A lot of returns reported, yet a lot of folks love their Crafty/Mighty. When I went for a Crafty they were only months on the market, with great reviews and not so much track record. Full retail then was $399 for Crafty. Loved it immediately. Sorry to send it in for warranty, but Pax was waiting on the bench (a back-up is a must). With second Crafty, hated to send in and really didn't like 50 bucks invoice for battery. Second one failed, hated to send it in, but got a new-in-box replacement. #3 crapped out and I upgraded to Mighty for 60 bucks. So, I'm now in for $508 US all together and I've got about 8-9 months' ride left on the 2yr warranty.
All this background is building up to say I think this Mighty thing is awesome, and now that I see some retailers are occasionally selling a Mighty for $340, I would do that and start the ride all over again. My use pattern apparently, ahem, over-works Crafty, so I probably would not get that one. Almost 7 months now on Mighty and function is great.
My experience is limited; so many I've not tried, and so many new ones coming along all the time, but the Mighty does indeed kick butt and, for me, has not been any trouble.

If I had the same exp with the mighty that I potentially would have with the crafty I would probably own a couple craftys at this point! I really want portability though. The mighty I had was insanely awesome!

Good morning, I'm preparing to send my crafty, currently with 180 hours of use, overheating and with a broken case to guarantee the US.
Anyone know how much usually charge the battery saturated? even though the warranty seems they are charging ...
Anyone know if I asking for an upgrade to the might and paying the difference can avoid this extra battery cost?

So I got my magazine today with the 8 capsules. Are these meant to be one time use only? They seem very flimsy and hard to remove the cap without bending the crap out of the capsule. I thought these would be reusable but I can't see them lasting long. I guess I should have bought the 40pcs. Haven't tried them yet but will tonight.

Hold base, pry lid. Hold, don't squeeze.
Left forefinger curls around and cradles capsule.
Left thumb holds base of capsule from opposite side.
Right thumbnail prys lid straight up.
Right forefinger steadies lid during pry.
Think Leverage.

I have both units.
they are both great but very different.
The crafty is like smoking a whole joint (a bit different with dosing capsules)
the FF2 is like having a bong hit or two.
The FF2 has GREAT effect and flavor but the ABV is a bit uneven and it requires stiring.
The crafty needs no stirring and tastes great for the first few hits.
They are both great.
they both use diffeerent techniques.
I prefer the crafty for on the go use. at the moment.

capsules and holder arrived yesterday and today I threw some traditional morrocan hash in it. Since the hash is a very sticky and oily consistency I played it safe and put an old crafty heat chamber screen on the bottom of the capsule. made a thin chip from 0.10g and vaped forever on it at max temp.
Vaped and tastes exactly as without capsule but leaves the chamber shiny instead of messing it up.
For concentrates are smaller ss pads fitting the capsules available at s&b, also got them but I can't try them at the moment due to lack of concentrate.
With herb the caps are awesome, very nice to reload on the bike with one hand in seconds. Just need to order some fine screens for every capsule in bottom and top. Since my herbs are usually bone-dry and I like to vape at dust consistency I had a mouthful on the first use. Usually I place a liquid-pad ontop of the herb to prevent that so it catched me unprepared.

I use the capsules for 2 weeks now and I think they will last a long time! No cleaning until now, only fill-vape-empty and refill.

It's not like a hit and quit vape like the ff2 is. It's a hybrid unit meaning it uses conduction and convection. The ff2 doesn't cook your herb unless you are engaging it. The crafty doesn't fair well for a one or two hits then turn it off kind of vape.

I know it's kind of a guess as to how much conduction vs convection is going on but I usually barely cover the bottom screen and use the liquid pad and get great clouds. Seems since the herb is not touching the walls it is mostly convection unless there is s heat transfer to the liquid pad.

I've seen a couple posts recommending using isopropanol to clean the cooling unit, though I noticed in the instructions it specifies ethanol. I was planning on using iso, has anyone had any issues doing that?

Just push the cap into the basket upside down. (Lid first)
The lid will be tightly secured and stay in place when you lever the cap away. Pls see my post a couple pages back...
Also if you store used caps that way round you know which ones are spent.

I've had my crafty for a couple weeks now & really liking it. My only gripe is that the battery isn't replaceable. I hope S&B change that with their next portable, whenever that may be.
I have yet to use the liquid pad. Tonight I think I'm going to smear a little of this kinda runny & super terpy live resin on the liquid pad & either place that on the bottom & a bit of reefer on top or possibly sandwiched in between two smaller layers of cannabis. Have any of you tried this? If so how were your results.

If that happens, heat it up in the Mighty. The heat will loosen it and allow it to pop right off (even after cooling for a few minutes).
Funny, my very first dosing capsule got stuck like yours, but since then it has never happened (probably because I always take them apart shortly after a session). I like them.
