That’s crazy $$$, guess I’m no DV connoisseur... I have the one 7-Fin from last years promo, and while it looks COOL, I can’t tell any COOLING difference from my regular 5-Fin titanium. This of course is native, obviously through any water or ball rig, would mean you just have a cool LOOKING tip! My TIP is wait till the next limited time DV offers them?

oh fuck that, $150 is about £115, I wouldn’t be looking for the old school blocky one, I’d be wanting the newer recent one that looks like the regular ti tip, but not for £115 that’s fucking crazy!

Ya the few I've seen sell.... Mostly the 777 promo version..... went for $150-$200. Enough that I was tempted to sell mine.

Anyways bit of topic but does anyone know what year these were released (Omni and omnivong)?, Just out of curiosity, thought I’d ask the knowledgeable guy/gals on here, im pretty sure someone on here will know, Can’t find out on site bought from, as was buying as a guest a while before I though am always buyin shit here and finally made an account. And a net search didn’t do much.

Fwiw the older 2018 7 fin is far better than the 2021 7 fin. Clears a bowl in 2 cycles to a lovely dark brown abv.

Overfilling or cramming as much in on my Dynavaps always leads to either scorching of the top of the load where it touches the inside of the cap or the need to stir the bowl after a couple of heat cycles.
It's funny how much variation you get with devices that are basically the same!!!

I think the herb plays a bigger part than the differences between our devices. I have the same experience as you, especially when using more stickier and moist bud. Does not seem to be a problem with loose sativas and such...

2 rich for my blood, I’d never spend £110+ on a a tip, anyones know in my pic (up a bit) the years these 2 Dynavap deceives we’re released ?, I’m really quite interested in finding out.

The real cooling doesn't happen in the tip or the fins of the tip.

I'm quite sure even a 1-fin tip thru a Revolve stem would be cooler than a 7-fin thru an M...
I'm sure they are nice tips but personally i feel that most tips are quite good: I like the SS19m tips but also like the SS21m. Or the Vong Ti-tip is quite good too...
For me it's more crucial you really get to know the tip you are using in order to master it completely. Once you are familiar with it most, if not all, tips have the potential to rip ime...

For whatever its worth I don't associate the old 7 fin with additional cooling. I'd say its produces a denser/hotter vapor than the 5 fin. I've always thought that was because the 7 fin has much smaller circles filed into the end of the tip. But thats just me guessing.

hmm maybe because the 7 fin weighs a bit more than the 5 fin tip? the ti 5 fin is like 3.05gr I think?
the weight can be more important other than fin numbers because when a system really use fins to reduce the temp that would be much more than 5 or 7 fins something like 20+...

Edit: @sirwalter i think I figured maybe why it felt denser for you - maybe because it cools better you can take longer hits?

I just threw both on a scale and got 3.4 grams for the 7 fin and 3 for a 5 fin. Im sure the mass plays a part but the biggest difference I notice is the old 7 fin has a tighter airflow than more recent tips, Im assuming from the smaller cut outs I mentioned before. Its more restricted/denser vapor. Just my take of course.

The Vong is from 2020 imo and that style Omnivap was introduced in 2018 but yours has the later curved 5 fin tip so it's either 2019/2020.

After getting my Anvil I sold all the DV’s I owned and thought I’d exited the dynaverse for good.

Well.. I just got offered a shOmni brand new. I now have an Anvil and a short omni on the way

There’s one left on herbivorez and some on Vapefiend by the way. Easy way to get a guaranteed 2018 cap and 3 position 5 fin tip in the UK
