Trivalent chromium (Cr(III)) ion is an essential nutrient in trace amounts in humans for insulin, sugar and lipid metabolism, although the issue is debated.
While chromium metal and Cr(III) ions are not considered toxic,
hexavalent chromium (Cr(VI)) is toxic and carcinogenic. "
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chromium
" Hexavalent chromium can be formed when performing "hot work" such as welding on stainless steel or melting chromium metal. In these situations the chromium is not originally hexavalent, but the high temperatures involved in the process result in oxidation that converts the chromium to a hexavalent state "
" Exposure and safety issues
Hexavalent chromium is a constituent of tobacco smoke "
Vapers shouldn't be worrying that much.
As opposed to smokers ...
Cigs and blended joints are far more dangerous than stainless steel ,
regarding hexavalent Cr .
