I've been using the ispire wand for a few weeks now, along with the dynavap adapter kit (as SK creations won't ship their insert worldwide). It works great, on par with the torch or even better. The dynavap glass insert does, sadly, increase heat up duration but for me hands free operation is essential, so it's required regardless.

I wasn't expecting it to be so heavy, at 260 grams including batteries and glass insert. I like to travel light, so it stays at home mainly and have ended up buying a XMAX pro 3 for out and about, which is more discrete anyway.

An unexpected bonus: I discovered that the size and portability of the wand also helps with hearing the click. It's easier (or safer) to get the wand near to your ear (where the click is louder) compared to a mains IH or a torch.

I listen to a 'lot' of music at home, so before buying the wand, I would have to turn the music right down (to almost silent) in order to hear the click reliably, which is really annoying to be honest.

By holding the wand in one hand with a finger perched over the on/off button (and the glass insert for hands free operation), I can rest the dynavap's mouthpiece against my earlobe, or even into the ear opening, and easily hear the click no matter how loud the music is! If not vaping alone, however, then probably not going to touch the ear for hygiene reasons. 90% of my vape time is solo though.

This helps address what for me is the only negative of using a dynavap in general; namely that it's hard to hear the click in a noisy environment, especially if you have hearing loss of higher frequencies, which of course affects everyone as they grow older to varying degrees. And, as we know, some caps click less loudly than others and this can change depending on tip used too.

So, the wand has been a super purchase for me for home (and occasional away from home) vaping!:myday:

I am new on here and looking for a portable vaporizer. I got intrigued with how the Dynavap works and with an induction heater that can be portable I think that is what I would like to possibly try as my first vape.

Does anyone know if there is a bundle deal that includes a portable induction heater, or which one you all would recommend.

Quick backstory: just started using cannabis for chronic pain hence the username. I am entrenched in a battle with worksafe (live in BC Canada) after being cutoff financially over a year ago. Long story short, I tried numerous prescriptions from doctor to no evail and finally got him to agree that we should try medical cannibas.

This all being said, $$ is super tight so looking for a good setup that can last me a while but don't have the biggest budget. So looking for you experienced users and members of this forum to hopefully help me out!

If there is a dedicated pain section please refer me to that also for dosing/usage etc...Thanks in advance!

Welcome! A Dynavap's a solid first choice, especially for people coming from pipes and joints. The performance is robust for a small, less-expensive portable.

Unfortunately, you just missed a handful of sales at Dynavap. But if you start an account over there and sign up for the newsletter, you'll get the next heads-up.

@VGOODIEZ has the Ispire Wand for -25% with the sale code, it's less pocketable than some, but one of the best performers. I'm not sure where you could get a Dynavap on sale currently. The Dynavap "B" is like $50, but if you can spend more, the "M" is a better device.

Sneaky Pete has Dynavaps and accessories in the GWN.

I'm sure you're in the right place for that, but you'd have to search for particular topics. If you can't find what you want, try googling the topic and FC. You should turn up more threads that way.

Best to you!

OT Chronic pains is nasty. There are dispensary with knowledgeable people that can point you to different strains that might work for your particular situation. Keep in mind what works for one person may not for another. Also, some heavy Indica strains are great for pain, but will couch lock you for the entire day. A general rule of thumb is; Sativas in the morning, Hybrids in the afternoon, and Indicas at night. The conduction properties of the Dyna vapour should provide what your looking for.

If money is tight, this mail order store in BC, soothingvapours.ca has a starter bundle (see below photo) that has all you need for only $70.00 CAD. @Grover will hook you up. You can find it HERE. Good Luck!

Thank you for your reply. I saw the glass bead 3 was part of a bundle like this one? But didn't seem like you could get the bb6 or 9 in the bundle. Is there much difference between the 3,6 and 9 cooling wise?

I had the Xmax pro 3 but I returned it. Had bought it for skiing purposes mainly but it failed in that department. I just received the DaVinci IQC I ordered instead and waiting to use it. But I was hoping an IH would allow me to take my Dynavap out and about in our cold Canadian winter. I expected it to be big but somewhat less than a Rover.

Regarding the wand, are you getting a decent amount of click out of a full charge? I’m a bit surprised people get up to 150 clicks out of a Rover running on 1500mAh when the Wand out of the box is 5800 mAh and by some accounts, a few are getting less than 40 clicks. I know about the pass through charging and battery replaceability but was just curious as to out of the box performance on a full charge.

Thank you for your insight

@ChronPain86 the wand is a great heater! but if you are a heavy user then you will need one or two sets of spare batteries.

If you vape mostly at home, a plug in induction heater could be a better option.

The bundle endof3d recommended, is a good starter and well priced. The BB series are awesome for flavor(when clean) and don't get hot to the touch as quickly as metal.

