There are a few options...

Top Filter:

Wind a wad of degummed hemp fiber, a couple inches long, into a tight flat spiral pancake. Push it into the herb chamber and tamp it flat over the screen. Add your herb, heat and toke. As you dump your ABV, be aware that the plant material may get a bit caught up on the filter. Unground herb works best using this approach.

Filter Sandwich:

Place a filter on top of the screen as described above. Place another screen on top and push down to the desired depth. The screen may fit tightly. If it does not, place a c-clip on top of the screen to secure it. I use the e-clips that came with the early model tips that secured the ceramic filters.

Easy Under:

Remove your tip from your stem. Ball up a small wad of degummed hemp fiber and shove it up the neck, under the screen.

All of these will trap any tiny bits from entering you vapor path. Well worth the effort IMO.

Thanks to you @Squiby that is how I have used my Vapcap from the very beginning [Top Filter] and it is indeed perfect for me. I can say the same for the mouthpull technique. Your counsels allowed me to enjoy fully the experience from day one. Much obliged.

@FabulatorPoeta, thanks for the paraffin suggestion, I will keep it in mind but honestly I feel the need for an induction heater, I can see how it could elevate the VC into 'possible holy grail' territory

Yeah. My band mates had continued to play over the years but I hadn't. I was shocked how brittle my movements had become and how quickly my wrists got sore. I knew that I wasn't up to putting in the serious effort it would take to reach an even passable level, so I declined.

Anyway, if I'm going to suck at playing an instrument I might as well suck on a Vapcap and enjoy the ride.

While you can do it, I'm not sure how well it would work. @Papi can certainly share that with us. The tight air flow might make it a problem.

I have tried something similar with freer flowing vapes (Milaana and Zion for example) and even that had mixed results. It needs almost a calculation to determine necessary negative pressure and relative airflow for the path of each vape. Of course both of those vapes had a button to press to complicate the issue.

As @Squiby points out there is no way to regulate each vape so you are kinda stuck with whatever the airflow decides.

I had good results with an Arizer Air filled with kief, a CF/x with reclaim and a Fury2 with bud, each further from the bong, I could regulate the CF/x and F2 by feathering their intake holes with one hand to spare, vapcap would be a pain to use this way, session vapes work better.

I'm just playing around and having fun with some glass. It does work with any battery powered vapes tho.. Pull the stopper to clear.
With DV it could be tricky (IH required) and the omnivong fit in the helix would need to be switched to a stem to work correctly..I posted a 3 way setup as a total joke Oh snap

Having fun with glass. It works great with battery vapes. DV could be a challenge without IH.

This actually works well with battery powered vapes.Just playing around with DV's on this and the Oh snap 3 DV build I posted.
The omnivong in the helix would need to be a stem to twist the vapor since it doesn't sit right this way. IH required I guess.

Now you've added this to the mix, and I can't resist what I see as a challenge to my lung capacity . Besides, I love the simple design.

I have been looking locally for someone to cut some glass for me with zero luck so far. The smoke shop I checked at laughed at me. And I know no blowers (of glass).
