Cap still functional, despite the ding-a-ding-ding

My first cap has a nice little nick in the edge, and still works great. I like that little water piece!

@Ramahs, I dealt with the logo by putting a silicone coffee cup thingie around the piece. Also, I use a DDave wand as a mouthpiece because I’m not a fan of the trumpet-style mouthpiece. (It’s one that didn’t fit a tip, he sent me a replacement, so there's a wrap of copper wire so I can remember which is which)

I don’t have a huge amount of experience with the Dynacoil, but I keep heating it until I don’t get any more vapor and it never seems to go bad, so as long as it’s tasting good and giving you vapor I think you can just keep reheating it.

I don’t think I’ve felt it all over my lips, so I suspect you might be loading a lot. If you load more than most people, you’ll probably get more heat cycles than most people.

I also heat with a single flame Aomai at the bottom of the cap for concentrates. If you heat faster (closer to the closed end of the cap and/or using a double/triple/quadruple flame torch or maybe an induction heater) your results will be different.

I hope that helps, but basically as long as you’re happy with what it’s doing you should be good, and feel free to experiment with heating methods, load amounts, etc. until you find what you like best!

Someone posted the pic below on reddit... It appears like this is the version 2 of the 2019 M tip... In addition to the channels being wider & deeper, the cut outs on the tip is also bigger, almost semi-circular.

But I don’t understand how asking the inflowing air under the cap to change direction 3 times on its way to the tip could be better than letting it flow in a spiral groove without changing direction. Can anyone explain this in lay person’s language?

I am no expert in airflow but common sense tells me the spiral groove just like on the TI tips probably is better as the airflow path goes straight spiral and not in a zigzag. But then that is where marketing comes in... Making it similar to the spiral grooves on the Ti tip would make it the two almost indistinguishable.

FWIW, here is my modded 2018M tip and a Ti tip:

Ti tip channels are deeper and the spiral is shallower making the air travel more before it reaches the tip. I think they are trying to accomplish the same (airflow to travel more) with the zigzag pattern on the 2019 M tip.

If your goal is to get the tip hot, forcing the heated air against the groove wall will do that just like a bent stem gets much warmer than a straight stem. I don't know if that is what they had in mind but it makes sense.

To compare Ti and SS solely based on the airflow without considering the heating profile and material characteristic such as smell and weight imho is totally missing the point. To be honest, if they priced the same I don't think anyone would choose SS function wise!

It’s SS however function’s well!

I also got a DynaCoil that I tried with a freshly cleaned tip and a couple of concentrates that I have been smoking for a long time. The flavor was amazing and true to the tastes that I knew so well. Really impressed!!