If you are comfortable with using a torch lighter I say go for the bundle, then if you like the dynavap experience, you could always buy an induction heater later. :spliff:

Hey FC! It’s been quite a while since my last post here but I never stopped lurking. My husband and I decided to get ourselves some Dynavaps during the Black Friday sales. He ordered an ‘M’ and the Ispire Wand & insert from Dynavap. Came with a free DynaStash. I ordered a Ti Tip, Low Temp Cap and the Rover Induction Heater from Planet of the Vape. Right after ordered a LittleFinger GonG adapter on eBay. That would be my home setup. With a $10 e-gift card they gave me for buying the Rover I caught the end of their Black Friday sale and ordered the Ti XL condenser and the Ti Spinning Mouthpiece. Went back on eBay and ordered a custom Ti stem. Bootlegged my way to a titanium Dynavap with low temp cap for $104! That was my plan for my on-the-go setup.

He loves the ‘M’/stainless steel- it makes some big ol’ clouds and he likes it like that. It took me a little while longer to warm up to my own setup but once I got thru the learning curve I have no regrets. The Low Temp cap is perfection- when I hit it dry I fully respect the click. When hitting through water I heat it a few seconds after the click. Works like a charm.

BOWL SIZE/HERB CONSERVATION:

It wouldn’t be a proper vape review if I didn’t mention the tiny bowl loads, and the Dynavap doesn’t disappoint. I set my screen to the half-bowl size the day I got it and haven’t looked back. I love those first couple of flavorful hit so needing to load the bowl more often is totally fine by me.

INDUCTION HEATERS:

Love the Rover, he got the ispire wand and insert. They both work great, he’s jealous my battery lasts so long and i’m jealous that the wand charges via USB C and that the batteries are user-swappable. The induction heaters are where I found a slight flaw in my chosen setup- the Ti Tip and Low Temp cap cool down so fast that there’s not much residual heat left in the cap for subsequent heat ups. So my 5 or 6 titanium heat-ups compared to his 2 or 3 stainless heat-ups drains the Rover battery sooner than I planned. We travel quite a bit so my instinct was to get the portable heater but I just started working from home right before I bought it, so in hindsight I could have gotten the “desktop” Apollo until I actually NEEDED something portable.

THE STEMS:

While the LittleFinger GonG adapter is an awesome budget setup, I quickly understood why the Dynavap VonG exists. Using the GonG gives you that thick milkshake pull, which is great for some folks but I am not particularly a cloud chaser, so it is a little exhausting to use all of the time. For me, having any sort of control over the airflow would make this setup perfection.

Eventually my Ti stem arrived from the UK and while it looks similar and very cool, it is definitely not the one that I ordered. I chose one that was a standard stem size and this one is long enough to fit the XL condenser without the mouthpiece. He was nice enough to drill a carb hole in it upon request. It took over a month to get here and I got it for a great price so i’m not sending it back but it I bought that Ti spinning mouthpiece so I’m using it dammit! There is a pretty significant gap between the bottom of the tip and the top of the condenser, but it cools down like a boss and I don’t cough when I hit it dry so I can’t complain. It’s just sooooo loooong.

Our Current Collection:

IN CONCLUSION:

We are very quickly understanding why people have so many Dynavaps- I just want them all over our house. In the time to took for the Ti stem to arrive we started turning our own wood stems. He’s got big hands and wanted a stem that’s a little more beefy. I wanted a bootleg VonG. I think we’ve finally both turned a couple that we’d like to keep for our own collection but in the journey to our favorite designs we turned quite a few stems to get there. We sanded and polished a few of them and threw them up on Etsy if anyone is interested. It would only go to fund our Dynavap addiction😂 Our shop name is KansasClones.

Thank you everyone for all the reviews before this. I know not everyone is here for the longer reviews but those are what help me the most so hopefully I can help out the next person. It’s been 15ish years of vaporizer research and purchasing and FC has never let me down. This community is dope and thank you for staying that way💜

Thanks, @dncrgrl , first new stem I've gotten in awhile and it sure was worth it!

Sorry man, haven't really been paying attention to how far a charge goes. I'm a relatively light user and the batteries easily last a couple of evenings from fully charged.

Agreed that you will probably need spare batteries if a heavy user and using away from home.

At home using the wand, when the batteries get near to being discharged, I plug in a usb cable and carry on using it while it's recharging. So no particular disadvantage compared to using a mains IH.

If vaping away from a desk, you should still be able to find a usb port within reach or use a long usb cable from a socket somewhere, just as you would need to be near a socket for a mains IH.

