Personally, I think a more 'copperplate' typeface fits better with the Vapcap product line.
It would look very at home on wood models, and would lend a little 'hand crafted' sensibility to the ultra modern looking models like the all Ti' Omni's.

On mobile at the moment, so I can't offer a proper mockup, but the image above is an ambigram in a gothic style script.
There are bound to be better typefaces, and if @VapCap liked the ambigram idea it's possible to commission an ambigram artist to design a proper one in the style you prefer.

Something flowing and stylish with a little flourish maybe?

@VapCap I really like the detail you can achieve with the new laser. Really sharp, especially the "Made in USA" on the cap. It's amazing that lettering so tiny can be so clear!

I do prefer the old logo, however. It is easy to read and recognize. I could read the new logo, but it took me awhile to decipher it. I know what it is supposed to say, but someone seeing it for the first time probably would not. Also, I like the vapor element in the current logo. It can be separated from the word Dynavap and used by itself. Just MHO.

Here's an article on logo design that I have found to be pretty informative --

Greetings,

Busy week at Dynavap. Many changes in process. We're getting to know our LASER a bit better.
Check out the new cap.

Finished the roof project,

And then there is this. A new suggestion for a logo. We weren't even looking for a new one or to change it.
And there it was.

And the cap.

Thank you,

HI George - I like the new logo strictly from an aesthetic point of view. However, since logos are really part of "marketing and advertising", it may not be clear enough that this means DynaVap. On the other hand, it is way cool looking and look at auto line badges like Toyota or Acura. Just a symbol. I do really like the look of the new logo.

Either way, definitely keep the Made in USA, if you can.

Cap looks very nice, is function identical?

Hi fellas, I'm new here, not new to vaping, but I'm new to this place. Anyways, late last night I found myself laying in bed for quite awhile reading this thread, and I'm rather interested in these vaporizers.

I'm coming from the PAX 2 I've daily used for awhile now attached with a silicone adapter, and water adapter. Anyways I have some questions I couldn't seem to find the answers to in this thread, or on their site, if maybe some of you guys could answer them?

Primarily I use my PAX2 and water adapter, I've just always used waterpipes, I prefer my smoke/vapor to go through water to cool/filter out any particles. So I'm looking @ the VonG type? I really like the wood aspect of it. However there's the model S, and the model Ti, I see one's longer, and has a little different of a shape to it. What's better?

Then there's the Omnivap, now can an Omivap be used on water attachments? Can the Omnivap take wooden bodies?

There's so many models, and not enough information on the site, I find myself kinda confused. Really, I'd kinda like to do what I do with my Pax2. That is I can take it out with me stock on the go if need be, or if I'm home chilling I can just attach the adapter, and use a water attachment with it.

@Squiby will probably come along and give a better explanation but I always refer back to this pic to help clear things up

Well, it isn't what you asked for, but it's what I've got!:
jlP1SCN.jpg

Please note that although I drew this, and have permission to post it here, the image belongs to George @VapCap

I realize there aren't any dimensions on the drawings, but at least you can see which stems and condensers go together.

If anyone spots any errors please alert me and anyone else who I may have misled!

All the wood body's have the Ti tip. The difference is in body length. There's two ss condensers, the standard and the xl. The s models have a short body (45mm i think) and mp on a standard condenser. The regular Ti woodys and VonG stem (67mm I believe) fit the standard condenser without a mp. The xl condenser makes it so mp's can be used with the full size bodies. The omni can be used through water if you get a fat mp to go with it, or one of @Ratchett 's universal SonG adapters. Wood bodies will fit it also if you would prefer to get a Ti VonG body for it instead.

I agree, it's pretty confusing at first. The site could do better at explaining things to new customers. But thankfully FC has all the answers ;)

The proposed new modern logo does look pretty cool, but I prefer the current logo. It just feels more warm and fuzzy, vs cold and sharp. If that makes any sense.... :)

@VapCap since you have that fancy laser now... would you consider doing custom engraving?

Could the laser do something like this along the side of a titanium body?

xt9Nkpu.png

And could it do something like this on the flat cap end of the tip?

An Om symbol would be so awesome, and it will be in the same spirit as the spinning ritual of the cap!

@VapCap - I definitely prefer the original design on the cap. Easier on the eyes for me, much more pleasant to look at. This is beautiful, please don't change it.

Hi check out page 284 where I asked about the best way to attach the omnivap to a water bubbler with 18 mm connection. Here is one of my messages below, it is all on lage 284.

Okay I just took a crash course on uploading images but Im no computer whizz and have a somewhat autistic brain when it comes to anything practical so I hope this works.

First image is the Ti tip alone direct into the 18mm VonG. I checked the airflow by drawing on the other end of the VonG and it is actually very good, far greater than the airflow with the body attached and carb closed, so clearly without the body on the tip there is much greater airflow which should be a good thing:

Next 2 images show first the diameters of the inside of the VonG and the omnivap mouthpiece side by side, and then the 2 attached as much inserted as possible, but not inserted at all because it just wont fit inside one bit:

And finally is an image of the Ti tip removed and the omnivap condenser tube loosely fotted inside the VonG. I bet it could work like this but it wont be airtight and will rely on concentration to keep it aligned.

I hope these images can be viewed. I followed the instructions exactly for which a link was suitably provided a page or two ago. If not any moderator assistance will be welcome.

So at the moment, unless there is another trick I am missing here, it would seem that the Ti tip direct into the 18mm VonG is the only, and optimal way to go, with very good airflow and ease of use.

Edit: Hooray, it worked! Im so proud of myself and my slow brain, and I feel like I have finally arrived at the party! (I still cant type though, just edited a dozen typos!)