About the Dynacoil titanium coil for concentrates... how rigid is it? can it be slightly expanded or compressed to fit in a very slightly smaller or larger glass tube ? My tube ID is 8mm and the ID of my Dynavap ti bowl is about 7.8mm...

it's reasonably flexible being made of thin titanium. it's possible to unclasp the outer retention tab and expand it i guess but i wouldn't recommend it to avoid damage. pretty easy to compress a little by holding it by the center tab with tweezers and just twisting it tighter.

I was going through my old gear from my heady days of herb smoking. Sometimes I can repurpose pieces for vaping. I found my Marley Naturals Glass Taster. As I looked at the Dynavap Titanium tip I thought, does the Titanium tip fit my Marley hitter? Now I have a Marley Naturals Dynavap! I got smacking hits of smooth and flavorful vaper with the Ispire Wand SKC. It's design adapts to my 14mm water pipes as well. With no carb it fills my STAX WP with dense bubbly satisfaction in the process of wish fulfilment. The taster costs 30 bucks and It looks very much functional art with a mindful attention to detail. Marley Naturals products are from the Bob Marley Estate. The taster has a walnut wood removable Mouth Piece and a glass hitter end. The glass part cleans up with alcohol, Q tips and pipe cleaners. I use my wand in a zippered hand case for on the go. While waring the lanyard that's hooked to my case it looks like I am taking a picture while my Dynavap is heating. Very sneaky :) and so far no one has noticed. For users that want to travel, this is an option that is simple and provides automatic predictable results on the fly.

Repurposing stuff to Dynavap is pretty common. Some things I’ve done.
From left:
wpa from Xvape Starry wpa w/FMJ, some work, some are too loose
Bio one hitter glass, OG glass works as well, some don’t as are too loose
Sneaky Pete’s blacked extended Argo stem, love this one

whats up with simrell these days? seems to be less talked about than in th epast, and all the cool designs (like this one omg https://simrellcollection.com/products/magenta-purple-galaxy-burl-mvs-w-matching-tip-stinger) are out of stock. will they ever be back in stock? has someone else taken simrells crown for the prettiest and most functional dynavap stems? how can i get a stem that looks this good, and has the vapour quality and cooling improvements as simrell was always known for?

Simrell is not the go to stem maker I’ve found as his stem offerings are very expensive as he’s doing one off stems in his gallery. I’ve found his stems performance inferior with the problem being the air hole as I’ve Futo stems are better in this area. Quality for both is excellent and I’ve considered Simrell products state of the art in quality control and everything comes fully tested and ready to go. I’m still a big fan of the Stinger condensers both ti and wood mp’s and have enough Stingers to deter a Russian MiG attack. :2c:

examples in my collection:

From left: Simrell XL stem w/wood mp Stinger, Futo Reg. stem w/ wood mp Stinger, Futo XL stem w/wood mp Stinger mounted to Anvil USA, Futo XXL stem w/ti Stinger

Simrell XL stems, MVS, w/wood or ti Stingers

Futo XL stems w/ti Stingers

Futo Regular stem w/Simrell Performance kit condenser, 2 Futo Regular stems and Futo XL stem now w/Dynavap tip w/wood mp Stingers

You could say that the Madheaters Revolve gen 2 stem did just that.

I'm still rocking a OG Simrell Vortex and still really like it. There may be more advanced designs out now that provide cooler vapor, but this thing is dead simple to clean and I really appreciate that..

Good day to you. Before I got the SKC FT I had great success with one of the provided 14mm down stems. Cup the down stem in your hand, drop your dynavap in on auto mode and it heats fast. Be ready to pull it out at the click. It's placement inside the top of the 14 mm cup adapter makes it hands free heating. Hope this helps.

Hey man, thanks for the suggestion. Not sure what you are referring to with 'one of the provided 14mm down stems'. Is it in the wand box?

The Ispire Wand kit ships with 2 x 14mm stems included in the box for adapting water pipes. The 14mm down stem is like a cup. Drop the Dynavap into this glass WP adapter. Hands free leaning and it will click or you can count the flashes in amber color. If you can not get the SKC FT and all you have is just the wand and nothing else try the Dynavap Adapter Kit. The Glass Dynavap Insert Adapter is useless. Thanks for asking me, let me how it goes.

I haven’t been around these parts in ages but I’ll always have love for this little device that was pretty important in my combustion fucking journey and met some really cool & kind people welcomed me here. I’ve only a few vapcap stems these days and haven’t owned a proper Dynavap produced stem since I’d misplaced an OmniXL, one of my first big vape purchases back in 2017. I actually thought it was lost in a car I’d sold a few years ago but just found it in a tiny pen sleeve inside an old travel backpack. Its design is still beautiful to me, spinning that chiselled surface is still a wonderful tactile experience and I’ve now got a proper Dynavap stem in my collection!