The subsequent messages get to the bottom of how to attach the omnivap to a water pipe, using the "short 18mm VonG" I ordered.
But you can get hte omnivap with a VonG body, to either 14 or 18 mm, and use it as a handheld, water free, and then just stuck it into a bong directly as well.

With my one, I also wanted the titanium and glass bodies, so I got the short 18 mm VonG.

Its dead easy to switch, justbpull out the mouthoiece with condenser attached, remove the Ti tip from the omnivap body, and stick it into the top of the VonG, then put the condenser and mouthpiece in from the other end. It takes seconds.

But you can attach the original glass vapcap, and probably many of the other models, including the omnivap, with the rubber mouthpiece that goes with the OG.
It creates a seal with a 14 mm water pipe, or you can use a joint converter into 18 mm glass.

For evrybody now, 2 more loads of abv from unground bud. What beautiful looking abv!
You can see all the trichomes still intact. For shitty UK outdoor, it looks like okay bud doesn' it?
The durban is on left, widow on right:

Notice how even the extraction is. Both loads took 3 cycles. I strarted heating on the diggerouter end, moving to the middle eventually before the click.
Good visible vapor on first cycles. Then 2 more cycles with thick vapor and all spent. Better taste and smoother with unground bud. I tried to avoid heating the diggerouter end on 2nd and 3rd cycles, but with the quad torch I am using, it is almost impossible to avoid the diggerouter end, without heating the tip up which brings a sooner click, and less dense hits, and more heating cycles.
So I just kind of kept to the middle of the cap with the flame.
I think when I try a single torch lihter, it will be possible for me to control the process more by heating specific points on the cap more precisely.

Most definitely.

Once you've been seduced by it, remember to buy a Dynastash, they're almost as cool as the VapCaps!

I like the new cap, but think it might be better for the titanium, steel, and carbon bodies. With wood I think I prefer the old logo. Glass I could go either way.

My first cap didn't have a digger or a logo. I prefer the old style font and to be fair I don't use the digger.

@Chose nice to see another UK VC'er joining us. You will enjoy it.

Feels like an age since I've done a video, VC porn anyone?

It's 3 odd minutes so feel free to skip bits, the sound track is a tube freebie. You can see me use an ally pot to get it to cool quicker, the time to cool click frustrates me. Triple jet set to about 25% for a bit of a session rather than hit and run.

I wish I could take credit for making this but I simply bought it with the hope it would re-purpose.
For me this has to be the most exquisite VC stem I've put together.

As I said before I don't think @VapCap knew what some random avatar from a prohibitive country would come up with once the VC fever really caught hold.

An explanation of what it is and what's been done is in the Shed.

Mine arrived on Thursday from vapefiend. Still learning but really like it. Goes straight into my bubbler that I use for my crafty and mighty.

Just freakin' perfect PP
What an amazing find!
I look forward to seeing a matched wood body!

You know those guitar hangers that are just two pegs?

A pair of pegs would fit nicely between the two 'thorax' bulges:science:

In all seriousness though, that's a lovely stem

@Copacetic the wood body is on the cards, when I get time.
Fingers crossed I can keep the same dimensions as the glass, it will mean a departure from the basic internals. Everything else crossed I can pull off the twist, I have another trick or two up my sleeve for that one if I can't.

I had a VC epiphany type thing the other day when I did this mod.
It's opened up a whole new avenue of possibilities. Super slim is more than likely on the cards.

I think we may have to discuss some sort of labor exchange, I could do with a nice set of well produced sketches and I am sure there will be something I can find that you will enjoy?

I got a Vertigo inline triple torch today, and it works really well with the vapcap. The three flames hit the entire length of the cap at once, instead of having to wiggle the flame up and down the cap while heating.

I got it here. Came with a nice black pouch too. I like that the entire tank is clear, so no having to look in a tiny fuel window to see what the butane level is.

I ordered from Dynavap a few weeks ago. The green envelope arrived at my door I think 7 days later. I was expecting a card to pay customs charges, but magically, that didn't happen, if you get me!

So no extra charges, and just $13 shipping to UK, and the basic vapcap is $35 on the Dynavap website.
So just an OG (original, or basic) alone delivered to UK from US is $48. Which is no more than £40. So vapcaps ate available everyone at very competitive prices, direct from Dynavap, and their service is really great.

At the same time, I quite like the guy from Vapefiend, I spoke to him on the phone and he sounded really sound and honest. So support him as well, but the option is there for direct order from US, and so far Vapefiend only has the basic vapcap and no accessories, but they hope to expand that.

Ordered Friday from vapefiend arrived in less than 24hrs ...

All buttered up but pics don't do the wood justice after resizing, £115 (with code) for both so not a bad price, had wanted the blackwood but only the cocobolo had the double crown so went with that and after seeing it in person I'm happy I did.

Think I prefer this to my glass original but that could just be the new factor

Anyways big thanks to @VapeFiend.com for putting up with my phone calls and picking a beauty, and not forgetting @VapCap for making this all possible, good times

Absolutely no complaints with the performance, ti tip works perfectly in it. The wood is crazy smooth, it makes spinning it while I heat it super easy. Especially since the stem is a bit longer and the bottom in your palm is round while the part you hold is squared. I only used it twice last night before it knocked me out, so I haven't had a chance to see how it reacts to a lot of use. I'm not too worried about that, so far the only thing I'm watching out for is slobbering too much and discoloring the end or something. It's also easy to get hypnotized by it and start playing with it like a weirdo and forget the end is super flipping hot. I really enjoy the extra length on the stem and really just love it overall.
I just want to add that, in spite of having 5 versions of the dynavap stems, this is the one I mainly use. Not only is it mild but, for some mysterious reason, the taste of the vapor is improved.
